          Part of him really did regret bringing up           conversation.  He   wasn’t   feeling   his           hottest  ( he   hasn’t   been   feeling  his           hottest for almost eight years )  and  he            knows for a fact he could’ve stuck to the            darkness.  Continued   his   streak  of…           not talking to his friends as much as he           really  should  be.  Eugene  was  pro  at            a  lot—   isolating  himself  was  one  of            those things.  It was never  on purpose,           it was just easier to do. 

          ❝Relocating.❞  It wasn’t a lie.  He was           moving  out of his  nest.  And… avoiding            telling his friends. 

          Delsin   slides  a  foot   back   slightly,   jagged           teeth    grinding    in    the    most    subtle    of           manners,   fingers   tensing   and   curling.    It           had  been so  long,  so  long,  since words  so           calmly  left his lips, that casual small talk  had           been   uttered   and,    god,   he   clung   to   it,           missing    it   so    dearly.    The   times    when           communication went dark made him nervous,           but  no, he  couldn't  say, this was  all he  had           and  there's  no  way   in  hell  he'd  let  it  slip. 

                         But the Akomish sits quiet a moment, jaw shifting,                          before  a slight  smile  pulled his lips with a  touch                          like                                                                 gossamer.
