The Advanced Player of the Tutorial Tower - Review
Time to start reviewing the stuff I read again. (We will see how long I'm going to do this until I'm tired of it or forget about it again). I've started reading that series back in 2022 - it was (as most webtoon series) recommended by a friend and I started reading it when I had a bit of time during night shift. I quickly read all available chapter that time, but more or less forgot about that series until the last chapter was out.
The first half was alright and despite a few things I wasn't fond of, I enjoyed reading it. But the title kind of lost me in the second half, and I got bored of it.
Things I liked:
The "I don't really care" attitude of the MC.
Some funny interactions between the MC and the others, especially because of his attitude.
Sometimes the series didn't take itself too serious.
Things I didn't like:
The main female characters and their Yandere-like personality annoyed me. For me, it felt like most of their characteristic was "I love you Master/Teacher!" and their constant bickering often felt unnecessary.
A way too overpowered MC, what often lead to predictable outcomes, especially in the first half.
Except of Sun Wukong, the Azure Dragon and Yaksha, every other side character was not really important, and I hardly felt attached to any of them.
Overall, it was an okay read - but it's nothing I would recommend or is a must-read. Rating: 6/10

Vinland Saga is so realistic and humane. Transforming the most vile murderer to become the kindest savior, a true character development.
Going through grief and trying to forgive himself for his past actions, while finding the meaning of life throughout his life journey, every manga arc makes me firm in belief that Thorfinn is easily one of the best written characters ever made.

I also want to learn a second foreign language (even if I'm bad at languages, lel) and an instrument, since I never learned one when I was a kid even if I always wanted to.

I've started to draw the characters for my stories myself, and once again I noticed that I'm one of these people that wants to be perfect in something immediately and wants to skip the whole process of getting better and practicing. It's a bit frustrating, but I hope I won't give up and continue trying.

let’s hope loid’s identity is revealed first because i just know the moment yor finds out he’s killed people, she’s gonna have no care in the world that he’s a spy, she’s just gonna blurt out an overly excited, “YOU’VE KILLED PEOPLE TOO?!?!?!”
“if you view me differently for- wait did you say too?”

Tokyo Revengers - my final thoughts
First of all: I'm not going to bash the writer for the end. In my opinion it's still his work and if he wanted to let it end like this, then - even if a lot of people aren't satisfied with it - it is right. No one has the right to bash someone for writing their own stuff the way they want it to write. My story with TR started almost three years ago. Since I was very active on Twitter that time, I saw a lot of people posting screens and talking about it, so I got curious. It were "only" 137 Chapter out that time, and I read them all in two days, totally absorbed in the story. And I loved every part of it. The time traveling aspect was well done, and what I liked the most: Even if he could jump back in time, if he fucked up that time too, it was over. People that died wouldn't come back. And I'm also kinda into these gang stories, so it was just perfect. Sure, sometimes I thought that Takemichi was annoying, but he had so many cool moments that it was okay. And yes, things weren't always logical, but the story was still great. It immediately became one of my current favorite reads, every week when the new chapter got out I've read it and I recommended TR to a lot of my friends, telling them how good it was. Well, until the last Arc. TR has the same problem a lot of Manga I've read had - it was longer than necessary. Don't get me wrong, it's okay if things are long, but there are just some Manga where I think it would have been better to end it a bit sooner. And TR was one of them. [Spoiler!] The moment Kisaki died could have been the end of the series. Takemichi went back to the future, marrying the girl that was the reason why he did all of that, and even if he couldn't have saved Mikey, I think it would have been fitting for the series that he can't save everyone in the end. I don't have a problem that he jumped back in time to safe Mikey too - that would have been okay for me and a Happy End isn't that bad, but the way how things went from then on was just... I don't know. I'm not really a fan of the whole "friendship solves everything" thing (but well, since it is part in lots of Anime/Manga I accept it) I understand the whole jumping back in time part, but why could Takemichi suddenly look into the future too, when he couldn't do it before? For me, before it wouldn't have been necessary to explain the whole time jumping thing, but during the end when he added more things to that skill, it just started not to make any sense, and it would have been nice, if it had been explained. Especially why he and Mikey could both jump back in time later? The last chapters also felt rushed and a bit too much like a forced happy ending. Everyone lived, no one died, everyone fulfilled their dreams... and even if it isn't a bad thing generally, it just felt a bit meaningless that you went through 278 Chapter of story where people died when in the end, everyone was alive again. (But I also have to admit: It's something personal, that I don't really like it in any Anime/Manga when dead people are alive again, because I think it's unnecessary letting them die in the first place if you don't plan to make it something absolute). In general the pacing in the last Arc was a bit off and maybe, if it hadn't felt so rushed, it would have been a bit better. Overall, I still like this series, even if the end wasn't to my liking. Everything before the last arc was still great, and this series had good characters I really liked.

I think I'm tired of the typical school setting in Anime tbh. Atm I enjoy more things that play outside of school or where the MCs are adults.
