“Highway of Heroes”, was co-written and co-produced by The Trews and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar) and was inspired by the 2006 death of Captain Nichola Goddard…

Absolutely beautiful. Lest we forget.

For those not from Ontario, the Highway of Heroes is the route that the bodies of fallen soldiers are taken along from where they land back in Ontario in Trenton to the coroner’s office in Toronto. It is not uncommon for every single overpass along the 154 kilometre (95 mile) route to be packed with people flying flags, and every car to come to a stop out of respect when the convoy is passing. It really is a sight and an experience.
