"I wasn't sure if you wanted to be part of this process of not, but." she started, placing the binder on the coffee table of her shared apartment as she looked over at Nolan who had joined her on the couch. "My doctor gave me some information on how to find a parent, so, this binder is full of people that are looking to be parents." she admitted, looking at it as her fingers brushed the front of the binder, eyes only looking at Nolan a moment later. "We can start looking now; probably should in case it takes a bit for this process to start." she sighed. "You want to look too or should I wait until you're gone?"

Hearing him confirm that he too thought adoption was the best option for the two of them, Alli nodded. That was reassuring, and to know that he'd have understood either way made her heart nearly leap out of her chest. Sure, they'd been careless and this was what had happened, but, to know that he was on the same page about it all. It was going to be a difficult process, but Alli knew that between the two of them they'd be better getting through it together. "Thanks." she exhaled as she looked over at him a moment later. Scooting towards him she sighed, her head resting on his shoulder as they say in silence. @nolanxmurray

He hated that he was stressing out so bad; this was so much on her, so much he had put on her. He just did what she wanted and followed her to an area where they could sit away from everyone and talk. He went and sat by her, close but not too close to keep space if she wanted it. "Alright," he nodded, that was good, he knew he couldn't do it right now, take care of a kid. But if she was going to go the other way, he would have understood. "I would have understood..." if she had gone the other way. He wanted to hold her so bad and show her it would be okay, but he was staying back for now. "That's right, I hear people want to be parents a lot," and they had their own problems with it. He nodded, "I am no one that should be a father..." he looked at her. He had such a hard time caring for himself lately. "I'm too stupid for that.... " he didn't mean to say it out loud, but he did. "But adoption is best..." they both couldn't handle a kid right now. @alliannahvaughn

A nod was all she managed to do to respond to the other's statement of being fine now. She trusted that he was being truthful; at least she knew now even if she hadn't known then. And if she were being entirely honest with herself, that was all the information she needed that sealed the thought in her mind. Instead of commenting though, she waited for his confirmation that they could talk somewhere else, she took a step forward, reaching for his hand to guide him through the crowd of people. It was only once they were in a more secluded spot that she felt herself relax, sitting down on the sand in an attempt to keep herself calm. "I've decided that I'm going to put the baby up for adoption." she stated, looking over at him. "I wasn't even sure I wanted to go through with the pregnancy at all, but, I'm already about eight weeks along, and the more I thought about it, the more I couldn't do that, especially not alone." she admitted. "So I thought about it. Someone deserves to be a parent to this baby, but I don't think it should be us." she admitted, eyes focused on the water. "I'm not cut out to be a mom." she admitted. "And you just admitted you were homeless; we can't bring a baby into that. So, I think this is our best bet. Find someone to take it and put it up for adoption." @nolanxmurray

He was scared; he couldn't be a father. He was barely making it by; he felt how he felt, he wasn't that smart, and wouldn't want to pass that along to someone else. He had so many issues growing up that he hated for another kid to deal with all of that. "I am fine now, okay," he said, hating that he spilled what happened like he did. He was going to tell her, but he wanted to do it right. he knew that she would have let him stay with her, same with most of his friends. But he didn't want to do that, so he lived on his own, doing his own thing till he got arrested. Something he was going to wait to tell her. He went up to her and backed up, putting his hands up. He felt like she wouldn't want to be touched, but he had to try. "Sorry, I won't." he took a step back. He wanted to hold to let her know she was okay, but he stayed back. "Whatever you want, okay, I'll do it," he said, waiting for her to lead them somewhere. "And you can, I don't...whatever you want," he said. He knew it was up to her, and he was fine with that. "Still," he should have done better; he hated that he caused this, he felt like he did. It was turning out to be the time he was having such a hard time, and he knew his mind wasn't on protection as much as it should have been.

Alli could only imagine the stress that was coursing through Nolan's head right now. It was the same stress that was coursing through hers. Difference was she'd made her mind up a long time ago on what she wanted to do; no what she had to do. She just had to find a way to break it to Nolan. She let her eyes watch him, trying to read his body language, take in all of his movements, read him like a book but it was useless. Well, maybe not entirely; she'd gathered that he was stressed based on the way he was standing alone, his words had just been an added bonus to that. "I'm glad you have somewhere to be." she stated. Regardless of her feelings for Nolan and how she felt about things, she was the kind of person to never let someone live on the streets if she could help it. She'd give up her bed to give it to anyone if she knew it was something they needed. Nolan would've been no exception; she'd probably have switched places with him and lived on the street instead if she were honest with herself. "That's what friends do." she stated, though calling him a friend now felt a little insane. But that's what they were, friends. His question caught her off guard and she exhaled, shaking her head as she crossed her arms. "No." she admitted, watching as he came towards her and she took a step back. "Please don't touch me, Murray I'm already trying really hard not to lose it and I don't think I can keep it up if you do.." she admitted, shaking her head again. "Do you want to find a place to sit, maybe talk a little more?" she asked. "I - uh. I know what I want to do and I'm not keeping that from you, but I don't want to tell you here." she shrugged, only letting her eyes meet his when he apologized for not being too careful. "I had the ability to stop you and I didn't." she shrugged. "It's just as much my fault, Nolan." @nolanxmurray

