ICE MUST have a warrant to search/enter any property. they will lie and manipulate you to allow them on the premises but if they arent holding a valid document in their hands they cannot legally do anything

They may say something like "our warrant is in the truck," tough shit, have them bring it to you, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM ANYWHERE. Do not leave your property if confronted.

If you are taken, say nothing until a lawyer is present. The exception is if there are bystanders present/filming, then you should shout your name and whats happening

If you are witnessing a raid in your community, wait to warn others via phone as the cops may be monitoring nearby communications and may use that to select their next targets. Warn by code or word of mouth

escape if the opportunity presents itself, but dont be stupid.

if you're aware of the Vulture article on Neil Gaiman, there's not much i can add; if you aren't and you go looking, my only advice is that if you hit a point where you're wondering if you should bail, do so, because the details of his behavior only get more vile as it goes along.

however, one thing i WILL say is to be on the lookout for smear campaigns against the sources and/or the journalist, Lila Shapiro, in the coming weeks and months. i cannot stress enough how brave this article is. if there's one thing more hazardous to your reputation than blowing up a rich and influential serial predator in the entertainment industry, it's making the church of scientology look bad, and she's managed to do both in one stroke. remember Lila Shapiro's name, and be extremely skeptical if it suddenly turns up later this year as the target of some slimy allegation.

Hey hey! I was just curious as to whether you know of the artist Hannah Höch? She's a German artist who worked a lot with mixed media including collage! Your work reminded me of one of her pieces "Da-dandy"(1919 I believe but don't quote me on that lmao).

Hi, so sorry it took me almost a year to reply! I thought I had! I was not familiar with Hoch (no idea how to make that type of letter O on my keyboard). I hope my work is less unsettling than hers, but it has been called "creepy" by more than one person, so maybe not :-)

I've finally gotten "Sanctuary" scanned and copies printed! I have ten 9X12s and one full size 18X24. Photo for attention, in my "summer Aziraphale" look (I have a much better wig now). HELP! - Does anyone have access to a FONT that matches the style of the Good Omens title? Sorry to bother you, but I really love your art, it's so impressive to me! I was wondering if there are any artists in particular you draw inspiration from? And do you have any tips? I'd really like to involve your style/medium in my coursework, I think it ties in nicely to the theme I'm doing currently, and it really inspires me. Thank you!

Hi, thank you so much! I got the idea from a high school project in which we had to use torn newspaper to make a picture. It wasn’t until I started doing this that I found other artists using a similar technique.

I still need to seal it, and I will need to get it professionally photographed to get prints made. But I am DONE cutting and gluing, and I am so ready to move on to another project. It's called "Sanctuary," and it is entirely cut paper from magazines and old books on an 18 X 24" canvas board.

Gave Aziraphale "wrinkles" and shading on his jacket. It feels a little wrong, but I'm not inclined to try to change it at this point. Also did some more fingers/knuckles, and identified a problem with Crowley's hand that needs fixing. But the end is in sight.

I worked mostly on Aziraphale's hands and cuffs tonight. Spent two hours while listening to my kid play D&D in the other room.

I didn't add any more words. Should I quit it with the words? I have plenty left, both for each of the Ineffables and for the story in general.

Yet to do: Add wrinkles to Az's jacket, get rid of C's impossible shoulder (that means the galaxy will have to go), and give Az a haircut. It's just silly how tall that shit is.

But I feel comfortable adding the actors' names in the tags, this time :-) I'll wait to tag Gaiman until I'm finished.

I gave Aziraphale a proper ear in the correct place (that is not a photo of an ear; it's all cut paper), and now his hair looks too high, but I don't want to shorten it, because it'd mean losing all those fun wings on top.

I have also been working on redoing his front hand. It's not done. Still to do: add wrinkles and shirt cuffs to Aziraphale's frock coat, and darken his chin a little to make that back hand stand out more.

Question: Does that big bold "US" take too much attention away from the figures? I can cover it up with sky, if so.

Not to be an annoying art history nerd but one other artist that I think is super cool and reminds me of your stuff is Njideka Akunyili Crosby. She's a Nigerian artist who oftentimes combines paint with collage and photography. She creates some amazing layered compositions and I just always get excited when I see other artists utilizing those techniques.

Hey, I'm so sorry; I didn't even know I had received your messages until now when I happened to sign in on my laptop. I'm not very experienced with Tumblr. Both those artists are phenomenal. You should look at my website, www.alexhunterart.com, for examples of my earlier collage work. I don't always "paint with paper;" sometimes I combine existing images like these artists.
