Note: You're doing amazing!! So the thing is I didn't see praise when I started writing this and did my best to work it in 😅

The sound of the apartment door opening and Ryder’s angry grumbling to himself grabbed my attention away from the tv. I could already tell he didn’t have a good day at work. I kept quiet, waiting for him to act first. I learned quickly that he can be unpredictable when he gets angry.

He continued grumbling as he took off his coat and dumped his keys in the tray before kicking off his shoes and plopping down beside me on the couch. “I’m gonna kill that bitch one of these days…” He grumbled angrily about his manager, pulling me onto his chest. She’s been making his life hell lately.

I kissed his chest, playing with one of his hands, “I’m proud of you for holding back, I know it’s hard.” He huffed but kissed the top of my head, “Do you want to share a bath?” I asked, wanting to help him relax in any way I could. He deserted to be pampered for all he does for me.

Ryder grumbled, “Yeah…” He loosened his grip on me but didn’t move to get up. I patted his chest and got up to start the bath. The bathroom wasn’t small, but it wasn’t exactly big either. The bathtub was much the same, big enough to fit both of us but not much more. I searched for bubble bath soap while the tub was filling with warm water. I wanted this bath to be as relaxing as possible, he deserved it after such a long day at work.

Once I found the elusive soap, I added it to the bath, letting it bubble up before calling out for Ryder. “It’s ready!” I turned the water off and heard him groan, footsteps approaching. I smiled as he entered the bathroom, “I added bubbles.”

He closed his eyes and I could see him sigh internally, not wanting to take his anger out on me for such a small little thing. “Thank you, liebe.” 

I watched him slowly undress, tired from a long day. “Can I join you?” I asked, sitting on the sink, so I wasn’t in his way.

Grunting, he stepped into the tub, lowering himself into the warm water. “Get in here.” He shifted and made room so I could join him in the tub. He watched me strip with a smirk, “Fuck, you look amazing…”

I blushed at his praise, carefully stepped into the tub. “Shut up…” I mumbled, sitting down between his legs and resting my back against his chest. 

He wrapped his arms around my waist, rubbing circles on my hip. “Thank you, I needed this.”

“It’s the least I could do, you already do so much for me.” I said, playing with his free hand. 

Ryder kissed my neck lovingly, holding me close. “I don’t know what I do without you, liebe…You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

I looked up at him, blushing. “Despite everything, I don’t know what I’d do without you either.”
