3 Benefits of buying magazines in bulk
3 Benefits of buying magazines in bulk
When I hear of people buying magazines in bulk, I think of preppers doing the whole doomsday thing. But buying magazines in bulk is a common thing for gun enthusiasts to do! There are several reasons to buy magazines in bulk that you wouldn’t necessarily think of at first glance.
If you’re like me, there are few things better than finding a good deal.
Especially when it comes to magazines. For example, I get excited when I find one discounted magazine for $5 instead of the full price of $10. And if you’re buying in bulk (say 10 or more) then you can get them at even cheaper rates – sometimes 50% off! That’s why I would buy my magazines from an online retailer that offers these deals; they usually have free shipping too which is another great perk.
I realize not everyone has the same love for magazines as me and some people may prefer brick-and-mortar stores because they don’t want to pay shipping fees or wait a week or two depending on stock levels.
Get Lower Pricing
The benefit of buying magazines in bulk is that you’ll have the lower pricing. It is better for us because we can save money buying our magazines from an online store instead of buying them at the store. And the second benefit about buying magazines in bulk, you will not need to go to the store anymore. If you buy 10 or more magazines, you can get the low price. And lastly, it is better for us to buy magazines in bulk because we will have more time to enjoy them by buying them online and buying them at lower rates.
Have what you need when you need it
When you buy magazines in bulk, you’re not just getting a good deal – you’re also ensuring that you’ll have what you need when you need it. This is especially important if you shoot competitively or use your AR 15 for self-defense. It’s never a good idea to be caught without a magazine when you need it most, and buying them in bulk ensures that this won’t happen.
Plus, buying magazines in bulk usually means that you’ll get them at a discounted price, so there’s no reason not to do it!
Making Fewer Trips to the gun store
A third benefit of buying magazines in bulk is that you’ll make fewer trips to the store. It is a frugal strategy, then, to buy in bulk so that you may end up saving you thousands of dollars. And buying magazines online is one of the best ways to buy them.
When buying magazines from a brick-and-mortar store, you’d have to make a bunch of trips to the store, now buying magazines from an online retailer, you won’t need to make as many trips because buying them in bulk means you’ll save time and money.
In Conclusion
The benefits of buying magazines in bulk are that you’ll save money, make fewer trips to the store, and have more time to enjoy your trips to the gun range or when you really need and extra magazine on hand. When buying magazines from a brick-and-mortar store, you’d have to make a bunch of trips to the store; now buying magazines from an online retailer means we won’t need as many because buying them in bulk means we’ll save money and get what we want faster. We can buy our favorite magazines at discounted prices too which is another great perk!

Cobratec Partners up with Boker Again
Cobratec Partners up with Boker Again
Cobratec does it again and continues to roll out new automatic knives. Cobratec Knives occasionally teams up with Boker to collaborate and create a new automatic knives.
This time around, they have created the Boker Plus OTF Pen. The Böker Plus OTF Pen combines two different EDC tools, adding an automatic blade to a durable ball point pen. What’s not to love here? You get a ball point pen and pig sticker in one tool!
The latest project between the two brands in the genre is something quite different. Boker asked Cobratec Knives to give them a unique design they could sell in Germany and exclusive to only Boker.
Sorry folks you can only find this in Germany.
If you were asked to create a product based on the name “OTF Pen,” you’d probably come up with something similar to Böker’s. The pen is constructed of aluminum and features a chassis that mirrors other “tactical” pens in the Böker line; the narrow waist expands out again towards the pen tip, giving it a “flared” appearance.
Boker gives the following specifications for this OTF Pen:
Overall length: 19.00 cm or 7.48 inches
Blade length: 4.00 cm or 1.57 inches
Weight: 37.00 g or 1.31 ounces
Blade material: D2
Closure: OTF
Color: Black
Material: Aluminum
The pen itself, a ball point, is deployed by twisting the pen barrel.
The Böker Plus OTF Pen combines two different EDC tools, adding an automatic blade to a durable ball point pen.
