heres a unfinished date comic I made months ago. I'll explain how it was supposed to end below.

This comic was supposed to feel as canon as possible where the plot wasn't really about the date but more about how Petey feels like an outsider in their friend group. Like the feeling when your friend leaves you with their friends and yall have nothing in common to talk about.

Petey was going to leave through the bathroom window before lil Petey and Molly stop him. Of course Sarah brought them over to the same place where they're having dinner because in a Sarah vs LP and Molly you know who won.

After they tell Petey that even if you feel like you don't know them well just TALK and get to know them- You won't become friends by not talking!

Petey repeatedly tells them that it's complicated, he knew them for a year, he can't NOW ask what's their favorite color or whatever! "Adult relationships are hard to gain and maintain, there's rules to these things!"

And Molly and LP tell him he's just making things complicated, what rules say you can just talk to people? We talked to each other and thats how we become friends!

Luckily Petey has some time to mull over that while they fight their monster/villain of the week that just took the roof off.

By the end he talks to Chief and Nurse lady and actually starts to get to know them. Truly realizing that he WAS making things more complicated than it is.

Finally making it a true friend group!

#this is a very sweet premise!#and i love the idea that as comfortable as he is to be just have his family (dogman Lil Petey and 80HD)#he's not truly settled in #not when he's avoiding interactions and comraderie from people that are VERY involved in dogmans and LPs life #and not just involved #sarah is dog man's best friend (and would not hesitate to kick ass if anyone looks at her friends wrong)#chief is dog man's established ride or die (and has broken serveral laws for dog man without a second thought)#flippy (he's not here but shush) would and will go out of way to make sure lil petey is safe #petey has to go out of his comfort zone because he needs the personal stability of having friends especially ones like them #and we all know stability is something petey needs #plus i feel like if not them as friends #then really no one #because petey is not the type to befriend people who have not fought alongside him or has simply been there #everyone needs BOTH family and friends and petey is ultimately no exception even if he dislikes MAKING those connections #but having friends is something that will help petey immensely #oh damn i rambled #i know most don't really think about the stability and support they as friends could give petey since we all adore his family dynamics more #because... thats all Petey's involved in #but yeah i think petey being in friend group would be a really sweet thing and would help him #also i like the “im taking your parent to [ ] in that” meme #dog man #i hope op doesn't mind the “I NEED TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT FRIENDSHIP WILL BENEFIT PETEY TRUST” PowerPoint i did

I just wanna point out that in the "if we weren't brothers" post that Mugman's suit thingy does a lil indent and then outwards like normal but cuphead's thingy goes outward like a spike. Like his diamond. And Mugman's on a second glance resembles his spade. I see it. It did not go unnoticed.
