“Morning” sounding like “mourning” just…destroys me. But despite the latter being a more appropriate name for a dragon—a name that could represent all that was lost—the former was chosen because Rhaena Targaryen looked at her dragon with hope instead of grief.

And maybe there was grief, maybe there was. But there was also hope.
