(lucy) "Who did this to you?" // (char) "Do I know you?"

(lucy) “Who did this to you?”

Aidan groaned, it had been awhile since he had been punched in the face and it was not something he missed at all. He rubbed his head and sighed accepting the bag of frozen peas from Lucy. “I honestly don’t even know, it was a wild night-” Aidan sighed. He had to go to Hollywood parties to appease his boss, and drinking was the only way he felt like he fitted in.

(char) “Do I know you?”

Aidan looked at her confused, he couldn’t tell if she was joking or not, but he chose to take it as her goofing off on him. “Oh you know- just the other person that lives here.”

(char) ❝ what are we if not the world’s champion eaters? ❞ // ❝ take a polaroid. paint a still picture. do whatever you want. ❞ // ❝ give me a burger, onion rings, and a list of people who killed their parents and got away with it. i need some heroes. ❞ // ❝ i think we should get married. ❞

Aidan looked down at all the food in front of them and laughed. They thought doing a mukbang would be cute but now halfway through and he was ready to quit. “I think my stomach needs a reminder of that because it is not computing anymore,” he chuckled.

❝ take a polaroid. paint a still picture. do whatever you want. ❞

Aidan smiled, he knew he had several photos of Char and the people in his life and he would always says that it was because he was constantly updating his portfolio but he enjoyed taking pictures. He especially loved taking photos of Char, she was his favourite muse. “I promise I’m almost done and we can grab food.”

Aidan was in the kitchen making dinner when Char breezed through, he couldn’t help but grin at her statement. “I guess lunch with your dad didn’t go to well?” He asked. Jesse was a sore subject in their relationship considering Aidan hated him and had to pretend to make peace in order to keep Char happy. Jesse was still an asshole that Aidan prayed would get his soon.

❝ i think we should get married. ❞

Aidan almost choked on his sushi when she said the words, he had a ring and was scared she found it. “I— I mean I agree, but you’re kind of stealing my thunder here…”

Char squirmed slightly, laughing despite herself at being tickled. “I really didn’t do anything! Seriously. I had my intro to Women’s Studies class which was good, but the people in it can be kind of jerks. Nothing special.” She pointedly left out the part where she had to go to the bathroom and ride out her panic attacks.

“Babe, that’s amazing!” She grinned. She was genuinely happy that Aidan was starting to get his foot in the door. He worked hard, and he deserved it. “I’m really excited for you.”

Aidan smiled, he was proud of himself and was glad that Char was there for him every step of the way. “I’m pretty excited myself, he’s taking a real chance on me,” Aidan admitted. He wasn’t sure if he was worth it but he was glad that he felt his dreams were coming true. “But it sucks that I barely see you,” he said kissing the top of her head.

Char buried her face into the nook of Aidan’s neck. She wished that she could stay there forever. In his arms, all of her demons quieted. Even if she still was convinced that Aidan would one day leave her for someone better. “It was okay, I guess. You? What did you do?” She was much more interested to hear what he did.

Aidan had felt bad for not being there for her as much, but since he got the internship with Scotty he’s been making himself available around the clock for him. He felt like his dreams were coming true but he just didn’t want to make it seem like he was leaving her behind. “You guess?” He asked tickling her sides a bit. “I wanna hear about your day.”

Aidan recounted the events of his day, it wasn’t super interesting but he was still very happy with how things were going. “We were looking at places to film, getting contracts drawn and everything. Soon we’re gonna start casting, I’m excited,” he said truthfully. It was an amazing experience and he actually liked the screenplay.

charcles:

“No,” Char sat up and pulled Aidan onto the bed with her. “I want to hang out with you. I really miss you, Aid. A lot. Don’t go.”

Aidan chuckled, even though he was stronger than she was he allowed her to pull him down. He snuggled up next to her, wrapping his arms around her. “I’m not going anywhere,” he whispered kissing the top of her head. “How was your day?”

“Sorry. Just tired from class.”

“It’s okay, I was just seeing if you wanted to have dinner together. I finally have a night off, and I miss you. But if you want to get some rest, I’ll just stick your food in the fridge.”
