Chapter 5 is Up on Webnovel!
Chapter 5 is now up on Webnovel, and Chapter 6 will be published on Friday, 8/21. Stay tuned for more updates!
Also, Chapter 3 has been FIXED in both Webnovel AND Wattpad. Austin has dark brown hair, not sandy blonde. I realized when editing Chapter 5 that I had made that mistake in Alex’s internal monologue. Oops!

Webnovel Opportunity
Hey, all!
I had an editor from Webnovel message me on Wattpad about my story and it will soon be on two platforms. I hope to continue Love is a Rollercoaster on Wattpad, and there is a non-exclusive contract available, but eventually, Webnovel may be where my updated chapters go first, simply because Webnovel will give me a cut of the money they earn for my story, whereas Wattpad has not given me any similar opportunities.
Thank you all for your patience as I am a week behind schedule.
-A. J. Burnshot

Chapter 1 (Alex)
My grandmother is a strange person. She goes to funerals for entertainment. This funeral in particular is Tommy Manson’s. No one liked him, he was a school bully, and never left our small rural town of Centerville. He died in a car accident after leaving a bar in the net town over. His parents, girlfriend, and young son, Tommy Jr., were the only family he had, so a lot of police officers and those of us who went to school with Tommy came to comfort them. I wasn’t planning on being here, but Gran said it would be good for me to go because I had known him. Unfortunately, we showed up late, but no one seemed to notice.
“It’s a shame he died so young. And with a toddler at home too.”
“Gran, I’m pretty sure she was going to leave with the kid soon anyway. I heard from Zack that he was hitting her.” Zachary Holland is my best friend. Always has been. I notice that he’s across the room from us, standing with a few other police offices, including his partner, Sam.
“Speaking of Zachary,” my grandmother says quietly, “when are you going to go out with him.”
“Gran! We’re just friends! Don’t read into it just because he’s a guy,” I whisper back impatiently.
We pay our respects to tommy’s family, and I notice that his son looks a lot like he did back in elementary school. I just hope he grows up to be a better classmate, and a better man. I walk over to Zack and Sam to say hello, and Gran winks at me.
“They drove separate tonight, so I’ll go ahead and leave. You’ll have a way home.”
WHAT! No, no, no. First, how does she know. Second, I’m not going to mooch of Zack for a ride home. That’s redic – oh great. She’s gone.