Boker and Cobratec Side By Side
The unique feature of this pen is a OTF knife located at the other end. Users can deploy an automatic blade by pushing up on the pocket clip and pushing it in the other direction, which retracts the blade.
The blade is tiny drop point, measuring 1.57 inches long, making it a backup knife rather than an EDC item.
Sometimes with these novelty-style products, blade steel is neglected – but enthusiasts will be glad to hear Böker chose to make the OTF Pen’s blade from D2 semi stainless steel, so the little knife should hold an edge for quite a while.
Why would Cobratec and Boker partner up?
There are many reasons why two competing brands would team up. From joint ventures to pooling resources, these reasons can be numerous. Most of the time when brands team up it is to learn from each other and share suppliers.
When it comes to Cobratec and Boker partnering up, they both have one goal in mind: delivering high-quality products at an affordable price.
Cobratec Pen Knife
The Cobratec OTF Pen has a slimmer design than the Boker pen. It is made from CNC machined aluminum and features a locking mechanism, so you can carry it in your pocket without worrying about the blade deploying accidentally.
It features a pocket clip, so you can carry it out in the open, ready for use when needed. The OTF Pen comes in several finishes and includes a twist-off cap that conceals the blade when you hide it.
Cobratec gives the following specifications for this OTF Pen:
Style: OTF
Edge: Type Plain
Open Type: Out the Front
Blade Length: 1.75″
Blade Material: D2 Stainless Steel
Handle Description: Black Aluminum
Total Length: 5.63″
Buy Now
This OTF Pen combines the best features of both EDC tools by adding an automatic blade on one side and a ballpoint pen on the other. The beauty of this design is its versatility; you can use it as either a tactical or everyday carry item depending on your needs.

Leave your AK 47 in the car
Folks, you need to simmer down! You don’t need to go out to your car and grab your AK when you are told to wait 10 minutes for a damn pizza. Take a breath like normal people and calm the hell down. It’s a $10 pizza for Pete’s sake!
The Tennessee man pictured below wanted his pizza badly enough that he thought it was a great idea to get his AK 47 to hurry up the workers. Charles Doty Jr. of Knoxville made the news and is now accused of holding employees of a Little Caesars restaurant at gunpoint with an AK-47 after being told it would take 10 minutes to make his pizza.
A Tennessee man is accused of holding employees of a Little Caesars restaurant at gunpoint with an AK-47 after being told it would take 10 minutes to make his pizza. (Knox County Sheriff’s Office)
Around 9 p.m. on Friday, cops were called to the store. Witnesses said that after being informed about the delay, the suspect, became furious and demanded free breadsticks.
Doty was also captured on surveillance video, during which he threatened an employee who was attempting to leave after his shift and prevented him from doing so. The worker fled from the front of the facility to the backroom and called 911.
Police arrested Doty on four counts of aggravated assault and one count of especially aggravated kidnapping, according to reports.
According to findlaw.com, aggravated kidnapping is a Class A felony that may result in 15 to 60 years in prison and a $50,000 maximum fine in Tennessee.
Doty was taken into custody and jailed on a total bond of $90,000. That $10 pizza just cost him over 90k!
Your Mistakes are costly
When you are out committing crimes with your firearm you are giving more ammunition for the anti-gun folks to say that we don’t need our hunting rifles. How are you going to hold up a Little Caesars with your AK 47?
Is that the only gun that you have, or are you just really hungry?
So what’s going to happen now?
Now that you have done the dirty deed you’re going to spend some time in jail. Face criminal charges and face federal charges. Federal charges if convicted will put an end to your trips to the range. You can spend years in prison. You won’t be able to hunt or protect yourself, your family or, your property.
What is the lesson here?
I hope this serves as a lesson for all of you hungry guys who can’t wait 10 minutes. Little Caesars pizza isn’t worth the trouble.
If you want to keep your firearms you need to stay cool. Take a breath, call someone to pick up your pizza for you or just have it delivered.
Don’t try and bust down the door with an AK 47! That is just plain stupid.