He couldn't do it; he couldn't have a kid and be a father. He was barely taking care of himself right now. He couldn't do it, he knew how he was, so it worried him. She could do it, she was smart and kind, amazing really, but he just thought he was a stupid fool, so he shouldn't have a kid. "Sorry," he said, trying to get a hold of himself. "I was but..." he looked at it. "It's fine, I am ...with Chris now," he said, he had stopped himself from telling her even more. "No, I wouldn't have done that." he wouldn't want to put that on her, taking care of him. "Are you okay?" he asked, more worried about her now. he went to her, unsure if she wanted him to touch her or not. "I am sorry I should have taken care of things better," he thought they always were safe. @alliannahvaughn

Alli knew based on Nolan's reaction that he was just freaking out, that none of the things he said were meant to be directed towards Alli, but for a split second, she almost regretted telling him. Because even though she was on the same page - there was no way in hell she was prepared or ready to be a mother - hearing he was on the same page, or at least was this upset about it made her heart hurt just a little. She had to take a deep breath, remind herself she'd had a bit to process; this was the first time he was hearing him and she knew the news was enough to make anyone freak out when they weren't prepared. She was about to tell him that she knew how he felt, only that was muttered by his admittance he'd been homeless. "Wait, you were homeless?" she rose an eyebrow, almost more upset he hadn't said something sooner. "Before the trip? You could've stayed with me you know." she exhaled, glad to have a small moment of distraction from the topic at hand. @nolanxmurray

He was just so nervous from this he almost couldn't even talk, just coughed second from. "the fuck" he didnt mean that towards her just towards what was going on. "Fuck no you cant be" he knew she was telling about the tests. "No, no... no don't," he said. He didn't want to see that; he didn't want to see any test or proof in front of his eyes. "The..." he moved, now he was trying not to panic about what was going on. He knew they both were full adults, but he felt like he was sixteen right now. "But we were good on the trip," he was pretty sure they were. "Like I can be a dad I just. was fucking homless without a damn job I cant ..." he looked away he hadn't told her that, but he was just in such a shock he kept talking. @alliannahvaughn

Shaking her head when he said that it wasn't funny. "I'm not joking." she admitted, her voice a little harsher than necessary, but, shaking her head as she bit her lip, trying to contain the tears that were threatening to spill over. "I took a test - five actually." she admitted, hands now shaking as she looked back up at him. "I'll even take another if you want the proof, but yeah.." she added, eyes averting for a moment. "I'm actually pregnant. And we need to talk about what we're doing because there's no way I can be a mom." @nolanxmurray

He hurried to the beach; he didn't want to keep her waiting that long. Thankfully, he wasn't too far from the beach himself. He smiled, happy to see her going to go in for a hug, but stopped himself, hearing what she said. "What?" he didn't think he heard her right. "That's not funny," he said, too nervous to think she was being serious, but her face said she wasn't kidding; she was clearly upset. He knew they had their fun on their trip, but he didn't think anything could come from it. @alliannahvaughn

The beach was calming the pit that was growing in her stomach the longer she had to put this off. And to know that in a few short moments she'd be speaking it out loud for the first time made her head nearly spin. Sandals off, one hand in the other scanning the sand. Something about feeling it under her fingers was something comforting to her. Though she had barely gotten the knot in her stomach to subside when she heard her voice. She hadn't meant to blurt it out, yet, when Nolan asked her if she was okay, she shook her head, the words escaping her lips before she even had the chance to think. "I'm pregnant." though the words felt foreign falling from her lips. @nolanxmurray

Nolan: Alright?! The beach is fine, do you need me to get you??

