I just found out about why Christopher Eccleston has such a complicated relationship with the show and fandom and OH MY GOD?!? WHAT!!??

I totally respect him and his views! It just really saddens me that it made him step away from the fandom entirely for a bit. It seems like he’s trying to reconcile the love he has for The Fans and even The Doctor as a character with the reality of his experience with the workplace aspects.

I would love to see him in the franchise again! Even if it’s under very unique circumstances.

I would love to know what the fandom’s general consensus is on this!

I love The Doctor as a Legacy character from an acting perspective because each regeneration bleeds into one another so beautifully. Like I can see TONS of Nine in David Tennant’s performance as Ten. I can see A WHOLE LOT of Ten in Matt Smith’s Eleven.

AND JODIE WHITTAKER’S THIRTEEN? Is like a love letter to every previous New Who Doctor. I can see loads of Tennant and Capaldi influence in particular.

And Ncuti’s Fifteen is a celebration of the Diversity of The Doctor. The Doctor isn’t locked into one Skin color or Gender or Style of Presentation. The Doctor is simply a force of Good Natured Adventuring Spirit in a humanoid body. And I love that!

I have only seen bits and pieces of Christopher Eccleston’s Ninth Doctor but he seems like if he masks any harder he’s going to transform directly into David Tennant and start David Tennant-ing all over the place like a Star Exploding.

YES YES ALL OF THIS YES.

okay, so you know that theory that series 14 is a tv show, that's why there are so many fourth wall breaks, etc, etc. well, what if we had a weeping angels episode this season? it's the climax of the episode, ruby and the doctor are surrounded by angels when...nothing happens. they forcibly close their eyes just to check, but the angels aren't moving. the doctor does his signature rambling as he tries to figure out what happened, and then it dawns on him. he turns slowly, stares directly into the camera and says "oh. it's you. all of you. you're why they can't move." the doctor starts jumping around, shakes ruby for a bit (and ruby's just like wut the hell is going on), does a thing with the sonic screwdriver before starting to run when he suddenly stops and turns back. looking directly into the camera, he says "don't blink." and then he runs off to save the day.

couple minutes later, he tells ruby to stare at some angels that were out of frame by saying "babes, the camera angle's changed."

RUBY SUNDAY THEORY:

(This is JUST speculation please take this all with a huge grain of salt.)

Ruby Sunday Is Smurfette.

I believe Ruby Sunday was Born/Created BY THE PANTHEON.

Specifically I think they made her to be the Anti-Companion or maybe even the Ant-DOCTOR.

The Pantheon took traits from The Doctor and His companions to taunt him Subconsciously.

She was intentionally placed in the most time-loopy, coincidence ridden place in all of space and time and left there for The Doctor to find.

Maybe it’s because she was raised human with no knowledge of what she is, or maybe it’s because she’s just a good person, or maybe even because of The Doctor’s kindness, but she’s not evil like intended.

And in the end, she will turn against her creators and help The Doctor defeat them.
