I definitely know the feeling. It sucks.
Apparently my studio has trouble functioning without me.

And what if I said I don't believe you?

What if I said I was with dad?

For the first time since the Greyback family had boarded the SS Tipton, Alex finally had a couple days off from work. It wasn't as if she'd spent every moment of the last few weeks working, but she had to spend a couple hours a day, every day. Alex knew that it was driving her children and husband a little bit crazy, especially Jasmine who couldn't do much without her. Her teenage children where no where to be found lately, especially Jessica who had gone almost completely missing in action for over a week. Alex knew that she was somewhere in Monte Carlo staying in a hotel, as she'd tracked Jessica's credit card a couple days ago. She knew that Jessica was okay, but she was still worried about her.
Knowing that Jasmine wanted to spend some time with her on her first day off, Alex suggested they make cookies. She'd swung by the convenience store on the ship and got some chocolate chips to put in the cookies and figured that the rest of the ingredients would be somewhere in the kitchen. In the Greyback family, Mason was the one who did all the cooking while Alex tended to burn almost everything she made, but she was always up for giving baking a try. In the kitchen, Alex preheated the oven for the cookies and found a cookbook she'd bought a couple years ago when she tried to teach herself to cook. She searched in the cabin's small kitchen for everything she needed, struggling to find everything. Jasmine whined from the kitchen counter, asking if she was ready and Alex rolled her eyes playfully. "Yes, come on!" she spoke, pulling out a mixing bowl. "Can you mix the... butter and sugar in this bowl?" she asked, pulling out the hand mixer.
Baking Gone Wrong ~ Jasmine and Alex
Jasmine pulled on her sparky purple socks and her little apron over her clothes before dashing into the kitchen to help her mother bake cookies. She was super excited to be spending quality time with her mother after all of her long tedious hours working. Sitting on the nearby stool, she sighed as she watched the older brunette pick up and pull things out of various cabinets. She knew her mother hated when she was underfoot in the kitchen due to the many hot objects so instead of disobeying her mother she sat.
“Are we ready yet Mommy?” Jasmine groaned impatiently as she swung her legs back and forth in boredom.

Mhm.

I had reasons. I was conflicted and my phone fell out the hotel window.

My daughter ran off to Monte Carlo without telling anyone, so I'm just great.

Hello to everybody, how’s it going?

Well you're one of my favorite people too!

But I love you more than tutus and drawing. You’re my favorite person.

Hmm... about as much as you love tutus and drawing.

Fine. How much do you love me then?

An hour or so? I don't think that's possible, hun!

That’s a great idea! When are we gonna go? I think I love you more than you love me.

You're married to Nick, right? I have to admit that I was secretly a fan of him and his brothers back in high school...

Yes, that would be me!
Yes, they are. I’ve missed spending time with my kids but most of all my husband. It’s hard being married to well known producer.

Wait, as in Alex Greyback the fashion designer?

You could probably go rollerblading on the track on the top deck of the ship, we could go up there later? We can go to the diner tonight, if you want!

Oh okay, can we go get cheeseburgers for dinner tonight?

I don't think I have the balance to go roller-skating, Jas. I'd probably just fall every five seconds!

Yay! Can we go roller skating?

I think I've actually met most, if not all, of your children. Where are you guys from?

Very nice, I look forward to meeting the rest of them.
