Aisling crinkled her nose a little in thought. This woman didn't seem like a threat, she did say that she wasn't with the Sheriff or Gisborne which made her relax a little. "Aisling of Locksley" She replied to who she was though the redhead couldn't help but be a little surprised that she didn't know who she was. Everyone in these parts seemed to know the younger siblings to Robin Hood. "Well if you are exploring I'd certainly take care. The Sheriff's men wander these parts of the woods and he isn't a particularly nice man" She stated offering the smallest of smiles.
Blue hues fell back to the bow and arrow in her grip "not at all. My brother taught me when I was very young, father didn't approve of course but Robin was always protective" Still was. She pulled back the arrow again aiming to the target releasing it with not much thought at all; another bullseye. "But what are older brothers for?" That caused a genuine smile to form upon her features. She was the only person to stand between Vaisey and Locksley with Robin now outlawed, she was within their council, although her voice was barely heard much like Marian's.
Aisling pulled another arrow on the bow again, "You say you're the doctor, a woman doctor is a rather odd thing" although Aisling had a feeling that wasn't what she meant by her introduction. Yet it was a simple mistake to make.
@storyofwhoiam for 11 or 13?
A sense of freedom, that was what Aisling wanted. Of course the only place to get that was within a small meadow located not far from Locksley village. It was the place where Aisling practiced her archery skills without being seen, where her brother had taught her many of his skills when she was a child and out of her father's ears and eyeline. Aisling was a pretty woman, no older than twenty one, porcelain skin and auburn hair that was often unruly which she usually had tied up with ribbons.
Bow placed on the string, she pulled it back so the feather rest upon her cheek. Without much thought at all she let the arrow go, then quickly she placed another arrow upon the bow and struck again. The arrow pierced through the other, which had been on the bullseye, splitting the wood in half. It seemed that Aisling also had the skills that Robin had, after all, it was to be expected was it not? Her ears heard the sound of rustling and a voice.
She turned upon her heels, arrow aimed again as her brow arched, seeing someone who was certainly dressed in the most peculiar way. She lowered the arrow, they hardly seemed to be a threat. "Did you follow me? Who are you? Did the Sheriff send you?" Question after question. Of course the Sheriff of Nottingham was a figurehead that many disliked, a lackey for Prince John. "Or was it Gisborne? Because I have told him time and time again, I will not go to see the Sheriff" it was a trap for her brother, it always was.

It was one of the Sheriff's men, Aisling never missed a shot and she certainly wasn't going to miss it now. A wound to the shoulder although painful wasn't life threatening, so it was the perfect placement. The young man she heard call from beside the carriage, seemed genuine. Most would run by now, too cowardly and not caring of their ushers to and from Nottingham castle.
Aisling looked to Much who was beside her, he knew that look all too well. "Don't even-!" it was too late, Aisling was already out of the bushes, yet her arrow was pointed and drawn just in case he wasn't genuine, after all, the young woman had to be sure. "Your sister? Tell me, given the rather luxurious gifts for her, someone of importance?" She queried with a slight raise of her brow. "Aisling, I wouldn't bother, we can sell the things to give the money to Locksley " Much sighed. Where her brother was at this point? Dealing with getting food for the villagers.
"No, this one seems different." Aisling argued, yet her weapon was still poised, she didn't trust him yet. "What is it with you Locksley siblings and being bloody stubborn!" Much sighed in frustration yet the redhead kept her gaze to the man in question. "I can assure you, he won't die, just more annoying. You should know, I don't miss a shot. The bleeding will slow down eventually"
@aislingarrow // Alastair starter since I have Alastair brain rot —> first meeting
Tumblr media
Alastair was Relta’s half brother, only sharing a mother despite their shared coloring, and she was his ‘ward’. As of late, he’d worried about her going to Nottingham alone, and had decided to — with his newly found wealth, wealth made from honest work overseas — check up on her. He’d taken a carriage, carrying gifts for his sister, the princess and true heir to the throne.
Hearing his guard yelp, Alastair got out of the carriage on the side he didn’t hear a body thud to, groaning, the ground with an arrow sticking out of his shoulder. He glanced at his guard, sent by the sheriff of Nottingham in ‘good will’ — aka a bribe — and then went to free the horses so their assailant wouldn’t harm innocents.
“You have me. What do you wish for?” He yelled, going around and kneeling beside the guard, debating how to aid the man. “He needs medical attention, please reveal yourselves. I’m unarmed, my blades packed away. I mean no harm, and hope you are willing to help an innocent man.”
“All I have are gifts for my sister. Take them, sell them, just please aid this man,” he yelled again, putting pressure on the wound to suppress the bleeding, despite staining his expensive looking clothing with the blood.

