Charlie then decides to walk over and turn off the water. Since by now, the side walk was its own swampy ecosystem. " Wait really ? I've been working here a while, and I don't think ANYONE has ever volunteered... " He pauses, looks at the building, and after pondering a moment, turns back to Streber with a smile.

" I can go look in my boss's office for something like that-- he might have some sign up sheets or somethin-- at the very least we can get your info down. " No one else was here; so it was a good excuse to rummage through the Boss's stuff again. Charlie walks over to the door and opens it for the guest with a smile. " Follow me. "

"Our boss insists we stay in costume. In his words 'we gotta look fresh outta the morge'. Buuut being into goth fashion outside the costume, an active cosplayer, aaaaand a local actor I don't mind it."

Though I do agree with you, ya never know what ends up offensive to people. One time while just walking near the new church, the new nut of a priest tried to pour boiling water on me! Beacuse 'running a haunted house encourages satan'. Shit dude, he found out my eeeeevil plan. I'm tooootally trying to convert kids to satan by giving them fuckin glow in the dark spider rings!" You could cut the sarcasm in the last part with a knife it was so thick! Recently that same priest went missing. While Gregor was an old nut case, Streber didn't want him to go missing either. Streber just hoped he was okay.

Streber listening on to what the critter said about the building, he was genuinely interested! A charity that helps people smile? What a cool idea! You never know what kind of day someone else is having. A smile can help a ton in so many unexpected ways! Streber just hopped there were some kind of rules in place. With a place like this, you never know what kind of weirdo could take advantage of it. "Byyyyy any chance do you guys take part time volunteers? I'd love to help this place out in my free time!!! I'm sure I could help lighten the work load a little and take some stress off you guys!"

Charlie Pim And Bill Vs. The Alien

🙂 Damnit-- why did Pim sleep so long ? A sigh escaped the larger critter before he decided to just scroll through his phone endlessly until Pim woke up. When he finally felt Pim move, he SHOT up quickly and stretched; feigning a yawn.

" MMMmm yea-- mornin'. "

Yep, he was pretending like he hasn't been awake for an hour. Charlie rubs his eyes. " You uh-- slept okay ? " He mumbles, being actually pretty good at faking a groggy state. " I didn't like... snore or something, did I ? "

It was vague; but what he ACTUALLY wanted to know, was how far did their cuddling go.

He has to wait for a while as it seemed if Pim had a hot enough source of warmth his body entered 'eepy' mode. Pim slept for a good extra hour until he began to finally rouse from his sleep.

Pim nuzzled against the big, warm marshmallow he'd been hanging off in his dream and mumbled something like 'thanks' before he finally opened his eyes and as they focused all he could see was yellow.

"Uh...?" he asked before rolling back at last and rubbed his hands against his eyes. He stretched, making a high pitched noise as he did. "Ahh.... phew!"

Pim sat up in the bed, brain waking up still as he turned his head to Charlie who was still sleeping on his side. "Good morning Charlie!"

🙂 Eyes widened, Charlie freezes as still as a statue. The next coarse of action was unclear. Does he wake Pim up ? Does he try to quietly wiggle away ? Or does he do what his body was TELLING him too do, which was continue to ENJOY it.

Charlie closes his eyes back; pretending to fall back asleep. But he wasn't. His mind was wide awake with RACING thoughts. Pim surely doesn't MEAN to do this-- he's just asleep and its all an accident. Like how Charlie himself was holding Pim moments ago.

Yea.. Just an accident, it's not WEIRD. He waits for Pim too wake up.

Pim's arms had been wrapped against Charlie as much as his short arms could reach, so when the comfortable warmth he'd been held by suddenly shifted the pink critter screwed his face up, barely awake.

"Nnn... no..." Pim mumbled, half asleep, and rolled over towards the retreating warmth.

He found Charlie's back and acting more like a suction cup toy than a critter, latched onto Charlie's back and even nuzzled his face against Charlie's back. Pim hummed a contented noise and drifted back to sleep from whence he came.

He wasn't ready to wake up fully, yet.

🙂 " Hey uh-- we are closin' up now. " The truth was, Smiling friends wasn't closed up for 10 more minutes. But Charlie was the only one here-- so who was going to stop him ? He walked up to the individual checking out the GIANT smiling building.

🙂 Normally, Charlie slept fine but often moved around a lot in his sleep. Mostly to air out the blankets ( he gets hot very easily ) or turn to change the position of his weight on different parts of his back.

But because of the overwhelming comfort of the beer, a nice bed, and his dearest friend, he slept like a BOULDER. Come morning, Charlie groans. His back was killing him, and he felt a little too warm. That was when he realized WHY.

Charlie's stomached turned with butterflies and he let go of Pim to roll over quickly; Though, he pretended he was still asleep for the time being, in case that woke the other Critter up.

Pim, for how anxious he was during the waking hours, when it was time for bed Pim tended to sleep and sleep like the dead. So rarely did he toss, or turn, in his sleep and would almost always wake up exactly how he laid down.

So when large arms wrap themselves around his sleeping form he is, at first, completely unresponsive.

But something in him, that ever present need to please, begins curling into the embrace slightly. He'd never know how softly he smiled in his sleep now, either.

Or the content, soft sigh that passed his lips.

It's a little too JUST FOR LOOKS for him. " I don't trust the whole COSTUME thing. Never know when something will be offensive in 10 years. "

Despite Streber's comment, he continues to water the CONCRETE. " This is the Smiling Friends. We are a charity that try and make people smile. But I'm not on the field today, I'm just taking walk-ins. "

"Weeeeellll, yes and no. I work for a food truck where the theme is the undead. Part of the job is just committing to the bit, the other part is selling some of the most rancid food ever. As our boss says bad food sells burgers. Buuuut I also ware this for cons, and a haunted house I run each year depending on the theme."

Streber was on his lunch break but when you see a giant smiley face building. It's only natural to be curious! It's not everyday you see a building that looks like that. "Whaddya about you? What do you do? What's with the smiley building? Also you know you're wasting that water bottle right? Unless you're watering that dandelion in the sidewalk crack. If that's the case, good job! That little dude must be thirsty."
