I agree with everything that you said because I think that everyone wants to be solving problems throughout communications instead of using violence. And even violence won’t solve anything, whereas on the other side, comes communication, where the two sides can her each other out, and understand their reasons for certain actions. So, I think your post sums up what I think of the quote that you chose.
Pick one of the following: Violence can be a reasonable response to an unreasonable situation.” OR “Portraying people with disabilities in entertainment media is unfair.”  Argue your view in two paragraphs on one of these topics. Use examples from the book and personal opinions to support your ideas.
“Violence can be a reasonable response to an unreasonable situation.”
I have two opinions for this quote. Firstly, I disagree because as so many people have said, violence is never the answer. Using violence will only make the problem and situation worst than it already is. Understanding people and knowing their reasons behind certain things will fix everything. Basically communication is kind of a response to everything. Though, Christopher can’t be blamed for the things he has done because of him having Asperger Syndrome, he is acting this way, and using violence in some of the times, like when he hit the police officer in the beginning of the book.
My second opinion is that I slightly agree with this quote only when it comes to self defense. If you were getting attacked by someone, then the only way to escape from this situation is to use violence. So I guess what I’m trying to say, is that violence ca only be used if it means your safety, because that’s what matters the most.

Pick one of the following: “There is no such thing as ‘normal’ when it comes to human beings.”  OR “Lying is always wrong: White lies and lies of omission are as immoral as outright lies.” Argue your view in two paragraphs on one of these topics. Use examples from the book and personal opinions to support your ideas.
“Lying is always wrong: White lies and lies of omission are as immoral as outright lies.”
I agree with this post because I think that lying is always wrong, there is never a time when you will have to lie. In the end, the truth will be revealed no matter how much you try to hide it. And hurting someone with the truth is always better than comforting them with the lie. Lying is also like playing with people’s minds and feelings, which isn’t really nice to be in that certain situation. If you put yourself in the person being lied to’s place, you’ll be expecting the truth off course, and especially if that person is someone you thought you trusted, then the trust between the two people will be gone, and trust is something valuable to own from someone, and a lie isn’t worth breaking that.

Post a song that you think represents overcoming adversity; write two paragraphs about why you think this song represents the theme.
I choose this song, because it shows how she stands up after all the many times she fell before. Even though she has had things stopping her before, she chose to ignore them and prove her strength. She forgot about her weaknesses and focused on what kept her strong. She mentions, “Go on and try to tear me tear me down, I will be rising from the ground, like a skyscraper.” Now that she has overcome d all of her problems, she is now standing high, and she has compared herself to a skyscraper.
This relates to the theme, because it shows that to overcome anything there will have to be downs and ups. And no matter what, there is a solution to everything, no matter how tough the situation you are in.

In what ways do you think social networking helps you better connect with the world around you? Give at least three specific examples.
Social networking helps us better connect with the world around us by showing us how our country and other countries may have things in common. Social media can also help us share about our own culture and tradition, this way, people around us can know more about us, and about our past. For example on Instagram, we can post pictures of our traditional food and with the recipe too, this way people around us can know about us more, and vice versa. In twitter, we can share what is happening in our world. Like for example the Flag day, or national day. And same thing for other countries, they can tweet about whatever celebration they are having.

Read chapter 127 (pages 79-83) to yourself. Then write down what happened when Christopher fought with his father in the book. Why did he respond the way he did? How did his father respond after their fight? What do these things tell us about the relationship that Christopher has with his father?
What happened was that Father warned Christopher so many times not to go around and ask questions about wellington to anyone. But Christopher didn’t go with what his father had told him, and continued what was he doing. While he was going around and doing this “Adventure,” He was writing about it in his book where he was trying to find the one who killed wellington. His father came home from work one day and found the book Christopher was writing in. Father then yelled at Christopher and due to him having anger issues, he kind of hit him, which made them both have some sort of physical fight. Christopher hit his father because he didn’t like it when someone would touch him the way his dad did. And for Father to show Christopher how sorry he was, he took him to the Zoo and gave Christopher his Favorite foo. This shows how much Father cares for, and loves Christopher. And that the Father-son relationship they have is strong.

Pick and scene from the novel then add music to it. Write a paragraph about how that song would work well with this particular scene from the book.
I choose “Here with me,” by Susie Suh x Robot Koch, and the scene when Christopher found the letters, because this song is showing that his mother was always there with him, and this song shows both happy and sad. Happy, because his mom isn’t dead. Sad because this is the truth that his Father was lying about the entire time. And not that his Father came and told him, but he found it out himself.

How has your opinion of social media changed from doing this project? Some people look at social media negatively – how would you argue with them that it can be useful and educating?
My opinion about social media as in the use of education changed throughout this project because I never thought that social media can be used education wise and that it can actually benefit us in this way. People who think that Social media is a place where negativity is spread should know that this is one way where Social Media is used in a positive way. And in English Class, we are basing our standards using Social Media. Social Media is also a way to spread information like Wikipedia. People write down their information and people link them with what they know. This is both positive and educational. And also, everything has its positive and its negative, so, I think that even though Social media has its negatives, there will always be the positives.

