So, guys, we've taken all your messages into consideration and we've been talking about this for the past few days, and we think that it's best for the both of us if we close down Airways. We really love this roleplay, it's our baby, but there's just way too much going on for us to be able to admin properly. Honestly, even if we did make changes and became appless or whatever, Jewels and I will just continue to become more and more busy as the semester goes on and we'd eventually have to close anyway, and we don't want to do that when we're even more attached. You guys are the best group we've ever had in the history of this roleplay, and I honestly love all of you and your characters. I wish it didn't have to be this way, but I think we just bit off more than we can chew at this point. Wowowowowow I can't believe we've gotten to this point where we're really, really saying goodbye to this roleplay. I believe this is the last roleplay I'll be admining because, like Kelly said, things in our lives are really going exceptionally well and we're busy. I've got my trip to Paris coming up and hopefully a Disney internship coming my way and another semester on the Dean's list, so unfortunately admining isn't an option right now. With that being said, you guys have been a RIDICULOUSLY great group from the start to finish. From face claim options to how eager you were to plot and give us feedback and just having the most beautiful personalities and we really do regret not having what it takes personally to uphold our admin obligations. I wish you guys nothing but better than the best and I hope that I'll run into you in whatever roleplays I choose to join with my free time in the future! Hi guys! Our Masquerade ball is meant to start in about an hour and a half and I'm super excited. Guys, please remember to send in an ask about what we discussed in this post. We don't want to step on anyone's toes or offend anyone if their opinion isn't counted for, but we will need to make a decision by tomorrow so we can move forward into the new week and fix things around the main that need to be fix. If we don't go the appless route, we have a couple of other ideas about what we can do, but we still would like to hear yours.

so on the dashboard will we just being using faceless gifs or just not use gifs at all? so the rpers will know whos who and whats what but the charas wont?

You'd be using gifs of your faceclaim, love. The person you're interacting with would just be using their imagination and pretending that your character has a mask on. Obviously, the roleplayers are going to know who's who since it'll be reblogged from your account with gifs of your faceclaim, but the characters themselves won't know who they're speaking to unless they're really close with the character. I hope that makes sense.

how do we do that "not taking off the mask" part when it's a dashboard event so they'll be able to know who were are.. or do we just pretend we don't know who they are?

Because although this is an Airways event, fictionally, there are going to be more than Airway members at this event. So imagine going to a party with your school and everyone had a mask. You might be able to distinguish between your best friends, but you might not be certain about the identity of other people. So you can talk to people and obviously every gif you use - if any - won't consist of your faceclaim wearing a mask; however, for the sake of a masquerade experience, imagine that your conversations are with the mask. This is a chance to have cool, romantic, angsty, or even insane plots drawing from the air of mystery between your characters. Go wild with your imagination! (Of course, be sure to notify us if you're going real wild with your event plot idea). Let me know if this didn't make sense to you or if you need further clarification on any facet of the event!

WE'RE NOT THROUGH WITH YOU YET, VENICE!

As you should already know, every week Airways throws a fabulous event for it's crew members; this week is no exception. SInce last week was all about introducing ourselves to one another and making a first impression, we wanted this week to be about showing your true selves to one another. Sort of taking off your masks, you could say....

THE GAME PLAN

Since Venice is The City of Masks, Airways decided to throw a fabulous masquerade ball for it's crew members. The ball will be held in the Aman Grande Ballroom, overlooking the beautiful Aman Grande canal. Each crew member is expected to dress in formal wear including a mask. The only catch is that the masks cannot come off throughout the entire portion of the night, and you can not reveal your true identity to anyone unless it is guessed. The event will start at 7 PM EST on January 25, and all members are encouraged to attend so we can all get to know each other for who we really are. 

DON’T FORGET…

This will be a dashboard event, which means once the event starts, all previous conversations on the dash must end. We recommend you save them to your drafts so you may continue your interactions afterwards. The interactions will be in a small gif para format (message us if you need an example), and everyone is expected to interact with everyone! We really want this to be an opportunity for you to develop your characters and to grow relationships with others. Please remember to tag all starters related to the event as awrp: event.

So, here's the deal, guys. Jeweliette and I are seriously overwhelmed with a lot of things right now, especially school, and we feel like we don't have enough time to be the good, dedicated admins that we should be. Now, we don't want to just close Airways down completely, because we love this RP and we love all of you, but we have to make a change in order for us to keep our sanity. We were considering readjusting Airways a little bit to make it an appless RP, with a simpler page, simpler graphics, a simpler location, etc, etc.While we think this would make it easier on us, we are aware of all the many cons that come with an appless roleplay. That being said, we wanted to ask your opinion - we won't do it if a majority of you are against it. We know you all worked hard on your apps and characters, and we won't get that same kind of effort put in if we become an appless, so, really, it's up to you all what we do. If you're completely against it being appless, tell us your honest opinion. Tell us what you think we could do to make it easier on ourselves without completely ruining the roleplay for everyone. If something doesn't change, we'll be forced to close Airways down and we really, really do not want to do that, so if you all could send us an ask telling us what you think, we'd really appreciate it.

So, we didn't want to do anything too intense for our first task, mostly because we know that you're still exploring your characters. However, we wanted to do something to help you with your character development, so we decided for the first task to be a moodboard of your character. It can be for your character in general, or a specific aspect of your character's life, such as different emotions that they commonly feel or a relationship they have with a specific person (an ex, a sibling, a friend, whatever). Of course, feel free to make multiple moodboards if you feel the need, but we only require one to be done by next Friday, January 30th.

Hello hello! I'm back from my birthday extravaganza last night and my class today in which I swear to you I met a guy who is the young Bradley Cooper, so cross your fingers for our potential relationship so I'll get to some things I personally need to do for Airways! I also wanted to say thanks to you guys for all the sweet bday messages that I'll be getting to! We've got the best and sweetest roleplayers which is the gold mine of members every admin hopes for.

I've been up for literally an hour and it's already been a stressful morning. Anyway, I've only got two classes today so I should mostly be around, but if I had to guess I'm sure Jewels will be turning up since it's her bdayy (everyone go spam her inbox on Beau). Hopefully, we'll get the task and maaaybe the event posted soon.
