Hard Header Part 2
This is a part 2, you can find part 1 here
TW: Talk of concussion
This is a short one
Tumblr media
Waking up the next day it all felt unreal, you couldn’t believe that Georgia felt the same way, it must have all been a dream. Or that was until you felt her warm body shift against you and you knew it was real.
You soaked up the moment, not wanting to let go and lose this comfort for now. But you knew you had to get up when you looked at the clock and saw that it was after 9 am. So you slowly wrangled out of the bed, trying not to wake Georgia up as you had to move her legs and arms away from you as you moved.
You slowly walked out of the room, careful to not step on any creaking floorboards, and walked down to the kitchen to make some breakfast. You turned on some music while cooking pancakes and cutting up some fruit.
You did not hear how Georgia walked down the stairs towards the kitchen, where she now stood in the doorway just looking at you.
As you looked up you were shocked to see her standing there watching you. “Good morning G, aren’t you supposed to be resting. You know you have a concussion right love?” you questioned her. “Good morning Y/n/n, I have rested enough and yes I am well aware that I am concussed” she answered you with a small smile on her face.
“Okay then, here I have made some breakfast for you” you said and placed the plate at the kitchen island, making a motion for her to sit down. You also made a plate for yourself and you sat down beside her.
The two of you ate in a comfortable silence. Once you had eaten you took the two plates and put them in the dishwasher.
“So about yesterday..” you began. Looking Georgia in her eyes. “Yeah, I mean it” she said, answering your unasked question. That made you smile. Without thinking you slowly leaned forward, looking at her lips.
“May I” she didn’t answer your question but instead she connected your lips. It felt amazing, her lips were so soft. Once you broke apart the two of you were smiling at each other.  “I love you” you whispered.

Note
this may be a strange request so no need to have to do it aha, but can you write a Georgia stanway x reader where Georgia does a header with England and scores but after heading it she gets really dizzy and faints and reader is very worried as Georgia is unconscious and has to be stretched off etc? you can add more detail as I’m not really sure but just something like that ? Sorry if it’s weird, you don’t have to do it, just a suggestion x

Hard Header
In which Georgia Stanway passes out from a header and reader gets to take her home to take care of her.
TW: Concussion, passing out.
Thank you for the request, its not weird and feel free to ask more.
Tumblr media
Georgia Stanway. Your best friend, the girl that was there for you through thick and thin, the one you grew up with, the girl that was there for you when you got your first lionesses call up. Georgia Stanway, the girl you loved. Was playing against the Netherlands with you. Both in the midfield.
A corner kick came and you watched as the ball flew towards Georgia and she jumped to get it. As her head connected with the ball your heart almost stopped as it flew towards the net the keeper dived for it but missed they missed and she had just scored a goal.
You all celebrated, but not Georgia. You were the first one to notice how she didn’t cheer or run around. She stood still looking at the ground, before she collapsed. By that time you were almost by her side as you had realised something was wrong the moment she didn’t move.
You began to shout for the medics as Georgia was laying still on the ground, not moving.
After a few minutes you heard her  groan and open her eyes. By then the medics had told you and Sarina that she would need to be subbed off and checked for concussion and other injuries.
As Georgia began to get stretched off she was still not quite conscious and you needed to be with her, she was your best friend after all. And Sarina understood, so she subbed both you and Georgia off and you followed her to the medical room.
After a few tests it was clear that she had a concussion and would need to rest for a  few  weeks to recover. She would also have to live with someone to monitor that she didn’t exhaust herself and make sure she didn’t lose consciousness again.
You immediately offered for her to live with you so you could take care of her. It was then decided that you could go home after the match was finished and that she would stay in bed for at least a day and a week without screens for her head to rest.
When Georgia finally became fully aware of her surroundings the two of you were in the car back to your house. She had been conscious before but not fully aware.
“Love, how are you  feeling?” you asked her, the terms of endearment quite normal for the two of you. “My head hurts” Georgia groaned and you softly smiled towards her. “Yeah I understand that, you got quite a concussion there” you said softly, not wanting to speak too loudly and cause her more pain. “Did I atleast score?” Of course she would ask that, it was more important than her health that they won.
“Yes you did love, we won the game” you replied smiling.
The rest of the car ride home was quiet. At your house you cooked her some food before you helped her in the bed.
“Stay with me, please” Georgia asked as you were about to leave her in the guest bedroom to rest. “Okay love, let me just get changed” you said and went to get some comfier clothes. You then came under the covers of the bed and let her cuddle up against you. As she was on the verge of sleeping she quietly murmured “I love you”  and your heart almost cracked with love.
“I love you too” you whispered back. This was something you had to talk about in the morning.