He had no idea what was going on, but he was happy to meet up with Alli. He didn't really get along with or like a lot of people in town. That lately he works and just goes home and gets away from the world. But once he knew she wanted to meet at the beach, he made his way over. Thankfully, he borrowed his brother's car so he could get around. He was trying to save up so he could get a car, something used that could just get him around. Once he arrived, he did his best to use some body spray that he always used to cover up that he had just gotten off work. He arrived and took off his shoes, walking onto the beach till he spotted her. "Alli," he smiled at her, but once he got closer, he was a little worried from the look on her face. "You alright?"

TEXT📱 → Nolan: I don't mind, you know that. Wanna meet at the beach? Or is there somewhere better?

She knew that she personally would prefer to meet at the beach over anywhere else; it was a little less secluded these days but the sound of the waves and the people talking over them would be distracting enough to keep her occupied until he got there. Not to mention it was closer to her, which was always a bonus in her book. Before she even really waited for his answer, she put her shoes on, making her way to the beach. Once there she began scoping for shells, anything she could to occupy her time. @nolanxmurray

Nolan really didn't like working, but it had to be done. The good part was that he was glad he mostly did work alone. It made things he could just get into his head and music without a bother. Working with the public too much was hard with him. He had gotten off work and was going to go home and shower, but his phone went off. It was Alli; he had not really seen her since they had hung out at the lake. he had messaged her before, but he knew she had her own life. He just was doing his best to keep working and save up money as he knew he needed it and didnt want to stay with his brother forever.

Nolan: Hey! No, I just got off of work, so I smell like cut grass, but I'm free.

The days since her meet up with Kira had been stressful; and it was beginning to really weigh on her. She'd been doing her best to remain calm, but for Alli that really just avoiding most people and diving into work. Whether that was making clothes for the boutique - which often times just stressed her out more - or deep diving into jewelry making to keep herself occupied. Yet, something about today she just couldn't do it; she needed to talk to Nolan. Pulling her phone out of her pocket, she pulled up his contact, clicking on their texts and sending him a message. TEXT📱 → Nolan: Are you busy? Can we meet up?

"Yeah, we wouldn't be able to survive summer's around here without that." she admitted. Living on the west coast her entire life and also working in her own business that required her to be in the direct sunlight a lot, she'd grown quite thankful for air conditioning. "Yeah, I can't imagine this is the best place to ride bikes around." she stated. "I mean I used to; I rode my bike nearly every day to school until my friends in high school started driving, but." she shrugged. "It's a little different when you live on your own and have groceries you need to buy." Alli didn't live alone but, she no longer lived at home with her parents. She'd sailed that ship a long time ago. "I mean I'd guess it's from being out in the sun so much." she stated, eyes focused on the other as she spoke. "It's always kind of done it though." she admitted, shrugging as if it was the most nonchalant thing she could've ever said. Though the reminder that bears had been mentioned made her chuckle. "Hey, I get it." she admitted. "I'm not one that judges and I have no right to question you." she laughed. "But I don't think we have to worry about bears. And if we do you might as well just let it get me because I don't think I'd survive it." she admitted, eyes focused on the other. Though as she stood, she looked over at Nolan, smiling when he said he'd planned to spend it with her. "I had nothing else planned either, so, I think I'd like that." @nolanxmurray

He nodded as he looked at her, "You and me both, as long as it moves and has like AC and heat, we are good," because it got so warm in summer and hot in winter, it was really needed. "It was so easy with my bike but the weather here sucked for it" why he went down on his bike before from the weather. "but we will find one that makes it work for us both" and they could go in on payments and gas. He looked up at his hair on his face. "I don't know why that happens, my hair is light enough." he never got why summer, his hair got lighter. Being the only blonde in the family, he always felt he stood out enough from the rest. He rubbed the back of his neck "I dont know I guess it looks like woods and shit so I thought their maybe one" he had seen them back in Teenassee before so he guessed they be all over. Hearing what she said, he looked away for a second before looking back at her. "Guess that's a good idea," he had time, he had nothing, no home, and he didn't enjoy taking from others, but he had done it. "Nothing really," he smirked, "Just thought I'd spend it with you..."