Do you like Christopher? What about his father? And his mother? Are they good people? Do you sympathize them when they behave unskilfully, or blame them for their faults? Write two paragraphs.
I like Christopher, he is my favorite character in the book, because he is filled with adventure, and determination. He is always willing to do what he wants, no matter what comes in his way. For example, in the book, Christopher went looking for his mother, though the police had to come in his way, but he didn’t let them catch him, he was brave enough to handle this situation by his own and continue his journey with him full of determination. In my point of view, Christopher is a good person because he is always doing the best he can to understand and co-operate with the people around him. He also cares for his father, and understands him and forgives him whenever he would accidentally get his anger on him. I don’t blame Christopher for the mistakes he has done, because its always his Syndrome coming in his way, and he never chose to be born this way.
Father is a good guy to me too, because he really cares for Christopher, and does everything to make him happy and to keep him safe. I also like him, and think he’s a good guy, because he stayed for Christopher when his mom didn’t, and did everything to make sure he was okay. Even though sometimes he would get mad at him or upset, but that’s because he loves him. And even when he lied to Christopher about his mother’s death, that was because he loved him and he couldn’t just tell him that his mom left him. I don’t blame Father for lying to Christopher, because he only did this because he knew that it wouldn’t sound right if he told Christopher that his mom left him.
Mother, to me, is a bad person because she was the reason Christopher escaped his safe house, and she left him, and didn’t bother to cope with his Syndrome as much as Father did. The least she could have done is stay and show Christopher that she cared. But she chose to leave him and Father. I do blame her for what She did because this decision was between her hands and she chose to leave.

I agree with everything you said, because it is true, as you said “people with those disabilities are already insecure about what they have to go through, and people are adding humiliation.” This shows that portraying people as this side of entertainment is wrong. And I also agree with your second point “Though, portraying people as in inspiring others, and showing them that its okay to be disabled, then you are being useful and spreading positivity.” Because this way we are being useful and supportive to the people around us, and that makes the first point weaker than the second, because spreading positivity always wins. People should never be used as a side of entertainment as the first way you explained it, because this is unfair to those with disabilities due to them not choosing to be this way.
Portraying people with disabilities in entertainment media is unfair
This is 100 percent true. Making fun of people’s disability shouldn’t be considered as an “entertainment,” that’s one. Two, people with those disabilities are already insecure about what they have to go through, and people are adding humiliation. This is just making them feel worst. In any sort of entertainment, if it will hurt the person’s feelings in the end, then this is where the unfairness comes. Those people never chose to be like this, It is how they were born. Doing such thing like using people with disabilities as a side of entertainment is called being lifeless, and childish. A child will even understand better. Doing that, is also meaning you being rude to that person.
Though, portraying people as in inspiring others, and showing them that its okay to be disabled, then you are being useful and spreading positivity. Instead of just wasting time by being rude, you can show people that being disabled dosent mean anything. You can always achieve your goals, dosent matter in which situation you stand.

“Portraying people with disabilities in entertainment media is unfair.”
I chose to talk about this quote, and I have two main things to talk about. It really depends on the way you look at the quote, and I see it in two ways. First way being that using these people as a side of entertainment as in hurting that certain person’s feelings. This is definitely disagreed by myself because people in general should never be used as this side of entertainment because this causes them to feel bad about themselves, and them to feel worthless. Especially people who are suffering from certain disabilities. This only makes them feel worst. These people never chose to be born this way, so respecting them is definitely the right thing to do. Or the least, to support them and tell them that being disabled shouldn’t come in the way of their dreams and goals that they want to achieve in life. And this is the second way that I see this quote.
The second way is using these people as examples to motivate and inspire the people that are slowly giving up. We can show them that being disabled, or suffering from certain problems shouldn’t stop anything or anyone from following and chasing their dreams. For example, Christopher is suffering from Asperger Syndrome, and he didn’t let that come in his way at all. He did what he liked, and what he was interested in, like being a detective and writing a mystery book. He had trouble doing that because writing this book needs interaction with people, and this is something Christopher can’t do. But, he still did it in the end, and got what he wanted. In the end, I think it really depends on the way you see this quote, and if it means my first explanation, then I disagree, but if it’s the second, then I agree.

in what ways do you think social networking helps you better connect with the world around you? Give at least three specific examples.
1. social media brings us closer to the people who are far away from us and keeps us close to whats happening away from us.
2.social media helps us share hope and encourage people to follow their dreams and also share ideas that might help our world to be a better place.
3.Social media makes it easier for companies to advertise their company and  it also gives attention to people to show off their efforts and what they are capable to do.

Christopher’s relationship with his parents.
Christopher’s relationship with his mother:
we don't really know the relationship between Christopher and his mother but as we read through the book we understand and learn more about his mother. Christopher’s mother died from a heart attack but before she passed away she had an affair with Mr.Shears.Christopher doesn't really talk about his mother but when she was alive she used to take Christopher to the beach with her so i think they had a great relationship.
Christopher’s relationship with his father:
Christopher’s relationship with his dad is neutral , he shouts at Christopher a lot because Christopher doesn't listen to his dad he does what he wants to do. Christopher is starting to find out things his father never told him about.

Aspergers syndrome
1.People with Asperger's syndrome have normal to above-average intelligence.
2.people with Aspergers syndrome have a difficulty to communicate with people they prefer being alone
3.inability to understand social/emotional issues or nonliteral phrases
4.awkward movements and/or mannerisms
with these facts of how people act if they had Aspergers syndrome we can understand Christopher  more like when he left from the ladies house when she offered him biscuit or the reason why he doesn't like to communicate with people. Christopher also doesn't understand emotional situations he doesn't understand when he's father is upset or mad he just learns actions and these reasons prove why Christopher acts this way.

Adversity is a difficult situation for a person but overcoming adversity is the cure of this situation because you should never give up on your dreams and on what you wanna do.Everything is is possible it depends on how much effort you put into something.I think this picture describes overcoming adversity because as bad as nick vujicic is suffering with no hands or leg and how the lady next to him is also suffering without her arm they still try to do what they always wanted to do and they did what so many people told them they can't do.