"France? Although tempting, I couldn't leave my brother or Locksley" she still felt as if she had a duty to her home town, to the villagers that resided there. After all, they needed someone who could protect them from the inside and that certainly wasn't Robin anymore. At the agreement of the lake, her eyes seemed to light up. Oh how she loved riding, it was a sense of freedom that nothing could compare to.
She placed a kiss upon his lips, taking hold of Guy by the hand practically running out of the door like an excited child at Christmas. It didn't take long for the stable boys to tack their horses, she got onto her own horse (gifted from Guy as a wedding present) before riding out swiftly through the forecourt and the gates. The wind in her auburn curls as she galloped, feeling the stallion breathe as hooves hit rapidly against the dirt.
It didn't take long to get to the lake, just as she thought there wasn't anyone around. The sounds of birds in the trees, the light filing through the leaves and the sound of gentle water of the natural rockery of the lake up ahead made it simply idyllic. Aisling jumped off her horse, tying him to a nearby tree as he grazed on the grass. She was like a different woman out here, no worries, as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "Beautiful isn't it?" She questioned, her smile never failing. The sun was hot against her skin, it was humid and warm this particular afternoon as the July sun was in full force.
@joyfulmagic continued
Aisling leaned into his hand in an automatic response. Piercing eyes upon his own with a soft gaze and a smile to match. She meant every word, he was hers and she loved him dearly. Yes, they were husband and wife but most of the time it didn't mean anything. Aisling placed her hand on top of his, even as he nuzzled her neck affectionately she couldn't help but laugh a little.
"I know.. I know..." She whispered, "I love you, and I mean that" She commented. Although being the sister of Robin Hood was difficult these days with her older brother being an outlaw, and having to seem neutral on the stance between Prince John, it became ever more difficult. Right now Aisling was glad that she had stability with Guy, it allowed her to ground herself.

Aisling glanced to Kili giving a small smile, her hand clasping in his own. To hear from his lips to say that she was everything he wanted and more only caused her small smile to grow brighter. Of course she was aware that speaking up to the King of Erebor in such a manner wasn't entirely appropriate, Aisling honestly did not mind much. She wanted to get her point across and damned anyone who thought otherwise.
Piercing hues glanced back to Thorin, hearing the question directed at her she gave a singular nod. "Of course I am, I would not be with Kili, standing here in front of you if I didn't" blunt, yet to the point. She had already learned some Dwarvish, although it was entirely a work in progress yet at least she was trying.
Truth be told, Aisling was happy to learn of Kili's culture and how it differed from her own. It was an experience and if she could integrate into his family as easily as he had with her own kin, then Aisling would feel happier for it.
"I will do my best to learn your customs to the best of my ability." Aisling was stubborn and quite the perfectionist, so at least they would know that she would try and do it to the best of her ability and then some.
@blackarrcw Thorin
Aisling looked to the King of Erebor, unlike most who in this predicament would avert their eyes, Aisling kept bright blues upon the royal. Her posture was tall and confident, her hands resting in front of her as her fingers clasped lightly with her own. Bow upon her shoulder and arrows upon her back, at this point it was merely a habit to carry her weapons around. Auburn curls were loose upon her shoulders, cascading down her back like a flow of lava fresh from a volcano. Why was she in this predicament? Well .. she had slept with the youngest Prince out of wedlock.
"I do not regret my actions" Aisling stated her voice not wavering or wobbling under the pressure. Her brother stood beside her to the right, while Kili stood to the left. "Just like I told my brother, I love Kili, more than anything in this world. He is mine and I am his." She begun, noticing how Balin and Dwalin raised their brows, Fili the heir and eldest of the two brothers, couldn't help but have a small smirk. "You can reprimand us all that you like, but I will not stand here and tell you that I do not love him or what we did was foolish and not out of love, because I would be telling lies" Her character was strong, even now where she should be acting with perhaps more respect than she was.
"Did I know Kili was a Prince before I lay with him? Yes.. but I do not care for his title, I care for the kind soul that he is." She paused for a brief moment, her gaze going briefly to Kili then back to the King under the Mountain. "True love is something else entirely. It is when the rest of the world goes quiet. It is not eyes that meet, but souls that dance. Settle into each other. Make room for each other. Until there is nowhere else to hide" Aisling explained further, feeling the smallest of smiles, form across rose coloured lips. "And that is how I feel with Kili"