Magpul Ugly Sweater – Hell Ya or Hell Na?
Magpul Ugly Sweater – Hell Ya or Hell Na?
I have long thought that Magpul should stay out of the clothing business and focus on what they do best. Making high-quality firearm accessories. That being said, I am not a huge fan of the Magpul Ugly sweater. But…who am I?
Back in 2018 Magpul decided to post on Facebook of a concept Christmas Sweater and the masses complained that they couldn’t buy it. Magpul promised to one day sell an ugly Christmas sweater and today its finally here. You can rejoice now.
At the Magpul core of this ugly sweater, you have a well-made 55% cotton, 45% acrylic sweater. You’ll also be able to tell who produced this garment since the Magpul logo screams at you and anyone who sees what you’re wearing.
Here are the specs on it:
55% Cotton, 45% Acrylic
Lightweight classic crew in a single layer jersey knit
Rib knit collar, cuffs, and hem
Branding is knit throughout
Available sizes are Small through 3XL
Bruce Willis Beware
Bruce, sorry but you won’t be able to wear this sweater without drawing attention to yourself. This will definitely be a conversation starter with the topic of discussion being, why in God’s name would you spend $60 on a ugly Christmas sweater?
This is an epic Ugly Christmas Sweater. This bright red and white Magpul themed sweater features guns and Christmas trees covering most of your torso, it’ll make sure everyone knows exactly how you feel about Christmas.
The Magpul Christmas sweater will make your friends envious and your enemies tremble in terror. This could be the ugliest Christmas sweater they have ever seen! Your friends might reject you or embrace you at the company Christmas party, but your enemies will take out their phones and see if they can get one too.
Is it a hit or miss?
This pullover is incredibly soft, lightweight, and guaranteed to keep you warm thanks to its cotton/acrylic mix and it might also be worth mentioning that you could just end up winning the contest for the ugliest Christmas sweater.
A bit pricey
The Magpul Ugly Sweater costs $60, which is a lot for this look. For the price, you’re receiving a sweater that is incredibly soft, lightweight, and guaranteed to keep you warm thanks to its cotton/acrylic mix.
However now you are probably asking yourself why in the world would anyone spend $60 on an ugly Christmas sweater?
My final thoughts
It’s been a while since I’ve seen something this special from Magpul, let alone an ugly Christmas sweater. And to be honest, for the price of $60 it might not seem worth it at first glance. But this is one of those things that you have to think about in terms of value and what other people will think when they see you wearing it – which could either make them envious or terrified! So if you’re after it and want one, don’t wait until next year — order now!
So what do you think? Is it worth spending $60 on a ugly Christmas sweater? Or should you just buy a thrift store sweater for $5 and save your money for other gifts?
Let me know your thoughts on the matter below.

It’s not your Kimber, its your cheap ammo
It’s not your Kimber, its your cheap ammo
You know your Kimber is a finely tuned precision instrument. You take it to the range and put rounds downrange with confidence knowing that you’re getting the best performance possible. What if I told you that shooting cheap ammo in your Kimber would affect its function and performance on the range?
That’s right, there are certain types of ammunition out there that can cause problems for guns like yours, not to mention they might also ruin them altogether!
Cheap ammo might be tempting because it’s usually cheaper than quality ammo but think about this: when you spend time and money finding the perfect rifle or handgun, do you want to jeopardize all your hard earned dollars by using something inferior?
Of course not! So invest in quality ammunition for optimum accuracy and maximum satisfaction at the range.
It’s not your Kimber, it’s your cheap ammunition!
Many new Kimber owners report problems with Kimber pistols and many times it’s not because of the gun at all. A lot of newbies to firearms will go out seeking cheap ammo and experience problems like failure-to-fire, stovepipes and other malfunctions that can be traced back to poor quality or incorrect ammunition rather than the actual weapon itself.
What Kimber recommends
Use good ammunition, according to Kimber. Choose from well-known companies like Federal, Winchester, or Remington since ammunition produced by them has shown to be more reliable .of consistent high quality. Their function testing is done with Federal 230 grain FMJ.
