the tiktok girlies that fail to recognize when their "new icks" are just because of homophobia and internalized misogyny at seeing men doing typically feminine things. a lot of people on that app were talking about that girl that said she was grossed out by men drinking starbucks frappuccinos but I didn't see anyone point out that it's because it's considered a more feminine drink? and I know that's the case and not because it's a "childish" drink because seeing a woman drink a frap didn't illicit the same ick. she was just repulsed at seeing men drinking sugary coffee beverage because thats "meant for girls". anyway every day I thank god I'm not straight so I don't have to play to their silly made up rules

A major problem of being a writer is falling in love with your side characters. You want to explore them, want to share every detail you created for them, show them off to your readers. The pain of not letting them outshine the main character is real.