Taking a sip of the drink once it was in her hand, Alli shook her head as she looked up at the ceiling as if looking for a speaker. This definitely wasn't the type of music she came to the bar for, and she hoped that wasn't some sort of symbolism for the rest of the night. It wouldn't be; she'd put every dollar she had in that jukebox if she needed to. She pressed her finger to her lips as if thinking, shrugging before downing the rest of her drink. "As long as it's something I can move to I have no preference, but you know the dance floors always moving if we play some Britney Spears or Kesha so I'd say we'd be wise to start there." @harlowhanlon

"Perfect!" Harlow exclaimed. "Gin Tonic it is!" Her words were spoken a little too loudly, with a little too much enthusiasm, as she walked further into the room towards the bar. Her lips bore a smile, content and at ease. She was nothing if not spontaneous, a quality she appreciated in her friend and roommate. Some of the best nights of her life happened without a master plan, without a grand scheme. Just following notions and wishes. With a charming smile, she ordered their first round, before turning to Alli. "Good, I kind of hoped for that. But, we have to pick out the best song." She spoke over the sound of Robert Plant's voice. "Because I wouldn't know how to dance to that." Give her a drink or two, and she wouldn't care what song she danced to, whether it be Led Zeppelin or Britney Spears. Dealer's choice. @alliannahvaughn

The last thing Alli needed was another thing to take care of. She had a hamster and a cat that had for some reason showed up on her doorstep, that she was barely able to care for. If it wasn't for all the care instructions online - and the very easy step by step guides that basically said 'buy this food, feed this much, you're golden' kind of steps she doubted she'd even be able to do that. So a plant where the steps for care could very easily be from something as simple as water to adding all these things to care of it otherwise, Alli wasn't cut out for it. That's why these very interestingly named plants were sitting on Hank's porch railing and not in a window in Alli's apartment. Hearing the other's confession made Alli laugh, though she nodded. "I mean, if you want more I'll gladly spend my money on things that I can't care for." she stated with a small smile. "I don't need to, but, I do have two cats in my apartment these days so, the likelihood of it isn't too slim." Not that she ever prepared to buy more, but, in the off chance that she was gifted something toxic to cats she wasn't going to keep it. "I would've never struck you as a plant person." she admitted, though she didn't mean much by it. "I guess people would deem me as one though, even though I'm far from it." @hxnkbrxmson

Raising an eyebrow at her brother's question in response she tossed her hands up. "It was just a question, relax." Though she couldn't deny that there had been someone in her mind when she'd asked. Not that it was even close to her being in love - it couldn't be - but the heart wanted what it wanted she guessed. "I just wanted to know." she stated, listening to her brother as he explained what it was about Aarin that had given him the sign that she was the one. Not that there had ever been a question in Alli's eyes, but, she liked to hear things from Marcel's perception. "It's just, you know, the older that I get the more I realize how terrifying finding out you're in love with someone and that they're the one seems, so I was just wondering if it was just one of those things that like you said you lost her and was too scared to lose her forever or what." she shrugged. Though when he asked her if she was planning a wedding she shook her head. "Not a chance, I was just curious is all." she shrugged. "If I was planning a wedding, I'm pretty sure the world would be ending. I'm never getting married." @marcelvaughn

Marcel curled his brows together at the unexpected question asked by his younger sister. “Why do you ask?” He found himself countering first, before he added, “I think I always knew, but it wasn’t until I lost her that I realised how much.” He admitted truthfully. “You know that saying you don’t know what you have until you loose it? Kind of how it was for me.” He had just been too proud to admit or do anything about it, choosing to focus on his career instead and been fortunate enough that things worked out when he came back. “It also helped Aarin knew be before I ended up being the Marcel Vaughn.” He added with a teasing grin, “What you planning a wedding or something I don’t know about?” @alliannahvaughn

"Ridiculous maybe, but last time I checked it was one of the many things that you loved about me." she smiled, her voice sing-song on the word loved. That was the perk of being best friends for as long as they had; not only did they just understand each other best, even in the off chance they pissed each other off they were over it by the next time they saw each other. That was just part of it; at least in Alli's eyes. "Girl." she drawled. "You and me both. I don't even know if I liked Omar. Not even sure it was real, but I'd pick seven of him before Theo." she exhaled. "It's not my business and I try not to get in the middle of it, but, if I did, I'd make signs and hang them all over her apartment singing Omar's praises." she laughed. "Or at least dogging Theo. Something feels off about him." a shrug. That was enough of that. The smile only returned when the mention of baby onesies and Marcel and Aarin returned into the conversation. "They're the best. I mean, you know Aarin's been my sister pretty much since her and Marcel started dating in high school, so it's so fun that it's official." She bit into another fry, though, was hit with a bit of an unpleasant feeling in her stomach. Taking the opportunity to finish that one, she sat back a little, trying to let it pass. "I have to say this is my favorite part too. Even if we're sitting on the beach, or in the shade scrolling through our phones being in your company is always nice." @kiraxwilder

