Meanwhile in Sunset Valley...

Justine Keaton gives birth to her son, Max.

Jared Frio gets a dog named Barky.

Chauncey has to survey a completely empty beach yet again, but this time, a wild horse is here with her foal, so Chauncey spends most of her shift watching them.

After collecting and selling some things, Chauncey manages to scrape together enough money to buy a burglar alarm without bankrupting herself.

Another stray cat appears. I wish some dogs would visit too, so that Chauncey can possibly adopt one.

In the middle of the night, when Chauncey has to go to work in the morning, a burglar arrives, causing me to realise that this house doesn't have a burglar alarm.

Chauncey calls the police, but the burglar gets away with the stolen stove and washing machine.

The police officer arrives shortly after the burglar has already left and fines her 500 simoleons for "playing with her phone", which is a lot for a sim who doesn't even have 2000 in the bank. It's been a while since a sim of mine has been fined for this, so I forgot how high the fine was.

A stray cat decides to sleep on the table.

The next day, Chauncey goes to the summer festival and sees a toddler playing football:

She then gets her picture taken (unfortunately, Roxy can't have her picture taken):

She enters a hotdog eating contest against Gobias Koffi and Bessie Clavell (Dorie left shortly before the contest actually started). Bessie wins; all that football must have made her hungry.

The pet interactions in this game are quite lovely in my opinion.

Finally, Chauncey gets to survey something that isn't that empty beach.

Two sims, Iqbal Alvi and Blair Wainwright, need saving.

It's a full moon, so Chauncey transforms at the end of her shift. Everybody seems to be too busy swimming to notice.

Meanwhile in Sunset Valley...

Claire Ursine gives birth to her daughter, Juliet.

River McIrish dies, leading to the highly unusual situation of a mother inheriting from her daughter. (Both these things happen on the same day.) Other events: Erin Kennedy moves to a new house, Connor Frio moves out of the Frio house and into Jamie's house (he seems to be popular in this save, both Pauline Wan and Jamie Jolina have flirted with him), Holly Alto steals (and donates) quite a lot of money, causing Ethan Bunch to be interested in her.

On her day off, Chauncey visits the summer festival at the park. She sees Vita Alto, Tamara Donner, Darlene Bunch and Arlo Bunch having a hotdog eating contest.

Vita wins.

Afterwards, she gets the wish to win some festival tickets, so she challenges Tamara to a shootout, which ends in a tie after both of them score one goal against each other.

When she gets home, she's so uncomfortable from being tired and hungry (and the dish she forgot to clean up) that she transforms.

Chauncey's first task as a lifeguard is...

surveying this completely empty beach. After a busy day of doing nothing, Chauncey's toilet breaks at roughly 10 PM.

She then gets woken up in the middle of the night by someone who's been watching her work out.

As any sensible person would do, she accepts the opportunity.

A dog gnome teleports into her bedroom while she's sleeping.

I bought her a bicycle (I have a mod that makes the taxi cost money, so this will save a lot in the long run) and sent her to buy groceries. Afterwards, I had her search for a job. Her dream job wasn't available, but Sunset Valley's lifeguard service had an opening.

This is Chauncey, my attempt at making a tomboyish sim, and Roxy, a dog I downloaded from MTS. I'm playing in this version of Sunset Valley, but with (most of) franglishetchocolat's lot renovations (removed some of the community lots from the former because the latter turns some lots into EP community lots). I've moved my sim (and her dog) into their version of Shotgun Style, but I removed everything from the second bedroom to reduce the price. She's a werewolf, her traits are Athletic, Daredevil, Dog Person, Inappropriate and Loves the Outdoors, her favourites are blue, hot dogs and hip hop music and her LTW is Become a Superstar Athlete.

This save doesn't have any real rules, only a generally sim-led playstyle.
