One thing I like about my mentor is his intense eye contact. Everytime he looks at me I get bricked up. I appreciate the eye contact since it shows to me that he is sincere in his words and genuinely means everything he says. It also commands a lot of respect. I have a lot of respect for him.
One thing I dislike about my mentor is his intense eye contact. Although I do enjoy it, his glaring eyes pierce into my inner being. It is like he sees everything about me: my darkest fears, my deepest secrets, and my most treasured thoughts. It is almost like he knows everything.
The homie Gabi still is in isolation. She is pretty sad since she can’t get out. Poor Gabi, I wish I could comfort her :(
The homie Steph took a physics midterm which went well. He then ate Rende with Dr. Pham. Steph is so smart.

Disclaimer: I am not an artist.
I think I first met Kayla at rush. She dogs on me because she says that we were talking and then I left to go talk to Joe since I saw him and he lives on my floor. I honestly never realized that I probably seemed pretty rude just leaving the conversation like that but when she brought it up I felt really bad. Also, near the beginning of the quarter, I said that she looked tired and she said that she remembered me saying that. I felt even worse. But honestly, getting to know Kayla has been such a blessing. I think we got to spend a lot of time together near the beginning of the quarter since we had overlapping Kerck shifts and we got to know each other better. I really enjoyed those times and I’m thankful that we were able to talk so much. She has been such a gift; even when she’s tired and going through tough times, she makes an effort to stay optimistic and stay bubbly. She is so inclusive and caring, and she is so sweet. She always says that she’s awkward but I don’t see it. She’s so sociable and it’s so comfortable talking to her or just vibing with her. In the beginning of the quarter when I was going through it, she reached out and helped to make sure I was okay. I really appreciated that gesture and she knows that I would do the same for her. We haven’t been able to hang out more recently, but I hope that she’s doing well and if she needs anything, I am more than willing to help her out.
The homie Gabi had an interview today! She also did a bunch of work and rested well in her room. I can’t wait to see Gabi after she gets out of isolation.
The homie Steph woke up late for his lab but rushed over to make it. He then ate Rende and played capture the flag. Steph is so cute.

5/11/22 - How have you progressed this quarter
I have progressed this quarter tremendously in terms of work ethic and time management skills. Before and at the beginning of this quarter, I was rather lazy and was big on procrastination in terms of getting my work done. I wouldn’t necessarily wait till the last minute to do my work, but I was never as on top of my work as I am this quarter because of all the things that I have to do. It feels as if I am always doing something this quarter, and this has made me much more productive.
The homie Steph went to physics class and had several interviews. He then ate dinner and chilled at fireside with some friends.
The homie Gabi did yoga then worked and had a dance class. She got stuck in their zip car for half an hour though :((

5/9/22 Daily Blog Post
Last night, a friend asked me what my biggest regret in life was.
16 years ago, on this date May 9, 2006, my grandmother lost the fight against cancer and passed away. Exactly one year ago on May 9, 2021, her husband, my grandfather, joined her in paradise. I was only 3 when my grandmother passed. Although I love and miss her dearly, I did not get to know her as much as I did my grandfather. My grandfather lived with me and my parents for over 5 years in the same house. Of course I shared meals with him. I talked to him. I bonded with him as many grandpa/grandson dynamics go. However, as I grew older, this began to stop. Even when it was clear that my grandfather’s life was coming to an end, I did not talk to him as often. This is my greatest regret. He was always there, but I never took the chance to be there for him, and I know this is entirely my fault. I wish I could talk to him one more time. See his smile one more time. Laugh with him one more time.
To be entirely honest, today has been one of the most emotionally tough days I’ve ever had in my life. I’m happy that my friends made it better. Today was filled with regret, sadness, and mourning. I really missed him today. The fact that I was such a neglectful grandson loomed over my head the entire day. I hope that I can at least make my grandparents proud.
The homie Gabi woke up and did yoga today. Then, she went and did a lot of her assignments. Good for her.
The homie Steph woke up at 2:30pm and had an interview for a position. He then also finished assignments. Good for him.

5/4/22 Daily Blog Post
The qualities that I like most about myself are the ones that I employ at every moment, up till the present. I would like to say that the qualities I like most about myself are things such as my loyalty to my friends and determination to endure obstacles in my way to achieve my goals. My loyalty to my friends is something that I pride myself on and an aspect that I judge others on. I expect loyalty in the relationships that I make, and I always got their backs. Another quality of mine would be my determination and self-belief. No matter what the task is, I will complete it. If it needs to be done, then I will do everything in my power to make it happen. I will complete the marathon and finish the race, and I will do anything that I want to do. I also like that I have a lot of self-confidence in myself. I always believe that I have the ability to do whatever I set my mind on. These qualities make me who I am today and are forged from my experiences.
The homie Steph sent a bunch of emails this morning and then went to physics lecture which happened to get canceled. Instead he got lunch. How productive of him.
The homie Gabi got up and went to do yoga which was online today. She then learned some tiktok dances.