Aisling raised her brows at the comment. He'd take her to court? The royal court? She used to dream as that as a child, although Aisling had never expected it to truly come true. Though she knew that Guy was right, "yes, you are probably right.. safer for everyone, no matter how the odds work" She missed Robin, the days they would mess around on a summers day before he went to the Holy Lands, before Vaisey had cast an eye on them.
Aisling gave a small sigh, leaning herself into his chest so her arms wrapped around him. "England doesn't feel safe, and everyday I question Vaisey and his motives, I feel like I am being watched like a hawk!" Which the redhead knew that she probably was. "Can we just stay here, in this room, just us for a while longer?.. forget about the fate of England and my brother?" Their quarters were quiet, even at the busiest time of the day in Nottingham castle, she barely heard the servants going up and down, or the noise of the square out front. "Or a horse ride? Just us two to the lake? It is peaceful there"

Aisling couldn't help but laugh at the mocked cries from the others. They truly were entertaining to say the least. "Who taught ye to shoot lass?" Dwalin then asked, a find smile formed across her features. "My brother. I was five when I started, he was ten. I needed a hobby that wasn't embroidery, I looked up to him. I still do but when you are that age you are more impressionable I suppose. He taught me everything I know" She admitted giving a small shrug of her shoulders. Aisling admired Robin greatly, they bickered and fought as siblings do but she knew that he would do anything to protect his sister.
Aisling glanced at Kili, her smile merely brightening just as it always did when she looked at him. It was a look of fondness, a look of love that was condensed into one single expression. "That is one thing Kili and I have in common" Aisling stated, "Two annoying older brothers?" Dwalin questioned with a laugh, which made Aisling chuckle slightly. "Mm, maybe.. but we are both skilled archers" She mused giving him a small playful nudge.
"As for the wedding invitations, I reckon you would fit in with the Merry Men" she meant the outlaws of course, friends of hers and her brother's. Truth be told the company did remind her of them, in their own ways. Sometimes with the bickering and others with their antics. She spoke half truthfully and half jokingly. Of course there wasn't any wedding, Kili had yet to ask that question but it was indeed fun to imagine and joke around for the time being. Aisling missed her brother, most days she prayed he was safe and out of the clutches of Vaisey and Prince John. Her smile faltered slightly at the thought, "you alright Lass?" Balin noticed, Aisling gave a small sigh and nod of her head, deciding in that moment to take hold of Kili's hand for reassurance and comfort.
Aisling couldn't help the bright smile across her features, as they complimented her even the leader of the company Thorin had spoken up. The fire continued to crackle and spit, the glow and warmth nice against her skin in comparison to the slight chill of the night air. "Aye, it was indeed" Balin replied. Dwalin who was sat beside Kili, gave him a small elbow and a grin. The night was still young, the blue velvet sky had only just drawn in with the twinkling stars above them.
"Tell us a bit more about yourself" they were intrigued it seemed, "Oh! I know! Tell us how you met our young Prince!" Bofur called out with a slight chuckle. Aisling rose her brows slightly, "He found me just outside Locksley, I had been ambushed by Nottingham knights, I did not trust him as an outsider and he met me with an arrow to his face" Aisling responded, smiling a little to herself upon their meeting, which only caused Bofur and Dwalin to laugh.
"Think I made an impression on him, that's for certain" a small smirk formed, her eyes going to the dancing flames. "I guess the rest is history" she took a sip of the water. Dwalin nudged Kili again "So it would seem! So, when is the wedding?" He joked lightly, almost making Aisling choke on her drink, the joke only made the company laugh harder. Truth be told if Kili were to propose to her, as much as his kin joked about it now, Aisling would say yes in a heartbeat. There would be no thought needed. Blue hues kept upon Kili giving him a bright grin "Kili has yet to ask me, isn't that right, dear?" she replied back, placing a kiss upon his cheek. Well, at least she could give the teasing back instead of getting offended.