Use of Plus P ammo
You can use +P ammo in Kimber pistols manufactured to SAAMI specs. Kimber does not recommend prolonged use of +P ammo as it will accelerate the wear on the gun and may shorten the life of the recoil spring. You can use it at the range or for defensive use.
Use of reloads
Reloading or remanufacturing ammunition can be hazardous, and any problems that arise are not covered by Kimber’s warranty. I would not recommend use of reloaded or remanufactured ammunition.
How cheap ammo can affect accuracy and ruin your gun
Choosing low quality ammo can drastically affect your accuracy. You can be 100% sure that what is coming out of the barrel of your gun is supposed to go where you want it to, so why would you take a chance with something less than the best?
Low quality ammunition can also cause issues like failure-to-fire, failure-to-eject and more malfunctions than you can count. Here are some common problems with cheap ammo in rifles:
Lack of accuracy
These cheap rounds are often not consistent with each other in terms of manufacturing specs. The outcomes can be all over the place, even if the rifle is secured to a bench rest and nothing moves or shifts between shots.
Barrel Fouling
Cheap rounds often foul the barrel and chamber more quickly than higher quality rounds. You will have to clean your Kimber more often if you’re using low quality rounds.
Shortened barrel lifespan
The added wear and tear of regular use with cheap ammo can cause premature wear on your barrel, reducing its lifespan by many rounds over time. A shorter life for your barrel will mean needing to purchase an entirely new one at some point in the future, costing you more cash.
Cycling issues
The cartridge’s internal geometry can have an influence on feeding, particularly in semi- or full-autos, but occasionally in bolt action. Cheap rounds can cause jams due to their low power and powder charges. Duds are also more prevalent than normal.
If you want the best accuracy and reliability for your Kimber, invest in quality ammunition from a reputable company. Check with your gun dealer for advice on the best ammo to use and whether or not they have it in stock!
Final Thoughts
Kimber manufactures high-quality firearms, but there are many factors that can affect your experience at the range other than the gun itself. Choosing cheaper ammunition is a quick way to cause problems with your Kimber and will negatively impact its performance on the shooting range. You’ll never want to use cheap ammo again once you try quality rounds from a reputable company.
So, if you want to protect your investment and enjoy all that your Kimber has to offer, then do yourself a favor and invest in quality ammunition today. So don’t be cheap with your Kimber. After all you spent good money on it. Feed it the ammo it deserves with top quality ammo today!
What are your thoughts?

What are Safe Queen Guns?
What are Safe Queen Guns?
Attention all you safe queen guys or gals! Did you just buy another gun only to find out you didn’t like it as much as you thought you would? Is it another Safe Queen destined for that black hole you call a safe? We all know these folks and perhaps this might be you! Most shooters accumulate a few of these over the years for varying reasons.
But what if your gun doesn’t get used? What happens when a person buys a safe queen gun? The term refers to any firearm that’s been bought for its collector value or as a whim but not fired. Guns have been bought as collectors items or guns that were just purchased on a whim in order to impress others without being actually fired out of fear that it will be damaged somehow.
It may seem like these types of guns serve no purpose but here are some reasons why they are still very important. They are also considered great investments because over time it will only increase in value.
Another reason why they are important is that it’s better to own guns than not to own them at all, no matter how much they get used or not. If you do not use your guns for protection you can sell them and have some extra cash just in case you need it. What is even worse is a gun rusting away in your collection when they can be used to protect you or others.
Although guns are widely used only a small fraction of people have ever fired a gun in their lives, so many people do not understand the importance of having them around.
What is a Safe Queen?
The term “safe queen” translated basically as an item, typically something of use or value, that is kept locked away in a safe place so as not to cause devalue to said item.
A safe queen is an item that has been bought for the intention to use but ended up in a safe or worse in the back of a closet. Safe queens can include guns that were bought for their collector value or because it was just purchased on a whim to impress others without actually firing it out of fear that it will be damaged.
Safe queens are also considered great investments because over time they will only increase in value as some items might be hard to find.
