remember the story of a man, who worked over 136 hours on a 13 cent/hour salary in modern day slavery, to then donate all $17.74 to help civilians in Gaza? his name is Hamza, and after he went viral, people online came together and gave back to him a total of $102,000 through donations. and while I'm so happy for him as he, a 56 year old man who has spent almost 40 years on prison, is getting support for when he's eventually liberated; I wish we'd all follow his wishes as well, (as per his own words) and we'd all keep the same energy for Palestinians, as it was his love for Palestinians that motivated such an act. I think he put it beautifully on his statement:

"From my heart I thank you all for your generosity and kindness in donating these funds to help and assist me upon my release from prison. However, I must ask each of you now to please, please, please look upon and consider the suffering children, mothers and fathers of Palestine, Yemen, and Africa living under inhuman conditions, being bombed every hour of the day, without water, shelter, medication and food who are ordinary people and citizens just like all of you living their lives having not a thing to do with the politicians, but are suffering inhumanely, please give to them. Remember them daily in your prayers and with the power of your vote send a message to them that all of God's servants are equal in creation, the lives of our brothers and sisters who are Palestinians are as precious and inviolable as the life of an Israeli."

if you donate one single us dollar to the unrwa, you will have donated more money than you would have by clicking that stupid arab.orb link every day for four and a half years. yes, they do actually donate money to the unrwa, but even with tens of thousands of clicks, most of that money is the baseline $90 they send every quarter. from 2023 quarter 4, half a million clicks turned into $380.57. maths out to six hundreths of one cent per click. just donate to unrwa.

Hi, are you feeling better today? What are your favorite blogs? What are your favorite songs? What are your favorite meals?

im okayish, i think it's just that this week has been comparatively MORE stagnant and unproductive than usual. but it'll be better hopefully later on.

but i also tried writing a stupid dating guide. and surprisingly an eulogy. i also tried making a crossword which i am actually going to try finishing because some of my tumblr friends might be interested. i finished a book and then another poetry book. and now im reading hamlet. i am also thinking of making some soundcloud mixes with some of my favourite soul music. and im going to watch ufc 299 tomorrow.

honestly all the people i follow on here are my favorite. i follow like 103 accounts out of which 80 of them are mutuals and honestly they bring in stuff to watch and admire for days. but right off the bat if i had to name any blogs from the remainder of those accounts: @docpile @destroysoil @archivings

i listen to a lot of songs. for the longest time serpentskirt [asian CD release featuring faye wong] by cocteau twins used to be my 'favorite' song. until i came across bo hardwood and john cassavetes' almost in love with you and rn that song is my favorite one. last night i fell asleep while listening to this one song i came across which i think is beautiful: the dark end of the street by james carr.

i do not exactly have one favorite meal but i have had this one very uncivilized combination of chinese steamed wontons and bok choy with sesame oil and chili oil and a can of coke and a cigarette on various occasions, with past lovers and close friends and alone during pondering times. it was also like an icebreaker at dates when dating was more prevalent for me. they aren't very special taste wise compared to a lot of other things but they hold some certain emotional value if one can say that.

thank you so much. a good quality honestly i could not sight a single thing about me that is good in it's entirety. i believe i am kind. i love being kind. i believe kindness can go a long way sometimes. but i am cruel too. so i wonder sometimes if there's anything absolutely good about me at all.

also i am not a big fan of candies i mean i have a sweet tooth, i love desserts but candies take so much patience and i think candies are very, overpowering sometimes. but ! turkish delight. idk if that's a candy but i would rob a man for some turkish delight.
