Princess finds a bedraggled knight wandering just outside the castle walls with no heraldry and a wilted plume (a common sign of emotional neglect in knights) and begs the queen to let her keep him. The queen warns about the dangers of adopting wild knight errants but the princess promises to take good care of him and make sure to keep him away from their domesticated knights until he’s properly adjusted. Queen finally relents once she sees his rusted kit, broken sword, and the saddest brown eyes known to man. Princess claps her hands excitedly and drags him off to the apothecary to make sure he doesn’t have worms.

The Strawberry Poem by Keaton St. James
(patreon)
[ID: poem titled ‘The Strawberry Poem’ reading,
“i tell myself that once i make it to tomorrow, i will get up with the gold glow of the sun, tighten my scarf against the restless cold, & walk to the nearest grocery store. i will buy the biggest box of strawberries i can find, sit on my kitchen floor, eat them with my hands all in one shot.                                                      like a child or like god, i will stain some things red on accident. & still the foam-mouthed seas will churn under the gaze of the moon, & cardinals with snow- brushed wings will nestle themselves into pine branches the way a heart nestles itself into the ribs, & still i will have my laughter, yes, even when pain fills up my pockets like stones.                                                      but isn’t that the miracle? i was close enough to the river to kiss it, & i went home anyway. home, where it is so easy to spill sugar on the counter, drop tea leaves on the floor, forget splinters of cinnamon sticks & find them later behind the kettle, your mess the proof that you were not a ghost here but a body, solid & awake & true. home, where it is                                                     so easy to make a big joy from a small strawberry, to hold that sweet- ness in your mouth, its red as bright as wanting. its red that says, & how much more joy can we hold in another year, another decade, a whole recklessly beautiful life?”

This picture is absolutely cracking me up because it’s just after they’ve rescued Palpatine from the elevator shaft and you can tell EXACTLY how this went just from the motion blur of it.  THE MOTION BLUR IS SO FUNNY. That those two Jedi assholes swung the CHANCELLOR OF THE REPUBLIC through the first random doorway that opened for them, so that he landed RIGHT ON HIS ASS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY, probably still making this exact face:
Tumblr media
Just thinking about that makes me absolutely LOSE IT.  LOOK AT IT! LOOK AT THE WAY HIS FEET AREN’T EVEN ON THE GROUND BECAUSE THEY SENT HIM FLYING THROUGH THE DOORWAY. LOOK AT THE WAY HE LITERALLY LANDS ON HIS ASS AND PROBABLY GOT A BRUISED TAILBONE OUT OF IT.  GOD, I HOPE HE HAD TO THROUGH THE REST OF THE PLOT OF REVENGE OF THE SITH WITH A PAINFUL TWINGE EVERY TIME HE SO MUCH AS STOOD UP OR SAT DOWN OR BREATHED WRONG. BUT JUST.  PALPATINE.  ON HIS ASS IN THE MIDDLE OF GRIEVOUS’ SHIP.  ROBES FLYING AROUND HIM, FEET NOWHERE NEAR UNDERNEATH HIM, LEGS AKIMBO AS HE FLAILED THROUGH THE AIR LIKE A DISCARDED FIDGET SPINNER, ALL WHILE THOSE JEDI GET TO USE THE FORCE TO BE COOL AND HAVE AWESOME LOOKING LANDINGS. IT’S SO FUNNY.

𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐷𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡
𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐: "Our Blades Are Sharp" 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒍: The Bolton sigil is a red flayed man, on pale pink spotted with red blood drops. 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒔: The Boltons are known for their historical practice of flaying their enemies, and they are said to hang the skins of their enemies in a room of the Dreadfort. The family has a reputation for being dishonorable, cruel, and cunning. They are physically known for their pale, almost ghostly complexions.
The Boltons are an ancient and powerful House of the North who once ruled as Red Kings from the Dreadfort, with their land reaching from the Last River and the White Knife to the Sheepshead Hills. The Dreadfort, the ancestral seat of House Bolton, is said to have hidden passageways and dungeons used for flaying and torturing prisoners. It’s also implied that the castle is built to inspire fear, with chilling legends surrounding its construction and history.
Thousands of years ago, the Dreadfort rose in an unsuccessful rebellion with the Greystarks of the Wolf's Den against the Starks. The Boltons survived the rebellion, although the Greystarks did not.
House Bolton was infamous for its centuries-old practice of flaying their enemies alive, to the point that they used a flayed man as their sigil. The Boltons supposedly gave up this practice after bending the knee to House Stark, and centuries later, Lord Eddard Stark outlawed flaying in the North altogether, but the Boltons continued the practice. This led to them being despised and feared by many of the Northern houses, especially after their betrayal of House Stark.
Lord Roose Bolton is noted as a capable battle commander. He fought alongside Eddard Stark during Robert's Rebellion. After the Battle of the Trident, Roose suggested executing the defeated Barristan Selmy, but Eddard and Robert Baratheon refused.
According to Roose Bolton, the lord of the Dreadfort has the right to sleep with a miller’s wife on her wedding night, a supposed "first night" tradition (a controversial and horrifying custom). Ramsay Snow was conceived from such an act, with Roose hanging the miller beneath a tree and forcing his wife to name the boy Ramsay.
Roose’s legitimate son, Domeric, was poised to inherit the Dreadfort, but he mysteriously died after seeking companionship with his bastard brother, Ramsay. Many speculate Ramsay murdered him, eliminating a rival for Roose’s favor.

I never wanted you to feel jealous. It's an awful feeling, like a rot... the way it just twists and turns at your insides. I know that aching so well. I feel it... whenever I see others whose lives come easy. Because the truth is, I'm not really a good person.
