What if Yona isn't the king.

What if the king, that the sword and shield will rise to protect, is Soo-Won?

In the latest chapter, (270) Soo-Won described using Hiryuu's body as the shield.

However, there is also the fact in last month's chapter, Hak was described as Yona's shield. Hiryuu's body could also still count as the "King" if we want to get technical about it. Case in point, the prophecy is still muddled. Theres still plently of room for interpretation and error from both the characters and readers. Unless there's more than one shield and sword, they're either meant to simply be parallels, or the real sword and shield have not been revealed yet. (We're at the point where I doubt Zeno will be either, despite him being presented as something of a shield as well.)

Additionally, the red dragon (assuming we're talking about Yona) is about to return as she shatters the bottom of the chalice. However, now seeing that the dragons in their fragments bodies are two separate beings (see Ouryuu and Zeno) I do believe there's still a good chance we're talking about the actual red dragon. Not Yona.

Potentially? But unlikely Hiryuu's return as well... I dont know how it would work with the whole "same soul different person" bit, but the general fact is that Hiryuu was the crimson dragon himself in human form. He's much, much closer to his true identity as dragon god than Yona has ever been.

This is probably at least somewhat incoherent, but I was cooking up some fresh, homemade, internal, likely never to see the light of day fic plots to fall asleep on and couldn't actually fall asleep.

Also the fact that Ouryuu actually released Soo-Won the moment that Zeno told him he's willing to live for eternity is keeping me awake. Yes, Soo-Won did tell him he would let him rip him to shreds, but that was after Zeno appealed to him with the offer.

Also I need Zeno to gain self preservation instincts and stop caring so much about his family's wellbeing and their ultimate freedom and quality of life for once what a jerk. (Before you attack me this is a JOKE but also A. Despite his errors Zeno deserves much, much better [I also doubt I'll survive if he doesn't get his happy Kaya centric ending] and B. CONSIDER selfish actually antagonist "gave in to his desperation and insanity and suicidal necessity" Zeno now isn't that an morbidly delicious concept.)

Still waiting on that Kaya/og dragon warrior cameo too tbh but only time will tell.

To sum it all up: Prophesy theories and chapter thoughts and Kusangi is a brilliant madwoman. Per ususal. On that note, Zeno's "miSteR kiNg gUy" bit never fails to take me out I love him.

Thinking about how the current akayona situation hurts so much more because Hak and Yona are fighting tooth and nail to not lose their family. The HHB helped Yona live and learn and taught her more than any other group of people what it meant to have family. The dragons are the catalyst for her and Hak's healing process, and Hak particularly (not especially) because of his struggle with his rage and bitter hurt towards Soo-Won, the single person he trusted more than anyone else, the person he considered a brother, the person he was ready to live and die for just as much as he is for Yona. The HHB taught him to trust again, not simply for Yona's sake, but for his own as well.

I could go into more detail about how this leads into Jae-Ha and Hak's bromance and his banter/rivalry with Kija and the way he cares and looks out for him, Shin-Ah and Zeno like they're his younger siblings, but that requires a solid sit down and I gotta go in like 10 minutes lol.