Hard to find collections
Celebrities are gun collectors too. Some of them have a lot of guns that they have never fired or used for anything other than just to sit in their safe and look pretty.
There are a couple of examples of guns that might be destined to go in a safe place.
Brad Pitt
When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were still together, Jesse James, a notorious gun customizer and reality TV star, created a pair of awesome Cisco 1911 handguns for them. Both Cisco 1911s are Government model weapons. Jolie’s was chambered in 9mm while Pitt’s was in .45acp. I wonder what ultimately happened with those guns. Its hard to believe those two pistols went their separate ways in the divorce between the two Hollywood actors.
“BIG PAPA” is etched on Pitt’s pistol slide.
Brad Pitt’s Big Papa pistol. (Photo courtesy: Jesse James Firearms Unlimited)
Tom Selleck
Mostly known for his portrayal of Magnum P.I. in the 80s television series and more recently Blue Bloods. In fact, some of his guns can be found at the NRA museum in a modest exhibit.
Some of his guns on display are:
Shiloh Sharps #3 Rifle in .45-110 caliber that was featured in “Quigley Down Under” (1990)
A Henry rifle 44.40 Reproduction featured in “Last Stand at Sabre River” (1997)
.45 Smith and Wesson Schofield revolver in ‘Crossfire Trail” (2001)
Winchester 1876 .45-60 “Crossfire Trail” (2001)
1887 Winchester 12 ga shotgun from “Monte Walsh”
An Ivory gripped Colt SAA reproduction from “Monte Walsh”
Buying on a whim
Sometimes you need to resist buying a gun on a whim. The firearm you buy when in the mood
might end up in your safe. A gun that is bought on impulse or to impress others might lead up to a case of buyers remorse later on. I’m sure your house or safe has a few examples of bad buys.
For instance, when you are in the mood to buy one gun but end up buying two instead because it’s cheaper when you buy them together. Before you know it, your guns pile up in the safe and never get used.
Here is an interesting fact from a recent poll conducted for Creditcards.com.
Among men, 23% report “having an urge to buy something over $1000,” compared to 11% of women.
Our conclusion on Safe Queen guns
Guns are an integral part of American society. If you live in the United States, chances are you own at least one or two of them. Many people own more than one gun because it is their right to do so; they can protect themselves and their families with guns.
What are you thoughts on safe queens?

Rusty guns in a safe – Gun Gripe
Rusty guns in a safe – Gun Gripe
Like many hunters and shooters, we might have a gun safe. When you’re not using your gun, safes like these are made for specifically storing guns. They keep heirlooms or other valuables out of sight instead of keeping them in plain view for the taking if some idiot to break into your house.
Growing up in Texas my father would keep his guns in a closet by the bed. My mother wasn’t a fan of this, because of us kids. I was curious about why he’d do this, and his response (paraphrased) was that if someone were to break into our house in the middle of the night, at least then he would be able to access them quickly. It ended up badly though because a year or two after we moved someone broke into our house and made off with all his guns.
Fast forward a little
My father in law when he died not too long ago left my mother in law with a safe full of guns that were unused and neglected. In the safe were some old shotguns and some newer ones as well, a few Marlin rifles not to mention rust.
Also in the safe were used cartridges that I am sure he meant to reload at some point down the road. I’m sure he meant to get into reloading but never got around to it.
I guess I remember my dad with his guns in the closet and in my mind’s eye I was trying to figure out why someone would buy guns and just let them sit in a safe.
What rust means on anything
Rust on anything is an indication that you aren’t willing to put the work in and take care of something.
Rusty guns in a safe is a sign of laziness and apathy. It’s a sad sight to see rusty guns in a safe, because not only does it reflect poorly on the person who put them there or owned them, but it also says I’m not willing to take care of something of value.
Rust, especially on firearms is easily preventable with proper maintenance. The thing about rust though is it is semi-permanent unless you completely disassemble the gun down to all metal parts.
