Huge congrats to @daniel_roher and the entire @navalnydoc team for winning the Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary at the 95th Awards show. I was fortunate enough to see this incredible doc at last year’s virtual Sundance and it was the front runner ever since. Also viewed it on the big screen multiple times and it plays like an espionage thriller more than a doc. If you haven’t seen Navalny yet, it’s on HBO Max and please check it out if nothing other than it will familiarize you with the story of Putin’s biggest rival, Alexi Navalny. Truth sometimes is stranger than fiction and what happens will blow your mind. Sending heartfelt congratulations to the film team as well as good thoughts to the centerpiece of their film who currently is languishing in a prison outside of Moscow. The OG Top Gun film is the major reason why I went into the Navy upon graduating high school. There is something about hugging a cow and the cow hugging you back with their head that really shows the emotional depth of these amazing, kind fellow air-breathers. Each one of these beings has experienced great trauma in their lives at the hands of humans before their rescue by @thegentlebarn and still, after healing emotionally and physically, they are able to show kindness to humans. We can learn much from cows and other beings if we are able to feel and listen. This is the best way to start a new week. Congrats to @troykotsur for his amazing work in what I hope will be the 2022 Best Picture Academy Award Winner. Hanging with one of my friends in picture one, eating an amazing stuffed Gardein Roast with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy, massaged kale salad with tomatoes and organic olive oil, green beans with sautéed baby bella mushrooms, and homemade cranberry sauce (which I ate first) in picture two. Again hanging with another one of my sweet friends in picture three. None of my friends ended up on my dinner plate and I am blissfully full today. May all beings be free from suffering. I am thankful today that more humans wake up each day and decide to try something new with what they eat and how they live and love. Cheers to everyone who is brave enough to break a cycle.
