there's an attitude that we can't really talk about nonbinary people as a group because nonbinary is an umbrella term and it's too diverse. but personally i think this may be bullshit. "woman" and "man" are not homogeneous genders, i think most trans people on this website should be aware of the concept of different kinds of wo/manhoods. i know i do not relate to many other women & men to the point of feeling like our genders in that regard are quite different with only a few points of similarity. there's a ton of diversity in the gender identities of men as a group and women as a group. and yet we can still talk about those groups as groups. we understand that you can still talk about women & men, you just have to be considerate to not make sweeping statements when many women & men have very different gender experiences.

and now im thinking about sexuality and how people called the term for being attracted to nonbinary people fetishizing and transphobic because "nonbinary" is too broad a term. even though the same people have no problem with people being attracted to nonbinary gays or lesbians. and how wlw and mlm are huge tags & terms but nblnb is barely ever used and nblm/nblw are just mlm and wlw. and how transfem and transmasc are huge terms but i transneutral and transandrogynous are basically unheard of to many. and how people view any nonbinary person who doesn't identify themself with a binary as suspicious and manipulative. i think a lot of people like to think of themselves as pro-nonbinary when they do not think about us outside of a binary lens and framework.

Ginny’s nervous to approach Neville again, as he’s a year older than her. But he sits by her in the common room and he offers her help with her Herbology homework and suddenly classes are a little easier.

Neville listens to her crazy dreams about Tom Riddle and her ramblings about Harry. Ginny helps him find Trevor and reminds him of everything he’s lost and she’s the first one to realise he likes Luna.

And they’re the most unlikely but the very best of friends.