Lucy Bronze x Lioness!Reader
Head aches and a concerned Lucy
In which reader refuses to stay home even though Lucy isn't happy with it.
CW: Migraines? Passing out
Kind of based on this request.
Tumblr media
Migraines, a funny thing that was. One moment you could feel kind of fine and the next your head was filled with unbearable pain to the point where it felt as if  you would throw up and pass out. Those moments were the worst.
So when you woke up to the aching in your head and nausea you tried your best to get out of bed without waking Lucy. She had told you countless times that you should wake her, but no.
Slowly you made your way to the bathroom as it felt as if you were about to throw up. In there you passed out in front of the toilet.
When Lucy woke up she felt your side of the bed and it was cold and you were nowhere to be seen. “Y/n” she whispered, then repeated herself but louder as you didn’t answer. She got worried and began to look around the house, kitchen empty, living room empty, office empty. When she finally found you - you were still passed out in the bathroom.
Lucy carefully shook your body to wake you up. When your  eyes  began to flutter a pained groan left your throat as you regained consciousness the pain came hurling back and it felt as if someone was hitting the inside of your head with a hammer.
Lucy looked at you a little worried that you might have injured yourself or something. “What happened” she asked when it looked like you were present. “Migraines” you whispered, not wanting to talk too loudly because then the pain in your head would be amplified.
“Oh baby, you know that you can wake me up. Why didn’t you?” she seemed so concerned when she asked the question that you  almost felt guilty for not waking her. “Didn’t wanna be a bother” you mumbled, not proud of yourself for it.
“Okay, but next time please let me know. How about I call Sarina and tell her that we are sick, I don’t think that you can train today”. At that you quickly shook your head, you couldn’t afford to miss training because it was your first call up to the national team and you didn’t want to risk anything.
“No, I’m fine. I can train today” you answered, your voice as steady as you could make it. “Y/n” Lucy warned, she really didn’t like that you dismissed your pain so quickly. “I said I’m fine, now leave it. I will train today” you answered with a harsh tone.
Maybe training wasn’t the best choice today. You tried your best but with the other girls around and their loud volume they didn’t really help the pain in your head. And apparently Lucy had told Sarina too as she didn’t push you too hard and it was clear that she focused on you quite a lot during the day. But so was Lucy. She was always around and she tried her best to quiet the girls, it was not as successful as she wanted but it did help a little bit.
Alessia and Ella were two of the loudest in camp, they were always together and often brought you along. And you usually did stuff with them, but they didn’t seem to catch the memo when you tried to ignore them as they didn’t exactly take your pain away but almost made it worse with their loud voices and laughter. Luckily you were saved by the trainers calling the team out on the field for a scramble.
After a 7v7 game the pain in your head had  not passed and now on top of that you were exhausted. That unfortunately led to you passing out in the middle of the field, scaring your teammates who called the medics on quickly when you didn’t respond to them or move.
Lucy felt guilty, she knew the reason for you passing out being your migraines and exhaustion. She should have fought harder to keep you home and maybe then you wouldn’t be in this situation.
When the medics assured  everyone that you weren’t injured they brought you into the medical room where they waited for you to wake up. When you did, Lucy was by your side holding your hand. She looked so concerned.
“Maybe I should have stayed home” you said, catching her attention as she hadn’t noticed  that you had woken up. “You should have stayed home” she agreed.