Best intentions aren’t always the best decisions
Someone has to say this and I guess I will. We all make bad decisions from time to time. We need to be aware of our decision making process when we purchase guns. When you buy something make sure you are addressing the following issues:
Do I need a new gun?
The buying decision process starts when someone realizes they need something. They might notice that there is a problem they want to solve or a gap in their life they want to fill.
At this point, people might not know what will fix their problem. They might not know what to do. Or they may have an idea about something that will help but are not sure which brand or service will provide the best option.
An example: “Joe Blow” wants to spend time with his kids hunting. He wants some rifles that are good tools to start hunting with.
Do your research
Doing your homework is the best way to avoid an unnecessary purchase.
If you are buying your first rifle or shotgun, I recommend checking gun forums and asking questions. Forums are great because people can help you. You may not even know what to ask though, and that is okay. Just let them know something like:
I am looking for a rifle (or shotgun) and I was wondering if you could give me some advice on what would be good or helpful?
Explore your options
Once you find the information, you can think about it. Then, you will know what is best for the problem.
At this point you need to decide what is the best solution for you. Look for any potential advantages or disadvantages to each product.
An example: In this phase, Joe Blow might be making a comparison list of multiple rifles. The list may include prices, features, and reviews.
Make a decision
At this point of the buying decision process, you are ready to pull the trigger and make a gun purchase. You have made your decision about which product, service, brand, or solution is best for needs, and you are ready to buy.
Check the Frequently Bought with section or Customers Also Bought below the item your buying. Many times retailers or online websites offer discounts that will blow you away.

It is now time to think about whether you made the right decision.
There is nothing worse than buyers remorse. You will never get that time in your life back or even worse your money not being returned.

My conclusion
Ok, so I’m finally done griping about Rusty guns in a safe, can I have some chocolate now?

Women Like OTF Knives Too
Women Like OTF Knives Too
In a world where women are more independent than ever before, it just makes sense that women should be comfortable with knives. In this day and age of a woman’s independence being supported by society as well as their thriving in self confidence levels – having the ability to use one is only going help empower you even further!
An OTF knife is a great way to get into the world of knives. OTFs are not for all women – but they are certainly not just for men either! OTF knives are very tactical in nature. There are OTF knives that look like traditional pocket knives and OTF knives with flashy colors that might appeal to you.
OTF knives that are great for women have a design that is sleek, lightweight and isn’t going to be in the way when in a purse or in a pocket. OTF knives also don’t need to be opened with two hands – meaning they can be handled easier by one hand which makes them very valuable in a self defense situation.
I’ll start by stating that while I personally feel that every person (not just women) should be able to defend themselves if necessary, the purpose of this blog is to emphasize how knives may be used by ladies as more than simply a weapon.
OTF knives are not scary tools
For many women the term “OTF knife” may sound frightening, but let me clarify. Most of our brains think self-defense when the words “woman” and “knife” are used together; while self-defense is an important reason I advocate that every woman carry a knife, it isn’t the only one.
OTF knives are great tools to have around the house. OTF knives can be used for opening boxes, cutting rope, even picking stubborn zippers on boots! OTF knives are practical tools that women should not be afraid of! OTF knives can be carried anywhere OTF knives are legal to carry – so they can even be carried in your purse! OTFs are not scary tools that women should fear, but practical OTF knives are great tools that women should cherish.
My wife carries one on her keychain. Its small in nature and she gets compliments all the time on how nice it is.
Self-defense with an OTF knife
OTF knives are far from just being a tool you carry around. OTF knives are a self-defense tool as well. OTF knives and other OTF and OTF style knives (like the Karambit) can be used very effectively in a self-defense situation!
Knives are also a great option for self-defense, especially for women who are apprehensive about carrying a gun. Sometimes carrying a gun might not be the best option such as jogging in a park. Carrying an OTF knife would be a great option instead of carrying a firearm in this case. The fact is that no one knows when an assault is going to occur, so if a lady is armed, she can defend herself if life throws her into a bad situation.
Training may also be very beneficial in the field of self defense. There are plenty of courses that can be taken around OTF knives that will help women be more comfortable with OTF knives.
