Custom Full Round Top Fiberglass Door with Sidelights – Project in Barrie
We recently completed a beautiful custom front door replacement in Barrie, and the transformation is truly worth sharing.
The home originally featured a traditional 6-panel steel entry door with two sidelights and a round transom above. The customer’s vision was to eliminate the transom entirely and install a full-height round top entry door with sidelights—creating a seamless, tall and elegant entrance.
To achieve this look, we custom-built a fiberglass door with an oak grain finish, giving it the rich appearance of real wood while providing excellent durability and strength. The door was stained inside and out to match the client’s aesthetic and to provide a maintenance-free woodgrain door that looks stunning from every angle.
The new entry system includes two narrow sidelights and a full round top fiberglass door that fits perfectly within the original brick opening—no transom needed. Thanks to the current door replacement promotion in Barrie, the customer received an incredible value, along with a 25-year exclusive warranty from Trust Build Windows and Doors.
For added security and performance, the door was outfitted with a 4-point multi-lock system, which secures the top, middle, and bottom of the door in one motion, in addition to a central deadbolt.

Window and Patio Door Project in Mississauga – From White to Modern Black
Good morning,
We recently completed a window and patio door replacement project in Mississauga, and it came out great.
The house originally had white windows and sliding patio doors installed on a white brick exterior. On the inside, the jambs and extensions weren’t directly attached to the old windows—most likely they were added later. That gave us the opportunity to preserve the existing interior work and complete everything from the outside. In the windows and doors industry, this approach is often referred to as a split frame or hybrid installation.
The customer wanted a more modern look and decided to go with black windows and black patio doors. To keep the outdoor view as open as possible, the larger windows were installed as fixed units with no frames between—this really gave the home a clean, uninterrupted view. The smaller windows were done as casement windows to allow for good airflow and ventilation.
Instead of using the typical 3 1/4” residential frame, we upgraded to a 4 9/16” slim commercial profile. It’s thinner, just as strong, and looks incredibly sharp. The frame is clean—no extra grooves or detailing—just a simple, modern style that works beautifully with the home’s new black exterior. Both fixed and operational windows now have the same frame thickness, keeping everything looking neat and consistent.
The homeowner also qualified for the federal Greener Homes Loan, which helped finance the entire project with 0% interest over 10 years. On top of that, they applied through a local Ontario window rebate program and received $100 back per window and door opening.
All the new windows are triple glazed with double Low-E coating—one layer on the outside and one on the inside. The center pane is clear glass. This combo provides great solar control throughout the seasons, plus it boosts noise reduction and overall energy efficiency.
The before-and-after photos really say it all. You can clearly see the transformation from the original white frames to the sleek black window frames after installation. It’s a huge upgrade in both style and performance.
