🎶 You can’t expect a demigod to beat a decapod… look it up! 🎶 Maui’s hook was hand sculpted with @sksprops HD-foam clay then covered in worbla. While the worbla was warm I carved in all the tiny details! Also. I am obsessed with my barnacle beard. LOOK AT IT. This was my first time applying and painting prosthetics. I think I did ok! After almost 4 months my medal and certificate finally came. So a little background in case you missed it… I competed in the #crownchampionshipsofcosplay at #c2e2 this past August. Every competitor expected categories. We filled out paperwork before the show and during stating nothing different. We all strut our stuff as we do on stage and DURING the show after we’ve all walked someone comes backstage in the rudest way possible to a ton of tired cosplayers wearing complicated pieces “we’ve pulled the winners aside so you can leave now”. We all just stand there. Shocked. We had no idea what just happened. Normally I don’t get bitter about losing but I was upset and I was not alone. We didn’t even get to celebrate with the winners. We were shunned away having to stand outside if we wanted to see the big winners which they didn’t bring onstage til after a break so a ton of people just left! I felt so bad for these people who had won in their hometown and traveled to compete in the finals just to be a second thought. Post show many people complained as they rightly should. This is the big leagues and it was like a small town con (no offense to those I love them) but this is a big contest. The best of the best compete for the title. A few of us get an email a few weeks later kind of stating we won our categories without saying we won our categories. We’re told we will get a shout out on social media and a medal and certificate. The post was a little late and still no mention of what we were actually being highlighted for. Fast forward to today and my medal and certificate finally came. I mean it’s cool but the medal doesn’t say anything so you’d still have no idea what I won or when. I hate that Tamatoa had to go out like this. I’m glad she got something but the recognition would’ve been really nice on stage. Sigh. I can only hope that things will improve for 2023. I know I’m not the only contestant who had these same feelings. All that work just to walk across once. Not even to stand on stage again with my category to cheer everyone on. I love that part. OH MY GOODNESS GUYS. I can't even begin to express in words how thankful I am for this. This week, I am Bungie's community focus! Take a read, I tried to be short and sweet, but if you know me... it was hard XD I love the MTG community, but the Destiny community and Bungie is where my heart really belongs. I relate to the characters and the game is just... a masterpiece (to me at least). It's very rare to find a game that really can tug on your heart strings like Destiny does for me. The first time I watched the cut scene with the Queen of the Reef in it, I was just speechless. Such a beautiful, powerful and dangerous character wrapped up all in one. And then later, when Lady Jolder has to sacrifice herself and the other Iron Lords to save everyone from the Siva, I wanted to burst into tears. So much emotion in so little time! Ok enough gush... Seriously. I love this community and I'll be the Queen forever. (Unless I'm Jolder...). <3

The Consulate is asking the public’s assistance in locating eight individuals believed to be renegade ringleaders. These criminals are extremely dangerous. Contact an Honorable enforcer if you have any information concerning these individuals.

PIA NALAAR, also known by the criminal alias “Renegade Prime,” is a middle-aged female human with dark hair. She is the known leader of the renegade movement, and she is wanted for multiple counts of arson and disturbing the peace. She may be in possession of unlicensed inventions and explosives.

CHANDRA NALAAR is an adult female human with red hair. She is the daughter of the renegade leader, Pia Nalaar. She is wanted for breaking and entering government property, aiding and abetting a known criminal, and multiple counts of arson. She is believed to be in possession of numerous incendiary devices.

OVIYA PASHIRI is an elderly female human with gray hair. She is wanted for breaking and entering government property, and she is believed to be in possession of multiple unlicensed and unregistered lifecraft inventions of her own making.

LILIANA VESS is an adult female human with black hair. She is wanted for destruction of public property and contempt for Consulate authorities.

Long post is long! So GP Denver was a blast. I’m having so much fun attending GPs and I plan on going to many many more. A huge shout out to Cascade Games for being so welcoming and making sure I’m comfortable and having a good time. And thank you @wizardsmagic for making such a fun and creative game. Chandra is one of the few characters I cosplay who I really love and feel connected with. She is such a badass and I plan on wearing this cosplay for many many more events!!

And yes. That Pia Nalaar cosplayer is indeed my actual mother! She made it all herself in a week! So mad props to her on her first cosplay and GP! I’ll see if I can drag her to Vegas next ;)