An OTF Knife might save your life
There are plenty of great reasons why an OTF knife is a great idea and one might be that OTF knives might just save your life! OTF knives are a great alternative to pepper spray and most OTF knives are legal everywhere. OTF knives may not be the only tool you rely on for self-defense, but OTFs can certainly help if ever needed.
They are small enough to put in your purse or pocket. OTF knives can be quickly accessible when a gun isn’t. OTFs provide women with a great self-defense option without sticking out like a sore thumb!
OTF knives come in many colors and options
As OTFs are becoming more popular with women, OTF manufacturers are starting to take note of women’s preferences in OTFs. OTF manufacturers have started to make OTFs more colorful and even knives with pink handles!
Knives are available in a variety of forms, sizes, and styles, so discretion is an alternative! If you prefer to carry yours in a purse or use a pocket clip and stow it away in your trendy jeans the means to carry one are endless.
Our final verdict
Knives are, in the end, beneficial to women. You must replace the “Ahhh! Knives! They’re terrifying and only for men!” mentality. Start a conversation with someone who can shed some light on this or go to a gun show to see many options you might have. Knives are quite useful for a variety of reasons outside the kitchen, including every day usage, emergency situations, and self-defense.
So what are your thoughts?

On the side, the ultra fast, double action switch will add many hours of deployment to your OTF knife.
Why are Cobratec knives cheap?
Cobratec knives are cheap for a reason. They are cheap because they provide quality knives for a fraction of the more expensive knife brands on the market. We discuss cheap knives because we know you want your EDC to be as cheap as possible without sacrificing quality.
Just because a knife is cheap doesn’t mean that it won’t get the job done – and vice versa for expensive models, of course. If you’re looking for cheap OTF knives that won’t break the bank, Cobratec is definitely a brand to consider.
Are they cheap? Do we mean cheap as in low quality and unreliable? No! We just mean cheap as in affordable, as you might expect from this entry level OTF knife maker. In fact, many of their models are inexpensive OTF knives that are worth not just your time but the money you pay for them, too.
Don’t hesitate to give Cobratec knife a try! This brand offers cheap OTFs in many different styles and colors. Yes! The latest Cobratec models offer high-grade reliability and top performance among the best cheap OTF knives on the market today. So, if you’re looking for a cheaper knife and don’t want to cheapen your performance, the Cobratec OTF knife is exactly what you need.
Cobratec knives are cheap OTFs but you won’t believe how high quality they really are. All of their knives even come with a warranty, which is rare for such affordable OTF knives.
Final words

Building an AR 15 vs Buying One
Building an AR 15 vs Buying One
There are many reasons building an AR 15 is better than buying one. One of the main reasons is because building your rifle can be a lot more fun and rewarding than going to your local sporting goods store and purchasing one preassembled. It’s also a great way to show off your skills as a gunsmith or hobbyist.
A little context first as it relates to this article
I have a friend who shall remain nameless who is building an AR 15 and so far he loves it. About a year ago, he told me he was going to upgrade his Harley again. Now his motorcycle was completely stock when he bought it. Since then, he has completely customized his motorcycle and the modifications that were done to it are absolutely stunning. With all the upgrades and modifications done, his motorcycle is now worth more than when he bought it.
He told me he was going to finally break down and buy an AR 15. Knowing how he likes to upgrade a stock motorcycle I told him, building one would be so much more fun. The fact that he has never built an AR-15 before makes it even better because building your own rifle is a great way to learn the ins and outs of every single part inside the gun.
Should you build and AR 15
Well, building an AR 15 is a great way to get practice for building other rifles and guns as well. There are pros and cons to building an AR 15 and buying one. Building your own rifle is definitely more cost effective but building them takes time, patience and a whole lot of determination.
When considering building you should consider some factors such as the level of customization, shooting performance, the amount of time, and the time it takes to complete.
The lower receiver is the part of your rifle that is generally considered to be the firearm itself. In other words, it is the part that you need first and is controlled by the ATF.
