  He stares at the message for a few minutes. He knows what this means. He knows. What could he even say? His heart is racing, hammering in his chest like it’s going to leap out. There’s an apathy that shocks him. It sounds like... Akira killed her father. She isn’t lying, right? What good would come from assuming she was? Apathy for the victim. Sympathy for the killer. Isn’t that all wrong? As if he hasn’t thought about it. About killing his parents. As much as it horrifies him, he has dreamed about them dying. How can he judge her? If anything, she’s better. She actually did it. He didn’t have the balls. 

  He starts to type his reply. His fingers are trembling. Fear? Not really. Excitement? Maybe. Akira just entrusted him with a terrible secret. Like in some game, it feels like this means they are actually friends. Isn’t this all wrong? What the hell is wrong with him?
