okay recap of the whole Jared and Alec issue. Alba feel free to correct me if I'm wrong at some point.
Basically the two of them had a common friend when they were younger. His name was Sacha and he knew Jared from school but joined the Lost boys around the same time Alec did. After a while Alec got kicked out and moved to the Soldiers, and Sacha grew too old for the Lost boys and joined the Killjoys.
In those years he had kept in contact with Jared and one day they were hanging out together he was killed by Jared's dad, who is (was?? IS???? IS HE DEAD? ALBA HELP ME OUT) a Government agent. That's when Jared left home and went to the gangs. He only found out Sacha had been a Killjoy after joining the same gang and he kept a secret how he had been killed for fear of being kicked out.
MOVE FORWARD A COUPLE OF YEARS MORE OR LESS IDEK I'M BAD WITH TIMELINES
Alec and Jared have met, Jared knows Sacha and him were friends but keeps his death a secret because Alec is a little shit tbh all my charas are douchebags and Jared thought he might shoot him ((and he probably would god bless his soul my deranged babe))
Neither Alec or the Killjoys had heard from Sacha in that time, he is dissappeared and assumed dead, but an information dealer digs out the file that says he had been killed by the Government. Since in the files the killer of Sacha is only stated as "Agent Rixon" Alec believes it was Jared and BOOM DRAMA. That's more or less what's going on in the para rn
there is a lot more about Jared and his father but that's Alba's job
and i have a ton of painful headcanons for Sacha someday I will make a list and cry

Alec didn't like fist fights. But when he had lived in the streets he had lern how to win them. His style wasn't good, he lacked technique, but he knew where to hit to cause the most pain and incapacitate his opponent. The face usually wasn't a good target; the jaw and cheekbones were hard enough to split your knuckles, and even if you hit the right spot and broke their nose, it wasn't enough to make them cave in. But Jared was going for the ribs, the little shit, and the first hit was well-aimed and strong enough to knock the wind out of him.
With a knee to the gut he put enough distance between the two of them to grab Jared and stop the flow of blows. "False hope" he spat out. "I'd rather have nothing." He wasn't even angry anymore, he was in survival mode, and that meant he had to win quickly, no matter how dirty the fight got. Alec slammed Jared against the wall behind him and directed a punch to his throat, just above the sternum.

/points at her crossbow/ That is not gonna be of much use if you go with me. Don't you ever use guns when hunting?
Mums the word. [she fetches her own bag and crossbow, her other weapons already on her person and then she is following him out the door.]

Don't tell anyone, I have a reputation to maintain. /throws a backpack onone shoulder and his rifle on the other/ Ready to go.
You’re a dork.
Ha. Nice. [she rolls her eyes and destroys his artwork, rubbing in the sunscreen quickly and efficiently before hopping up] Ready?

I guess so. Should I convince you to go claim your birthright and murder your uncle?
Psch, no more than usual. By the way, you have something on your face.
Wouldn’t that make your Rafiki? [she raises her arms to be lifted out and received by her animal subjects] I’m ready. [she holds the position for a beat and then drops her arms back down with a laugh] How ridiculous do I look right now?

Thanks. That's good to know.
Clearly. Nah, I can be the shaman. /traces more lines with sunscreen in her nose and chin then smears the rest on her forehead/ There you go, Simba.
I don’t….hate you. That’s not true at all.
Much cooler than Sage. [she grins up at him] Thought you were the great hunter of our tribe.

Watch that tone, I'm serious . Not my fault it went horribly. You came back nonetheless and now you hate me. Moral of the story, never try to help anyone against their will.
Too late /pours a bit on his hand and starts painting lines on her cheeks/ From now on you'll be called Arrow Faster Than Wind, the great hunter of our tribe.
How kind.
[she looks from his hands to him and then sits down, face heating up] You really don’t have to…

I know it didn't look like it but I was trying to help you.
It's for you, dummy. Don't think that you are getting away that easily. Now sit down.
Did not. It might slip my mind for a moment in times like this but never for long. [she chirped before handing over the sunscreen] I don’t think you need anymore…I was pretty thorough.

