April 7 Devlog
I am definitely killing the consistency here.
Anyhow, this is how Railrun looks right now:
Tumblr media
A simple parallax background, two sliders, one for the resources and one for the train speed, and a cylinder as the said train.
The game plan for this is simply these three points:
1. as long as the train is moving, you drain resources 2. if you stop the train, people go out to defend the train while zombies arrive and you replenish resources 3. once in a while if you stop, more people can get to the train, decreasing the resource drain
From what I see right now, my main problem's definitely going to be how to properly set up the resource drain, and the art assets.
I'm tempted to do a steam train, but then I don't have much of an idea how to do the animated wheels. I could animate by hand, of course, I do have Clip Studio Paint.
For now, however, it's not really much.
Have a recording of my Unity platform with me messing with the game as it is.
After this, I will take a few days' break, then continue development on April 12. Hope it works!

April 6 Devlog
I'm writing this blog to write about my attempts to make a game. The game is currently known as Railrun, and it would be about a train driver in a post-apocalyptic setting.
Right now, however, I've only managed to set what I'll use. So that's Unity 2021.3.22f1. It's funny that I'm starting to make this after the horrors I went through, but then I am close to being unable to do everything.
