11 February 2025
One last day of studying for this semester's exam sesh - my molecular driving forces final is tomorrow. Yesterday's instrumental analysis exam surprised me more than once and I'm not expecting an amazing grade but genuinely it's fine. I got plenty of great final grades this semester and besides, I'm finally starting to understand how little grades ultimately mean. I think what really matters is the progress I've made since I started uni, my ability to implement the knowledge and skills I've gained there in a different setting (as proven by last year's internship), and the appreciation and faith that my professor has in me as a student - and that can't really be converted into a grade.

📃 10.02.2025 // worked kind a lot today on the project I have to finish for next week! I'm glad I had @nanthegirl and @winryrockbellwannabe to keep me company because the vocabulary hit hard (the 425 flashcards were sooo long to make and to retain)

the second semester of my second year has been a freaking WHIRLWIND. I scheduled my comprehensive exam for May and I got reviewer comments on my manuscript !!! so im trying to hurry and turn that around so I can have this published ASAP. i want to cite these findings in my NIH F31 application, hence the rush lol.
other major things going on this month
giving a pitch with my PI for a funding opportunity
a neuro exam on monday that i completely forgot about
outside of school, some other cool updates are I got 2 new tattoos :)))

[ 7th february, 2025 • 152/152 days ]
this semester's productivity challenge has finally come to an end! i think this was one of the hardest semesters ever for me. not everything went according to plan, but i did what i could. looking back, i could've done many things differently. i'll try to do better in the future instead of agonizing over that, though.
that being said, thank you so much to everyone who was part of this journey. thank you to all the people who left a comment or reached out. it gave me a lot of strength and i'm really grateful.
-> continued reading Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy (reached page 500 omg! that's 50%!)
-> volleyball practice (total: 1h30)

i'm a day late but !!!!!!
Celebrating international day of women and girls in STEM because in 2025 there are still men who will say to other men behind your back that you only got certain opportunities because you're a girl and/or because of your looks and/or because other men are attracted to you
