I made very poor decisions yesterday; when I realized that I had just consumed 4 espresso shots and had every intention of downing 2 more I should have excused myself from work on safety concerns, instead of going in and working around automated conveyors, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment while seriously impaired. When I confided to my boss that I had consumed 6 espresso shots in the last hour he should have sent me home. 12 hours after I actually drank this my hands were still shaking and I woke up this morning with stabbing pains in my chest. So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Hey all, you know how internet searches suck now? When the results are awful, full-of-AI, death-of-the-internet levels of bad?

Start appending date constraints to your searches - "before:2023".

My results have gone from 90% AI bullshit to ~60% usable - which frankly at this point is a huge improvement.

Start a trend of platonic SidLink, MidLink, Zelink, etc fics. Just write the kind of hurt comfort you want to see more of. I'll help as a beta if you need it! Frankly, you aren't alone in not shipping a lot of these pairings, your idea sounds like something I'd read, and something I'd recommend.

I’ve been trying to write platonic hurt/comfort stuff with Link, but I absolutely HATE the themes surrounding him: “Light is good, dark is bad, obedience to divine authority is equivalent to goodness, no thinking allowed”… and I not only can’t figure out how to get around them and their implications without things getting depressing and hopeless… I can’t figure out who could provide the comfort end of things that would be believably platonic.

Almost every Zelda, Midna, Sidon, Mipha, Ravio… they’re so aggressively and universally shipped with Link that it feels WEIRD trying to make it not shipping.

I never liked Malon, Ilia, King Daphnes, or Linebeck…

I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together
