Messed around in RE8 today.

Why doesn't Chris wear body armour or any protection like he used to? I know he's a veteran and all but mistakes can still happen, one bite or scratch could get him infected. Was it a matter of getting stuck in to deal with Miranda while he had the chance that he didn't have time to put on body armour? Or does he just not care about his safety/life anymore? Or does he have a special immunity of some sort?

It seems unusual to go into an area with hundreds of BOWs and not have anything to protect him, a tight turtleneck isn't going to do anything for him 🤨
