@demonforni - It's the truth. We just don't have the heart to tell them it's no big deal their KwikTrip's have walk in beer freezers and Bud Grant could have taken Vince Lombardi in a fist fight any day of the week. We Minnesotans are nice like that.

Have you ever been offended by something someone's done where they put you in it?

Do you mean like a creative project or like they've committed some crime and roped me into the middle, Anonymous?

If you're referring to a story or an illustration, there's only been four times where I've been gob smacked by what they've shared. One artist depicted me with both my arms and legs amputated and my mouth sewn shut, another wrote about me being raped and killed by a specter, and last but not least, two different artists drew me getting raped by canines; one of them added me getting urinated and crapped on.

Fortunately, all the other projects artists have shared with me have been fantastic! I've always said as long as it doesn't involve rape, scat, or gore, I'm pretty laid back and hands off. No, the only thing I find offensive about everyone else's works is how much more talented they are compared to me. *lol* That's why I've started on my goal to pay it forward. There's way too many long overdue illustrations and stories I owe to people in return. It's shameful how long I've been taking to share the love.

But if you're referring to getting dragged into the middle of a disagreement I wasn't responsible for.... damn, I can't begin to count the number of times I've been unexpectedly pulled in the middle of something in the hopes of exploiting my "handicap". When two average people decide to throw down, there's a chance things can escalate and get ugly. But when you involve someone who perhaps very elderly or impaired (or in the extremely rare occasion their water has broke), the other party is more likely to approach it with civility. It's more of a challenge to yell at someone for sassing off if one of the people can't speak. "Why didn't you respond when the nurse behind the desk called out your name?", "Why didn't you cry out 'BINGO'?". "How come you completely missed the clarinet solo in the middle of 'Flight of the Bubblebees?' You ruined the whole arrangement!"
