Kiss The Girl

Kataang songfic. Takes place during Book 3 after the Ember Island Players episode.

There you see her

Sitting there across the way

She don't got a lot to say

But there's something about her

Aang and Katara were the last ones around the campfire, everyone else had retired to their tents. Katara played with her hair as she stared at the campfire. Usually the two would be talking, but she seemed to not have a lot to say that night.

Aang thought it was because he kissed her at the play, "Katara... are you okay?" He asked

Katara nodded, "I'm fine Aang... why do you ask?"

"Well... you're just not talking to me like you usually do and I was just wondering.... is it because I kissed you?"

Katara blushed and shook her head. It went quiet again. Even though she had sort of rejected him at the play... he still wanted to kiss her again.

Yes, you want her

Possible she want you too

There is one way to ask her

It don't take a word

Aang stared at Katara. The light from the fire had illuminated her face. She looked almost golden under the yellow and orange light. Aang could see the reflection of the fire dancing in her blue eyes.

She looked so beautiful he wanted to kiss her so bad. He thought of asking her, it was possible she wanted him to kiss her... but he couldn't work up the courage.

Sha la la la la la

Katara could feel eyes on her and looked up. She locked eyes with Aang and he looked away blushing. She thought about the three times he had kissed her all night. The first time was in the Cave of Two Lovers, the second time was before the invasion of the Fire Nation, the third time was earlier that night.

She had been thinking about her feelings for him since the prediction she got from Madam Wu, when she realized Aang was a powerful bender.

So many things had happened since then, it was all so confusing for her... but she wanted him to kiss her again. She knew that now.

But he seemed too shy to now...

"Aang... do you... want to go for a walk?"

Now's your moment

The two walked along beside the ocean. Thankfully, it was dark so no one was at the beach right now. Though it was still silent between them.

Aang glanced at Katara. They were alone right now. He could kiss her. This was his chance. But he was too nervous to.

Katara debated whether she should say something. But she didn't. She figuered, if he wanted to kiss her again... he would.

Sha la la la la la

Don't be scared

"The moon and stars looks pretty." Aang said. They stopped to admire the night sky.

Aang glanced at Katara. She looked just as beautiful in the moonlight as she did in the firelight. It was the perfect mood to kiss her. But he was still scared to.

Katara looked at Aang. They locked eyes again, but she his looked down at her lips. He was no longer hiding the fact that he wanted to kiss her.

The song say, "kiss the girl"

They heard music playing from the nearby town. It had a sort of... romantic feel to it. Aang took that as a sign. If he kissed her she wouldn't reject him.... right?

Aang stepped closer to Katara, and she didn't step back. She stayed where she stood.

Sha la la la la

Aang looked into Katara's eyes. He swore he could hear the music urging him to kiss her.

Katara stared at him. Was he going to do it? Was he going to kiss her?

Aang closed his eyes and Katara closed hers. He closed the space between them and pressed his lips against hers.

Katara wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his around her waist.

The two kissed for about a minute before parting for air. They looked at each other and smiled before going in for another kiss.

Aang wished they could stay like this forever, and so did Katara. But he had to defeat Ozai in a couple days...
