A two piece scratchboard for @evenstarpoodles - first up is Rarity! The most gorgeous, gorgeous poodle who is now very much a champion! She was so much fun to create, such a lovely expression.

Little bit obsessed right now with how lovely ballpoint pen is to use. Meditative. Maybe it's just because it's a black moor.

These deer use the size of their shoal to show off their prowess to the ladies. The type of fish also seem to be relevant but further study is needed. This dude certainly seems very proud of his tetras. ...I might need to get more sleep.

So I spilled an entire container of pickled beetroot in my fridge. It went EVERYWHERE. Then I managed to spill it on the kitchen floor. It looked like a murder scene. Took forever to clean and now I have pink hands. Here's a tapir with antlers.

I realize I hadn't posted this piece before; a practice piece for a larger one I want to draw for myself. This piece is also one that threw me quite a bit, as I hadn't really considered pastel, or drawing people, that seriously until this one, as I thoroughly loved making this...

You know that feeling, when making art, when you get the flush of “this feels really good/fun/right”? When you unlock something that just feels very… you? Well, even though this piece started off as a silly, tired, scribble… and it was rushed, so Matt Berry is very off kilter... but there’s something that feels very right about this. Let’s see where it goes! (Also, BOOBIES).

Wait. Is that another Matt Berry with a booby on his head? Yes. Yes it is. When testing out new mediums and surfaces, I like to stick to the same subjects, to decide if I like the feel, taking out the randomness of a new subject. In this case.... I am very much loving working on claybord.

It's also another excuse to say booby.

Sorry not Sorry that this still makes me laugh even as I am working on it. Also, still surprised that it looks like him although I seem to be making his eyes overly kind, and we know this isn't true. 😂

I love how younger peeps don't know how to work a rotary phone, have never seen Terminator or Alien (insanity!), yet they will still get really annoyed at Grandpa Joe staying in bed for 20 years and only getting off his butt to go eat chocolate. It's hilarious how every age seems to know this story and get appropriately upset.

Anyway, this is My Little Pony Upside Down Applejack. A favourite of mine, a limited edition -Stranger Things inspired.

We are a little bit orange toned at the moment, but that will be rectified in the next layer. I am just surprised it still looks like Matt Berry.

I am definitely a person of two halves; One half adores doing highly intricate, soft, lovely drawings of people’s pets. Then there is the half that thinks drawing Matt Berry with a booby on his head is the most hilarious thing to happen in ages. (I should probably have picked someone easier to draw, but oh well.)

Apparently, today is Draw a Bird Day! The irony is that I drew Matt Berry with a Cormorant on his head this morning even before I knew it was such an important day.