Level of customization
Building a rifle offers more customizability than pre-assembled AR 15s. When constructing an AR 15, there are so many possibilities because to the fact that there are so many colors, barrel lengths, and kinds of grips available for purchase. Each part of an AR 15 can be upgraded or changed to suit your taste. Accessories such as different kinds of grips, sights and gun slings are widely available.
Shooting Performance
Building your own rifle allows you to have control over how much power, accuracy, and performance the gun has depending on what parts are being used. This factor is important because if a shooter builds their own firearm using different parts they would know exactly what the gun is capable of doing.
This factor makes building your own rifle more appealing to many people because they can get just about any accuracy and performance their heart desires out of the firearm depending on how extreme or basic they want it .
How long does building an AR 15 take?
That depends on your level of expertise, building an AR-15 can take anywhere from a few hours to several days depending on how much customizing you are doing.
There are also many sources of information on building your own rifle such as YouTube videos and forums that can help guide you along the process if necessary.
For building an AR 15, the time depends on what kind of customization and parts that you want in your gun. Another thing to consider when building an AR 15 is to think about how your going to carry it around. Check out a article on Magpul slings to consider on your next build or upgrade.
What’s your Budget
When considering building or purchasing an AR 15 you should consider how much money you want to invest in this project. Building an AR-15 can cost anywhere from $500 to $2000 depending on the parts that you use and how much customizing is done.
For beginner, $500 will get you a budget build that will perform decently. For building an AR 15, you could look into building a gun that is around $500 or less to get the barebones of what makes up your rifle. This kind of build would be perfect for those who are still learning and experimenting with building their own firearm.
For more experienced builders looking for accuracy and performance probably be enough to get the parts they need and building from there will depend on how much money is being spent.
Going out and buying an AR 15
When considering buying one online, a local store, or even a gun show. There are a few things to consider when choosing where you want to purchase your AR 15 from.
First, think about how much time and research you put into building the firearm because this will help determine what kind of service you can expect from that specific dealer or online store.
Second, if buying online it would be a good idea to research the website and find out if they have a great reputation when it comes to selling firearms. You should also research the company’s return policy because this will help you determine if buy your rifle with them is worth it.
Lastly, a gun show is a great idea too. You can find out what kind of deals are available when buying an AR 15. Gun shows offer you many choices in the same place at the same time!
Your level customization
Buying an AR 15 at a store, whether online or in a local store, you lose out on the customization that is available when building an AR 15. Remember, they are they are to sell you what they have in stock.
Stores generally do not have custom guns at their disposal, and while some gun shows have a lot of options to choose from the quality might not be up to par. The only way to know is for you to do your homework.
When building an AR 15 you get to choose the color, barrel length and even the height of your front sight post without having to settle for what they have in stock or not being able to find it at all! There is a lot more freedom when building an AR15 than just buying one off-the shelf from a store or gun show.
Performance of the AR 15
A quality rifle can be purchased from a reputable store. A trustworthy gun shop ensures the quality and performance of their items. Building your own AR 15 allows you to ensure its performance.
Time in the store
Buying an AR 15 from a gun store can also take time. Be prepared to spend at least an hour or more depending on background checks to go through. Gun shows are a good option too. You might have to wait in line, but you can get through it quicker than at a gun store.
Blowing the Budget
Buying a pre-built AR 15 can cost more. The beauty of buying one that is pre-built is that they might need a good cleaning and some lubrication and its ready to shoot right off the shelf or gun show table.
Another thing to consider is that name brand rifles like Ruger, Smith and Wesson, and Daniel Defense are going to come with a larger price. When building an AR 15 you can choose the brands that work best for your needs and purchase them accordingly.
In conclusion
Building an AR 15 can be rewarding and fun versus going out and purchasing one at your local sporting goods store. There are many online sources of information that will help guide you along the process if necessary.
Overall, building your own rifle has many benefits and there are various ways of doing so depending on what you want out of this project. It’s definitely worth considering building your very first or next custom AR 15.
