Star violinist Nigel Kennedy played an engaging concert as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival for around 3,500 spectators in the Holstenhalle 1 in Neumünster. He was accompanied by the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. Alcons teamed up with Kennedy's sound engineer Andreas Adelhofer of Headroom Media Service GmbH for the sound experience. At the concert Adelhofer cooperated with Alcons for the first time. "I've been wanting to test an Alcons pro-ribbon system live for a long time and from time to time I'd been talking to Carsten Albrecht from Alcons Germany. With Nigel Kennedy, I was finally able to put this project into action", says the Tonmeister.   The PA system consisting of 36x Alcons LR18 compact midsize line-array, with LR7 micro line-array as additional front-fills, RR12 point-source array as center cluster and side-fill and BF302 (2x 15 " bass) in cardioid arrangement and was sourced from the Alcons Audio rental network The Ribbon Network.   The Alcons system has convinced him overall: "As I expected, the system has delivered excellent coherence. The acoustic image in the entire audience area was extremely homogeneous, especially in this acoustically very demanding environment of a transversely played hall with arched roof. If then also concertgoers pass the FoH during the break and praise the unobtrusive, defined and warm sound, I believe everything went excellent! Since it was founded 21 years ago, Cellosound has grown to become the premier audio production company in Guangzhou, the city at the heart of the most-populous metropolitan area in mainland China. With a spectacular outdoor live production and 6000m2 audience arena, the Mid-Autumn Festival Party of China Media Group is a difficult challenge for any sound reinforcementsystem. The festival featured a huge, 60m wide stage and large set, with an audience of 5000 seated in an arena 80m wide by 100m deep.   However, thanks to an Alcons Audio pro-ribbon LR28 larger-format line array system, the audience at the latest event in Qufu enjoyed high quality sound throughout.   “Thanks to the directivity, all-natural cylindrical wavefront and exceptional throw of Alcons Audio’s pro-ribbon technology, a strong breeze and high humidity did not affect the transmission of sound at all. The Schauspiel Hannover offers theater, entertainment and music in five different venues. Recently, the sound systems have been brought to the latest standard; “The audio demands of the various productions in the house can be described as very 'mature'." says sound engineer Markus Folberth.   The sound engineering department wanted a homogeneous coverage of the entire auditorium as well as good speech intelligibility. Since 2009, the city of Leipzig has been commemorating the miracle of the Peaceful Revolution every year on November 9, that started from the Saxon metropolis and made a significant contribution to the fall of the BerlinWall on November 9, 1989.
