Hi! What do you think would happen if Athy and Ijekiel married after Jennette died /was killed but Ijekiel had been previously married to Jennette and had a child with her? Villain Jennette AU or not, I don't think Ijekiel would want his child dead or exiled and I don't think Athy would abandon a child that was at least partly Ijekiel's either. She wouldn't want to repeat her own childhood neglect with someone else. Would they raise it together with their own children? But that would pose a problem regarding the succession in the future, doesn't it?

My interpretation: I also highly doubt that Athy would abandon an innocent child who didn't ask to be born, and I don't doubt that she would give it a good upbringing but not with her and Ijekiel's own children in the palace. She would make sure to send good teachers and let it grow up without wanting anything, and Ijekiel would always either visit or let the child visit him, but the child would grow up as the Alpheus ducal heir, not as a potential successor to the imperial throne. The child could also be removed from the front lines of potential political issues, having it be raised away from Obelia perhaps until it's of age. It also wouldn't matter whether the child looked like Ijekiel or Jennette, as she liked both of their appearances, but not enough to have the possibility of the child inheriting the throne from her when she has her own child/ren who are the rightful successors by direct line.

So Roger DID say to Ijekiel that he didn't have to put up with all of J's tantrums!!!? I clearly missed that bit damn...and it looks like they were planning on sending J to the palace MUCH earlier than they ended up doing, seeing as how Ijekiel says, "She'll be leaving very soon after all."

But when J brings Athy's ribbon to her, he throws it over the side of the staircase saying she needn't dirty her hands with something that's been on the floor and that he'll let her embrace many other things, as much as she wants, and that she doesn't have to feel as though she's lost something.

...Would he have said something different if it wasn't J but Felix who brought the ribbon back?