Kira leaned into the kiss with a grin. Her arm wrapped naturally around Alliannah's waist, something they had been doing for ages. "You're ridiculous," she grinned at her, the words holding a fondness she didn't have for many. "But I will accept the title of badass," she said as Alliannah made her way to the other side of the table just in time for the fries to arrive. Plucking a fry from the plate, she groaned and not because the fries were delicious but because Sawyer was back with Theo. "Not Theo again," she rolled her eyes with the words. "I really wish she would have stayed with Omar. They were absolutely adorable together." Kira stated as she reached for another fry and her lips curled into a smile at the mention of Marcel and Aarin's wedding bliss. "Aarin and Marcel are so sweet it has to be criminal." Her head shook fondly with the words, "Aunti Alli, that has a great ring to it if you ask me. I'll bring the marine onesies as soon as the news drops." Kira grinned brightly at her, "But for me? I'm good. Lab has been a bit chaotic lately. Someone mislabeled samples and I spent three hours yesterday alone trying to figure everything out." She rolled her eyes once more, "So, thrilling, obviously," though her lips parted in laughter, "but this is my favorite part of life. Sitting here with you, it dulls the chaos up here," she tapped a finger to her temple. @alliannahvaughn

"I mean, I'll keep my eye out for something cheap." she stated. "I can't make any promises I'll find something, but, if we find it you can keep it. Teach me to drive and then use it yourself." she shrugged. "As long as you also buy gas." she laughed. She knew that Nolan felt bad about the entire trip, and even though she'd told him more times than she could count that it wasn't a big deal, she knew he felt bad. All she'd wanted was to help him feel better, and it had worked. Looking over at him as he said his job was nothing fancy, she shrugged. "It's a job though. And you get to be outside. I was wondering why your hair looked a little lighter and your face a little darker." she smiled. Truly only features she'd notice. When he turned down the chips she shrugged, turning the bag upside down to get all the crumbs out and trying to finish them when he asked about bear, nearly making her choke. "We're in Oregon, I don't think there are bears here." she laughed. "Birds, plenty of sea creatures, but no bears I don't think." she shook her head. "We'll find someone to give them to. The homeless shelter, or hell, your coworkers at the Inn." she stated. "What do you have planned for the rest of the day?" @nolanxmurray

He smirked, "I mean, not like I will get a car any time soon, my own... " So he didn't care if she didn't drive well. "We just need some old thing that moves, "So it won't be anything fancy or that costs a lot, so it could work for them both in the end. Even though she said their trip was fine, and on her father, he still felt bad and wnated ot make up for it at some point. He didn't tell her he had lost his job before, and trailer that he had nothing for a while. "It's lame but it's a groundskeeper at the homey inn..." he said looking at her "Mowing the lawn and keeping the plants and crap looking good mostly " he said looking at her. "I am glad," he said and shook his head at the chips. "I've had enough," he wanted to eat both the ones they had started. "Um" he looked at what there was left. "shit I dont know.." he looked around hoping to see someone. "Think there are like bears or something?" he nodded with a laugh.

"Maybe we should first make sure that I even know how to drive a car without crashing it before we talk about going halfsies on a car, Murray." she laughed, shaking her head. While it didn't sound like the worst idea, she wasn't sure she was ready for that kind of responsibility. Not yet anyways. She was still paying for their trip, after all. And thankfully her dad hadn't gotten word of who she really took yet or she was sure she'd be working to pay him back first. "What are you doing now? Work wise I mean?" she asked. She'd done her best to keep up with him but with her own work schedule and everything else, she'd not been great at it. When he seemed concerned about the sandwiches, she shrugged. "Honestly, these chips are hitting the spot." she stated, holding the open bag towards him. "What are you going to do with all these sandwiches?" she laughed. "They're going to spoil before either of us can eat them." @nolanxmurray

He smirked, "Tell me about it." Why did he have no car himself? "I had a bike before I had one for years." It got him places, and that he really needed. "I was a dumbass as usual and lost it all now living with my brother..and borrowing a car" he hated all of it "But I got new job now" he made a face. "Sucks ass" he hated it, but he had work. "But maybe we can just sure at the car," both go in on it and make it work, he hoped. But really, it still did cost a lot to own a car. But Nolan smiled at her lightly. Their trip was wild, but good. She had her own nightmares, and he didn't really think anyone else did that, or had that problem. Their trip was the best time he had had in a while; it was good and fun, and they got close and shared a night with each other. "I hope you can eat that..." he said, or one of the other sandwiches would be better for him. "Might be it... " he looked at them. "I can eat whatever I guess," and he pays for it later if something is bad, maybe. "I hope one of the other sandwiches or the chips is good," he said, looking at her a little worried. @alliannahvaughn
