just thinking abt how carrie being mean 2 lara all the time is her very intentionally not manipulating her. lara would be less vulnerable if she wore a half to neon sign that says "manipulate me!". she spends 80% of dkiii in a Literal Actual Cult.

carrie is 1. not stupid, 2. from gotham, and 3. raised by the fucking batman. lara is easy pickings. but she Doesn't. she tells lara to fuck off, and lets her make her own decisions. carrie understands how impressionable and unsure of herself lara is, and makes the Very Intentional Decision to not take advantage of her. it'll take a long time 4 lara 2 realize it, but carrie is actually helping her.

What is your opinion on PunchBird/Alexis x Harper. I see people talk about it every now and then, and honestly I'm just a sucker for Yuri, sim I'm interested in your thoughts!

As far as yuri goes, Harper is definitely the woman that it makes the most sense to ship Alexis with. She had prominent appearances in both The Trial and The Gotham Game, and the two girls’ mutual hatred has long become personal.

I think the problem with the ship might be there’s a big power imbalance? I feel like Harper might totally develop a one-sided attraction for Alexis, who is very attractive and charismatic. You can kind of see this already in a few scenes. Harper is the one who is obsessively contemplating what people see in Alexis and why they like her so much; she is the one who has to deal with the fallout from Punchline existing in her personal life as well as her “professional” one. She’s the one who freaks out and goes “Alexis you’re fucking insane!!!!” when Punchline decides to throw a corpse at her. I think she could totally fall for Alexis’s charms, even while seeing her as an evil person.

(Let’s also admit Alexis and Harper were *clearly* yuribaited to a certain extent, for example in the scene where Harper ends up pinning Alexis to the ground. That’s fine, but it makes the pairing feel a little disingenuous.)

But Alexis? Let me make clear that it’s totally understandable if this is not your personal interpretation of her, after all she’s an interesting character who contains multitudes. But I don't think she would be interested in Harper as anything other than a toy to play with. Although Harper has impressive computer and hacking skills, she doesn’t really appear to be Alexis’s intellectual equal. She is also not physically menacing enough to be intimidating to Punchline. Basically their relationship would be super unequal, unless you gave Alexis some serious character development that takes her behavior in a different direction. Harper is also an anxious and mistrusting character, so it would be hard for her to open up emotionally, and Alexis would not make that easier lol.

As far as other lesbian pairings, “Knight Terrors” is a potential reason for shipping her with Babs. Alexis would be able to develop a true, non-condescending kind of burning hatred for Barbara, who is definitely her intellectual equal and a physical threat too. Now that Babs and Dick are dating in a stable way I think it would be hilarious for Alexis to terrorize both of them at the same time, and the threesome vibes write themselves by that point.

I also feel like Alexis would have a field day with Harley? Like, she’d immediately resort to the Joker’s abusive tactics and Harley might even fall victim to that, at least for a little while.

Now, to go really random and find some women I could ship Alexis with even if their canon interactions are limited or non-existent, if I was a DC writer I’d go for Cass OR Steph way sooner than I’d go for any of the aforementioned women. In the AU that exists exclusively in my head I lowkey ship Alexis with Gotham Girl, but to be fair I am insane.