Great. Hand over the sunscreen.
Are you never gonna forget that? I already apologized.
Hu- yeah. Sure. Just uh…if you get the urge to lock me out again…please, don’t.

Oh-kay.
That's the plan, yeah. You wanna tag along?
Hush. You’re good.
[she drops her hand from his face after she is done and takes a step back] Hm. Cute. [she twists the cap onto the bottle of sun lotion] You going out now?

Please don't get it in my mouth I bet it tastes awful.
Long story short, a friend made it.
Exactly that.
Oh, for Christian’s sake I should rub it in…I don’t want him thinking you have a disease or something. [she moves to dab it] So did you get that necklace for yourself? Or is there a story behind it?

Because it's cute yet manly, yeah, I know.
Brilliant. Can you imagine anyone here trying to ask me about my moustache? Maybe Evan and a very confused Christian.
Oh. It suits you. [she gives the necklace a once over and then averts her eyes] I’ll get the unscented kind next time. Promise. [her laugh is quiet but bright] Yeah. Everyone would assume you have a milk mustache and try to tell you about it.

Fine, don't get pissy now. You seemed worried that I would spontaneously combust if I stepped out in the sun without sunscreen, and no one has shown any concern for my well-being in so long that I didn't have the heart to refuse. Complaining is just my thing, I can't stop it now.
/pulls down the neck of his shirt/ 'S only a necklace, see?
/tries not to flinch as she finishes applying the sunscreen/ Now you're just doing it on purpose. Hey, if I tan with this would I get a pale moustache?
[she gives up on trying to get a straight answer from him] Then go roll in dirt or something. I don’t know why you let me do it if you were just gonna complain the entire time. [Sage’s narrowed her eyes briefly at him offering a short hum of response. She dots just above the bow of his lips and smirks.] All done.

It smells weird, animals are gonna notice and I won't be able to catch anything so we will all starve to death. Because of you. And your sunscreen.
I am holding still! Around my neck? Dunno. A metaphorical noose from which I wish I was hanging because this is disgusting, probably.
Cause even if you don’t get burned there are still consequences of being out in the sun without sunscreen. Tch. Well, if you’d stop moving around I could finish sooner. [She’s careful as she applies it to his ears and then trails her fingers down to smooth over the back of his neck.] Hold still, Alec.

This is grosser than I had first thought. Why do I have to wear sunscreen anyway? I've been doing just fine until now.
Ew, you are getting it in my eyes!
Sunscreen is important. [Sage takes her time in applying it to the person, stopping every now and again to get more from the bottle]

“You saw him?” he asked, not to confirm the story, but on the opposite because he didn't understand a word. The files said Sacha had died over two years before, Jared couldn't had seen him just a few months ago. “Oh fuck” Alec's eyes widened when the pieces clicked in his mind. “Oh, agent Rixon wasn't you.” When he had first read agent Rixon had shot an outlaw related to the gangs during patrol and Jared had dissappeared shortly after, he had put two and two together. Only it wasn't quite as simple as he had imagined. Jared had never been an agent, but someone related to him was. A brother, his father or maybe someone else?
“I know” And just like that, he was angry again. It came and went, the scarlet feeling in the pit of his stomach. The sudden surge of energy made him jump from the couch, hands balled in fists, ready for a fight. His mouth tasted like copper and salt even though he hadn't bled. “At least you new he was dead” he said rising his voice without noticing. “You knew what you were going to find.” Seeing Jared there, sunk in the couch, defeated, made him snap. Alec grabbed him by the collar to force him to stand up, but halfway crashed a fist against his jaw, effectively making him fall back again.
Alec backed away from him, holding his hand against his chest. A couple knuckles were split and bleeding. He took a deep breath of the hot desert air. It didn't do much to calm him.
