I feel like a lot of people skimmed over the part of the book where Ponyboy got a concussion and was so loopy and in a state of denial that he was trying to convince himself and his school friends that Johnny was not dead and that it was him, not Johnny who killed Bob. It really is tragic that so many people just boil this part of the book down to “Oh, Ponyboy just got a concussion” ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT.

He really was just a 14 year old boy who went through hell all in one week.

•sometimes when curlys laying on pony while hes reading his curly ass hair is in ponys way of the rest of the pages. pony doesnt like pushing curly away allll the time so ponys just stuck rereading the same 2 pages 1/2 the way through till curly gets up

•i said before if curly met ponys parents, i dont think he would rlly like ponys mom and i feel like thats the same w ponys dad. pony thought curly wouldve liked them so hes hurt and that would probably leave them w some unresolved tension, but theyre dead so it doesnt happen lmfao

•as kids curly only picked pony during duck duck goose bc he saw pony as the only one who could run fast enough to make it fun. everyone else r some weaklings in a different way of pony!! pony doesnt know how to take that “compliment”

•pony has a lucky coin he sacrifices ALL THE TIME for curly to get him something from the school vending machine so curly has somethin to eat. he hates eating while curlys just,,,there, its uncomfortable all around. he ties it w a string and pulls it out after typing it in what curly wants

•if/WHEN curly gets a job, at his work place he would refer to pony using feminine petnames (namely “the misses”, but once he forgot his lunch so on his break pony went to give it to curly and thats the day curlys coworkers found out he was living w a dude. pony had 0 clue about it. curlys coworkers r split between thinking theyre friends, just broke roommates n curlys calling pony that to b a dick or theyre something more

•if pony met curlys parents, he would b scared of his mom, and just think his dad was ugly and thank god curly got his moms genes mostly. curly would think its the funniest thing ever, he hates his dad too lmfaooo

•curly wants to looks up to tim a lot WHICH PONY CAN sorta kinda admire. however he draws the line at it at some point, he refuses to BASICALLY date tim shepard v2. especially if tim and darry r already dating?? its just so weird to him he cant take it, hes not dating a full on clone, he likes curly as an individual, thats what drew pony in

•curly has his own business of selling weed BUT he buys it off hippies, then sells it at a different higher price. he does this bc he knows a lot of greasers would rather b found dead than talking to a hippie, curlys just capitalizing off it. he uses the money to spljrge w pony and pony can call him a hypocrite all he wants, he cant say that it isnt smart. one of the smartest ideas curlys got tbh

•theyve broke the schools glass display of trophies once and got away w it bc the school didnt have anyone in that part of the school around to see it. they were running in the halls, one of em tripped into it and it all shattered😭out of solidarity they dont admit who did it

•what if their first kiss was actually when tim head butted them together guys, then what

•curly helps tutor pony in language and math class. pony thought it would b the worst thing ever cause its curly trying to explain topics he finds hard, but curlys a simple thinking guy, so truthfully, honestly, the way he gets pony to explain CAN very helpful. keyword can b, sometimes curly dunno what he’s doin, both of those subjects r just things hes naturally good at it comes to him easy

•if, very big, IF pony got drunk, he would b clinging onto curly the whole time bc he feels safe w him. pony would favor more fruity alcoholic drinks btw, not important but just wanted to say

autistic cherry valance . cherry valance masking 24/7 and trying to be the “perfect daughter,” having shutdowns more than meltdowns because she was forced to be “well behaved.” cherry valance never fully feeling comfortable in her own skin, feeling like she’s performing and faking every social interaction just to get people to like her. cherry valance going nonverbal during moments where she’s overwhelmed, not being able to form words or having to force them out because she’s so overstimulated by the people around her. going hyperverbal when talking about areas of interest or when around people she feels comfortable with. cherry valance hyperfixating on her interests and blabbering on and on to marcia about her favorite things. cherry valance hating the feeling of some of her clothes but forcing them on anyways because she needs to “fit in” and “look nice.” cherry valance never really Fully getting social cues, but being so incredibly empathetic and feeling so much for others that she feels like she’s going to burst. cherry valance feeling understood by ponyboy, who is also autistic. never quite understanding why he gets her more than most people despite only knowing her a short time. autistic cherry valance !!!!!
