Wonderful!
Oh yes, I think I understand your question! :)
Both art require slightly different pipelines:
- the previous one I drew in masses, forming the basic shapes/silhouettes and tones/colors at the beginning, and then refining them with lines and strokes on top;
- and the new one I form entirely through lines and strokes, without having plans for painting;
I am also frustrated and demotivated by the process of painting over art from a line, so I try to determine at the start how I want my sketch to look - and if the forms/color are not so important to me this time, I allow myself to focus on the lines and relax.
My favorite pipeline is a mass drawing (like the previous art), it gives more possibilities and leaves behind a deeper satisfaction if the art turned out. But such art requires mental resources, more focused control and more time, which I do not always have, because drawing is purely a hobby and is not related to work!
P.S. my english is not very good, so if i have chosen the wrong terms or formulated the idea unclearly - let me know, i will try to rephrase it
@herrscherofmagic I've been thinking about your comment on my previous art and have come to the conclusion that your point is absolutely valid. Hope this brightens your day at least a little!