She meant every word, Aisling didn't lie, not when it came to Kili. Bright blue eyes kept upon the young Prince, watching his expression turn from surprise, to questioning and then settle to fondness in all a matter of seconds. Aisling took hold of his hands within her own, her own expression softening. "I wouldn't deny you that no" She replied softly.
"Today, tomorrow.. they are all the same. My answer wouldn't change" Aisling loved Kili more than anything, he was hers and she was his. She had given her whole body to him, but now she would give her heart to him too. "Kili, I love you more than anything in this world. I gave my heart to you a long time ago.. so even if you were to ask me today, I would say yes" The sounds of birds tweeted in the background, as the gentle sound of running water from the lake nearby, the setting summer sun peering through the tall trees was warm against her skin.
anonymous asked: “ if you asked me to marry you tomorrow, i’d say yes. “ / @aislingarrow to Kili
The look of surprise that was upon the young prince's features was probably laughable at the moment. Deep brown hues searched the woman's features for any sort of joke, prank - any emotion that showed it wasn't meant to be. But when he found known Kili slowly moved to raise up, looking towards his One with a fond expression, "What if it were today?" Came the inquiry. His body turned slightly while facing her, "What if I asked you today? Would you deny me that?" He hoped not, in all honesty.
Aisling was his One. And there was so much to explore for them but he also hadn't wanted to drive the woman away from him, either. A bold move asking her if she would marry him today, but he couldn't help it.

It felt like forever, trapped and delirious beneath the fever. Her eyes began to open, everything was blurred for a few seconds before her vision started to come around. She went to sit upright but stopped at the sudden pain, wincing a little. Oh right, she forgot she'd been stabbed. Her head turned instead, seeing Guy sat beside her a gentle smile formed upon her features. He had stayed. Aisling reached over and gently touched his face, her hand soft and warm. "..Guy?" Aisling stated quietly, her voice slightly hoarse.
"You care about him, don't you?" She heard Robin question, who was currently situated by a nearby tree. His voice was low, arms crossed over his chest. Aisling removed her hand from her fiance's face "Yes Robin, I do" She admitted wanting to sit upright but found that she was just too weak to do so. Her older brother didn't say anything, just gave a small nod of his head. Her feelings toward Guy didn't matter to the outlaw, what mattered to him was how she had gotten stabbed.
"Who did this to you?" Robin asked, "Nottingham knights, a fight broke out in the courtyard. I ended up in the crossfire. Guy saved my life, you owe him that." The redhead commented and Robin knew that she was right. "Rest Aisling.. you will need your strength before you go back to Nottingham." That was Robin's way of saying she was right, by not really answering at all. "Make sure he looks after you, although I can see already that he does" The outlaw sighed, "I'll go and get more firewood" Aisling sighed a little, at least he hadn't punched Gisborne. She wasn't comfortable, although she was in the woods what did she expect? The Sheriff was going to pay for this, Aisling would make sure of it. Her hand reached over to find Guy's, fingers clasping hold of his own giving a small squeeze.
@marvelousandmysterious Guy
Aisling had escaped in the woods after the fight had broken out within Nottingham. It was quiet, not even Robin or his men were around as of yet, she had been one of the first to decide to vacate. Sword at her side, gripping tight to the hilt. Her archery kit also by her side but at close range she knew the blade was a better advantage. Aisling leaned against the tree trunk, it was a large tree which meant she was able to hide behind it given her smaller frame.
As she heard a twig snap close behind her, Aisling lifted the sword ready to strike her as blade found black leather and bare skin, missing by mere inches did she take an intake of breath. "What the fuck! Guy! I could have killed you!" She stated in annoyance, lowering the weapon. Piercing blue hues were wide like a rabbit in the headlights. Auburn curls falling upon her features. Yet she breathed heavily, it wasn't even but sharp and shallow.
Aisling brought the blade of the sword downward, hitting into soft earth she used it as a crutch as she fell to one knee. Her hand going to her side. Blood seeped between her fingers, something had clearly happened in the midst of battle before departing. "Guy.." Aisling muttered, she did not wish to appear weak and vulnerable, for what good would that do? At least in her own mind it meant weakness. "I can't.. I.. have to stand" there was that stubbornness again. That sheer will to live. Although she was a woman, purely meant to be nothing more than a wife, it seemed Aisling had the spirit of a warrior, of a fighter. With shaking legs she found her footing, leaning against the tree instead. "Well.. this is attractive, I am sure" sarcasm, a small smile forming across her features. "You know.. as I bleed out everywhere"