Kiera Walsh x Lucy Bronze x Leah Williamson x Reader (Platonic)
Sickly
In which the reader gets sick but doesn't tell anyone, when Kiera, Leah and Lucy finds out they help them.
Warnings: Sickness
Words: 750+
You hated being sick, especially when you were about to play your debut for England in a few days. You knew that you probably wouldn’t be able to do so because it felt as if you were on fire and what little you ate for breakfast was on its way up again. It was not a pleasant feeling.
You had thought that your teammates hadn't noticed anything, but that was far from the truth. From the few days they had talked to you before you became sick you had been pretty outwards, with lots of energy and thrived in feeling seen and talking to your new teammates. But now you were nowhere to be seen, they had seen you at training but as soon as it was over you were quick to leave and you showered in your room instead of in the changing rooms.
This worried Lucy and Kiera, your teammates as Barca, they knew you as the person to never miss teambonding activities. Such as the one they were on now, without you it felt wrong. Quiet even.
So with a bit of convincing they had managed to get the key to your room from Leah, she had been assigned copies of all the keys if something were to happen someone had a spare key to their room. (Pretend she’s not injured)
Lucy knocked on the door to your room. “Hey Y/n, it’s me Lucy, Kiera and Leah are also here. We wanted to check in on you kid” you heard her voice through the door but decided to stay quiet because you knew that your voice was not  as it normally was, your voice was quite hoarse after coughing alot.
The knocking came again, this time a bit harsher. You couldn’t stop the gran that left your lips as the pounding in your head got worse with each of the knocks. The loud sound seemingly didn’t agree with your head.
At that the three girls outside your door looked at each other, worried that something was wrong with you. As you were quite young the three had taken you under their wing both at Barcelona and in the lionesses squad. Lucy and Kiera had known you  for quite a while as you were signed for Barcelona at the same time as them, Leah because she often took care of new and younger girls in the team.
“Y/n please open the door, or we will” this time it was Leah that spoke, even though you didn’t want them to come in you didn’t have the energy to get out of bed or even speak. Leah waited and listened to hear if you moved in your room. When she didn’t hear anything she took it as a sign to open the door.
In the room they found you lying curled up in bed, with both the covers and a blanket covering you. It was clear that you were still freezing. Your back was turned to them and you didn’t react when they entered, so Lucy walked towards you. When you felt the bed dip beside you - you slowly turned towards her.
The sight that greeted Lucy hurt her, you looked so miserable, your eyes drooped as if you had a hard time keeping them open, your cheeks were a deep and sickly red. Lucy laid down next to you, and opened her arms as an invitation for you to come closer to her. So you did, slowly you shuffled closer to the older woman, letting her wrap her arms around you.
While this was happening Leah had filled a bath, if you felt like you had the energy to take one and Kiera had rushed out of the room to inform Sarina that you weren’t feeling too well and that you would rest, and also get some light food so that you could get some energy.
Lucy laid there next to you, she  was having a little hard time doing so as you had forced her under the covers so that  you could use her body heat too, your skin was burning. It  was something that concerned Lucy. So when Kiera came back with the tray of food she sent her to get a thermometer.
Soon you were put in a slightly warm bath, not too hot, to try and get your body temperature down as you had quite a high fever.
After the bath you cuddled up with Leah, Kiera and Lucy, you were fast asleep and the older women made sure that you were well taken care of.

Hard times
Leah Williamson x Reader
Tumblr media
Leah Williamson x Reader
Warnings: Injury
Hard times
When Leah went down it felt as if your heart had stopped, you knew from the moment she clutched her knee and didn’t get up that she had probably suffered the same fate as her 2 other teammates Beth and Viv.
Even though she knew that it probably was her ACL that was not right, it was still devastating when it was confirmed, she would miss the World Cup, that was for sure. So you had made it your assignment to help her in all the ways you could.
The days when her knee was especially painful you helped her around and gave her the medicine. Those days when she felt down you tried to cheer her up. You did all the chores such as the laundry, cleaning the house and cooking food.
You really tried to be there for her, but  when her rehab started her mood didn’t get better, quite the opposite. She felt  as if she had failed  when everything hurt and she  didn’t move too much forward in each session. She envied her teammates when they played their matches. She of course still wished  them well, but Leah just wished it  was her that played.
In those moments you made sure to be there for her. Most of the time she was grateful to have you, but sometimes it was all just too much for her, all her own thoughts and the thought that she just held you up and  was in the way. No matter how many times you tried to reassure her it didn’t help, the thoughts about how she was not enough still came.
“Lee, you have to go. You know that it will help” you really tried to get her to go to the rehab session. “Why? It’s just a waste of time, I’m not moving forward, it just hurts more for each session” her response was what you expected but not the one you wanted.
Finally all the hard work paid off, the pride you felt when Leah ran out on the field for the first time after her injury. She looked so happy and like the weight of the injury finally lifted off her shoulders.
When the final whistle ran she was quick to get to you, lifting you up in a hug. “Thank you, thank you for not giving up on me” she whispered gently against  your  skin. You smiled “ you never have to thank me for helping you, I am your girlfriend after all”
