doesn't know who his biological family is, and has no interest in seeking them out. he doesn't bear any hatred towards them, only indifference and frustration for the situation they put him in so young.

doesn't remember very much from the orphanage, but he was the "runt of the litter" and suffered much bullying with little intervention. it got worse when he became a teenager and realised he wasn't quite comfortable in his body.

struggled controlling his finances once he grew out of the orphanage, was an impulse spender for a while until meeting girlfriend, then became tight with his money after everything happened

a somewhat adequate cook, nowhere near the skill of ayana but can manage something decent when he has the energy

after the abuse in the orphanage, he was terrified to even address the possibility of being queer, or even trans. the first person he broke down to was aldryx, given how he was already out, who then helped him pay towards his transition by performing gigs together with agoti and ayana — they were (and finally are) very tight-knit. his transition paused shortly before the mod, due to being unable to continue funding his hrt

has a plethora of mental issues yet to be tackled or explored, worsened by the incident with Girlfriend. he's hesitant to accept therapy because he can't afford it independently

Girlfriend was his spark to try to improve his life, someone who brought him genuine happiness after leaving the orphanage. he wrote songs with her in mind, she was almost his sole motivator. his key to happiness, tossed down the well.

after being cursed, Tabi ended up just stumbling down alleyways as far from his apartment as possible, until he collapsed, hypothermic and despaired, and refused to get back up, giving up right there. delirious, he doesn't remember who saved him that night, but he still keeps the blanket she wrapped him in and tries to perfect the recipe for the food she made for him. only after being miraculously rejected by death did he get back up with only revenge on his mind.

when he went to the restaurant, he'd planned to take Girlfriend down with him.

having been rescued by the Andromedas, Tabi was really jittery and on-edge for months after the incident, terrified of being caught by the authorities or, at worst, Dearest. he refused to go to the hospital, instead Solazar paid for a private doctor sworn to secrecy to attend his injuries.

covered in scars from both the restaurant fire and prior incidents. he tried extreme measures to see his physical body again.

the curse began to fade once Tabi accepted his situation and ceased pursuing revenge, beginning with patches of his body starting to reappear and the skull eventually splitting in two. if anything, it melded into his appearance with his ears, horns and hair colour.

incredibly touch averse. consider yourself very lucky if he doesn't shove your hand off his shoulder, the chosen one if he lets you hug him.

went from being severely underweight before the events of the mod to returning to a healthy, somewhat abundant weight while healing. he had some problematic eating habits such as hoarding, restricting and binging, but after returning to a somewhat stable home life he's slowly getting better.

when the others get into arguments or play-fights, he switches off his hearing aid to ignore them. if they try to get him involved, he just taps his bad ear and waves them off.

hugs himself when he's stressed to remind himself that his body is still there

as of now, he is staying with the Andromedas, who are helping to fund his transition and, when he's ready, therapy. he still binds, he refuses to let them pay for his surgery and is trying to scrape the funds together himself.

has an incredible sense of balance, literally like those wall climbing goats

(here's that gut-wrenching revelation i mentioned): Tabi went through a period of deep internalised hatred and envy of Ayana after being cursed. in his eyes, she had everything he was robbed of: a voice, a face, a strong music career, humanity. she was everything he wanted to be, everything he once was, and he couldn't help feeling like it was all stolen from him to give to her—they had swapped places. he hated himself for holding such resentment to someone who once looked up to him, only to now be watching from a fake podium with a pitiful fondness. he broke when she confronted him, and still needs to be assured when he feels guilty. the two are thick as thieves now /silly

forgets to shout "uno" when he has one card left

games like block blast will maintain his attention for HOURS.

has a very dry sense of humor, paired with a resting bitch face

watching Solazar adopt random cats has incentivised him to drag in random strays from the street. they're as bad as each other, the former is a terrible role model

somewhat antsy around open fire nowadays

finds himself trapped between Agoti and Aldryx's bickering a lot, the two are idiots and he refuses to be the peacemaker

Tabi pines for Ayana's cooking. he can't quite figure out why, but one specific recipe of hers always tastes so familiar.

DJ X/DJ Phantom HCs

DJ X

-He’s like 48

-This man is not a DJ, the only thing he listens to is classical rock music and anything else a divorced dad in his 40s listens to even know he’s not divorced.

-He’s a lead scientist at the place he works at, a geneticist to be more specific.

-The place he works at is a facility called “The Vinyl City Center for Scientific Research and Studies” and hosts all types of scientist and Engineers (Clover being one of them as she is a cyber engineer.)

-He’s kinda sad…looks to Phantom for comfort a lot. Which usually involves Phantom playing the cello or piano while Xavier just listens.

-Has a lot of medical issues due to the events that took place in game, so he has to book lots of appointments and has medical leave at work.

-I’m not entirely sure if I want Eve to like be there but I think she’s allowed to ascend back to Vinyl City as much as she likes, but she has to go back at the end. Doesn’t stop Xavier from tucking her in every night she visits.

-He’ll take her shopping for new clothes so she’ doesn’t have to wear the same outfit all the time. Buy her anything she wants but she never wants much.

-He’s a good cook and finds joy in cooking for others. Phantom especially.

DJ Phantom

-He’s incredibly old. 1000s of years. But looks forever in his early 30s.

-Phantom doesn’t care much for his gender, as he’s presented as both a man and a woman and everything in between throughout the years. You kinda stop caring about your gender after the first 100 years.

-He’ll call X old but say shit like “Oh? The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe? I remember when this first came out.”

-He’s a conductor. Mostly makes pieces for ballets and orchestras that have elaborate stories. He’s like pretty well known too.

-He does DJ occasionally but it’s mostly in goth clubs and plays goth music as it’s the one modern gene of music he can enjoy. It’s also like super rare for him to do.

-Phantom’s view of mortality is quite strange. Like he never has an intention to hurt anyone but he finds his goals (whatever those are) important. And he’ll do anything to reach them until he stops caring about them.

-He’s genuinely trying to be a better person. Therapy is something new to him and he’s trying to make connections with other people that aren’t just Xavier and Eve.

-Speaking of Eve, I think Phantom does actually try his best to connect with her. He’s his husband’s daughter, so that’s also his daughter. He’ll teach her to play any instrument she’d like, she choose the violin. He’ll read her old fairytales or all 3 of them will go out for ice cream or something.

-Sometimes they talk about the fact that they’re both immortal now and how X isn’t. Phantom changes the topic quickly because he doesn’t want to talk about that, let alone to a child.

Both of Them

-I think they probably met when X was in his late 30s. Got married a few years after they started their relationship and got married during the ultimate record project or whatever I decide to rename it.

-They didn’t have a wedding. Phantom doesn’t like weddings and X thinks it’d be a waste of time. But they did have a honeymoon. Not sure where though.

-X will sometimes mentions him being a mortal and asks what Phantom will do

-“I told you to not ask that. Let’s just enjoy our food.”

-Their dates aren’t extravagant. They’re a down to earth couple so they’ll go to cafes or the library or antiquing.

-Both do over work themselves but X has started to do it less and less as he’s gotten older. Phantom on the other hand…not so much. So Xavier will normally try and get him to take breaks. Take him lunch or making him take a tea break.

-If go out for lunch, they take Eve with them if she’s there.

-Phantom knits and does embroidery. So he’ll knit sweaters for X and do some cute embroidery on the dresses X buys for Eve.

-Xavier likes to cook Phantom’s favorite meals. He likes Pizza but he finds any pasta X makes to be better.

-They intend on staying with each other as long as they can.
