The rare Seraphim Shark is believed to be a mutation of the bottom-dwelling Angelshark. This fish is highly valued as a trophy by anglers, who hold competitions to find the strange creature. Sightings are so uncommon that an evaluation of their conservation status has not yet been conducted.

Horned Land Frog (Sphenophryne cornuta), family Microhylidae, Fakfak Region, western New Guinea
The male frog guards the eggs. The young go through the tadpole stage in the egg, and then hatch as froglets. The male then carries the newly hatched froglets on his back.

A couple nights ago I dreamt that snakes had legs. Little gecko paws.
Yes I know lizards exist. My brain reinvented lizards with extra length.

Had to take a quick photo of her because I'm pretty sure this gal is pregnant and I though that was cool. Pics are blurry 'cus she was moving fast and I didn't want to squeeze her. Immediately put her back of course. And I now know these aren't darkling beetles but bronze ground beetles (thank you! I've been seeing these guys for years).
How fun! Certainly looks female but I don't know if you can tell whether or not they're gravid by abdomen size like you can with some species. If she is, may all of her many babies live long and happy beetle lives :)
