That's Totoro, my Axolotl. Usually he is very camera shy and I hardly get to make a cute picture, but the day finally came.

This post is very much correct.
Other species of tank mates (and even unevenly sized together tank mates, as in a baby with an adult) can result in serious harm of your Axolotl.
Fish have been known to pick at axolotl skin and gills, causing harm. Even if you just have a bottom-dwelling fish, it’s still dangerous. The axolotl might also attempt to eat them among who knows what else.
For your axolotl and fishes safety—don’t.
Ok Pleco People, I’ve seen the ULTIMATE NOPE of pleco tankmates. (Facebook, didn’t save the post. Couldn’t deal with seeing it. These pics are from bing.)
PLECOS AND AXOLOTLS.
Yeah, I have no idea who even thinks of this let alone does it... that’s cruel. Malicious. I can’t even dismiss this as stupidity, like you should know better, no questions.
I’m not an axolotl expert but I’ve only seen them in axolotl only tanks. No other creatures.
So everyone,
AXOLOTLS AREN’T FISH, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO PUT THEM WITH PLECOS.
(This is so horrible. I’m crying...)

This is Loc, he is my newest pet and Xochis tank mate, he is a younger wild type axolotl and seems to be almost full sized, as of now I’ve only had him for a few days.
