whatever was happening, clem felt like some kind of cruel joke was being played on her. she frowned a little bit when he asked if they had met. she wasn’t sure how to react. “um, yeah. once,” she said, downplaying it, since he clearly was doing the same.

incisors tugging at the tender flesh of his lesser brim , eliasz struggled to attach the beauty to a coherent memory . once again , doubt clouded the tissue of his brain — prompting further uncertainty as to whether or not he could TRUST HIS OWN MIND . ❛ i certainly hope that i left a better impression than i’m doing so at this moment , then . ❜ he conceded , hoping to ease the escalating tension .

  cerulean irises gauge the chiseled lineaments of dark, brooding features, smirking with kittenish satisfaction when salacious words provoke an ACTUAL smile. always keen to push boundaries, the lithe brunette holds his gaze with fiery determination while slender digits trail along his inner thigh.  “  oh yeah ?  ”  pru cants her head aside, chestnut tousles spilling over nimble shoulders.  “  prove it.  ”

the vixen was enjoying herself , evident as grin of mischievous glee widened upon her features in response to his retort . undeniably , the comfort the beauty maintained within her own skin to pursue WHATEVER AND WHOEVER she desired triggered eliasz’s initial attraction , such a trait a rarity .  ❛ seems like i don’t have to , considering your hand is practically already buried in my pants . ❜ he taunted , eyebrows cocking upwards ever - so - slightly .

a spark of remembrance flooded the blonde’s memory as her brown hues took in his distinct features. a large grin lit up her entire face as the identity of the male became apparent. “oh, well i can take that inside for you.” biting on her plush bottom lip to hide her grin she stepped forward arriving at the door and now next to him. “i don’t know if you remember me but you used to babysit me.” putting her keys in the lock she looked up at him, smiling, before looking back at the door finally unlocking it. 

features brightened as a smile set her countenance aglow , eliasz’s shame regarding his attraction towards the beauty MANIFESTED INTO SELF - DISGUST . the age gap between them a metaphorical trench outlining the error in his appreciation of the other .  ❛ great , thank you . ❜ he murmured , timber strained as a knot clotted in his esophagus — hope that he would go unrecognized , shattered . ❛ you’re a little hard to forget , given that you use to climb on me whenever you got the chance . ❜ the male admitted , teasing the beauty gently in an attempt to steer the conversation away from his own embarrassment .

eyes narrowing at the other male before softening slightly as an unfriendly smirk tugged at the corner of his cheeks. eliasz was the last person oliver thought he’d see here. his former best friend has been lost to him for quite some time and the once happy memories the two shared were now filled with hurt and anger. “ten years will do that to a person, eli.” he let out in a near snarl, now face to face with the male. 

EXASPERATION seeping from behind clenched canines , eliasz sank his large frame upon the wood stool once more — unprepared for the inevitable conflict of emotions that now boiled between the two . ❛ if apologizing would work , i would’ve done it by now … but we both know it won’t change anything … ❜ the marine relented , acknowledging the other’s bitterness for what it was — an expression of hurt and betrayal regarding his actions . ❛ because after eleven years , you and i both know that there is nothing i can say that will change much about how you feel about my choices , oliver . ❜ emerald hues peered towards the hostile figure . ❛ SO , TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO SAY . ❜

stepping out of her car, the unfamiliar figure at her door instantly caught her eye. with her coat and gym bag in hand, she cautiously approached the man. she had just gotten back from a yoga class and the exhaustion showed on her face by the crimson color of her cheeks. her blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, small whisps of hair falling out. once close enough to the muscular man, she began to talk to inform him of her presence. “they’re not home.” her singsong voice let out. “i’m their daughter though, was there something you needed?”

flinching as the high pitched timber tore him from his anxious state , eliasz pivoted on the heels of his feet — motions swift enough to INDUCE WHIPLASH . the features that greeted him , however , weren’t the one’s he was expecting . soft but angular, her countenance possessed a beauty reminiscent of the elder costa , though far more attractive . ❛ n — no . i , um , i just came to drop this off . ❜ he finally uttered , momentarily peering down towards the cardboard box filled with photographs — realization regarding the other’s identity prompting guilt upon his APPARENT VISUAL APPRECIATION .

there was still a lot of confusion for clem about eliasz. he was so cold now. she knew she’d wanted things to end betweem them before they could get serious, which was why their timing was perfect, but she hadn’t expected him to come back and pretend to not know her. she ordered a drink, sitting back a little. “so um, are you happy to be back?”

an uncomfortable silence blanketing the pair , eliasz maneuvered gently upon his stool — a sense of unease manifesting as the remorse for his prior actions settled in the marrow of his bones . ❛ pardon ? ❜ he queried , eyebrows creasing inward in confusion , motions ceasing . ❛ HAVE WE MET ? ❜

the familiar scent of perfume overwhelming his senses , eliasz could feel the beauty singeing the nerves beneath his flesh long before the heat of her breath caressed the drum in his ear . OOZING FROM HER TONGUE LIKE POISON , the taunt elicited a rare grin to perch upon his features — brims grazing as he faced her directly . ❛ you wouldn’t still be here if i couldn’t handle it . ❜

“oh come on. even for an old friend?” his husky voice sounding anything but friendly as he stood there with his glass in hand. oliver wouldn’t normally be so forward but seeing eliasz here and having a couple of drinks already in his system, he decided to approach the other male. 

hues of jade peering towards the towering figure with slight irritation , eliasz couldn’t resist the widening of his petals as recognition consumed his countenance . years had passed , but the male before him was an IRREPLACEABLE FIGURE of his youth — despite the unpleasant encounters provoked by his decision to enlist . ❛ i’d say that you haven’t aged a day , but i think time is getting to you , oli . ❜ the male taunted , vividly aware of the irony laced in his dialect as he rose to his feet .

he was a good person but the memories involving him weren’t always positive. she liked to drink and back then, she needed to, simply to avoid everything else in her life. sometimes it got to a point where she couldn’t make decisions for herself and some guy, usually older than she, would try to make them for her. she always managed to come out unscathed, living for another day, another party. “no, i’m sorry.” she backtracked, guilt settling heavy in her chest. no one was obligated to take care of her but after the fire, things went downhill and she found herself lying in bed, half drunk and alone wondering where in the world was the kid that used to look out for her. was he safe? would he ever be back? “you were brave to leave this place. i guess, i just never learned how to make real friends. i’m just…glad you made it back.”

memories fresh as though they had just occurred , eliasz vividly recalled the first evening he truly NOTICED elsa — her body draped upon an abusive figure with hands that ventured south . he acted without hesitation , without careful thought , knuckles bruising as clenched digits collided against the handsy stranger’s jaw . ❛ you shouldn’t be , … ❜ — ❛ i didn’t exactly give anyone much notice before i decide to up and leave on a spur decision . ❜ he conceded as the recollections faded with images of elsa’s unconscious frame draped in his arms . a part of him desired to tell her that it had been worth it , leaving everything behind to serve others and , yet , such a lie couldn’t make it beyond his stomach , much less his brims . ❛ RECKLESS AND NAÏVE is more accurate but … i’m glad i’m back too . ❜
