garage life … A ‘63 Alpine-Gordini M63 in Jean Rédélé’s workshop at Dieppe the M63 was Alpine’s very first purpose built race car, set to race the 24 Heures du Mans, it was designed by Lotus’ designer Len Terry, loosely based on the production A110 however, Terry designed it with ‘62 rules in mind & a lot things changed for the ‘63 season, so it had to be reworked, this was done by Frenchmen Bernard Boyer & Richard Bouleau that year it only raced the 24 Heures du Mans, without much success, but it was the start of something great …

August 2010: Bestandsaufnahme Motorraum, Hitzeschutzbleche, Devilendtopf
Im Auto war ein Motor mit einer 3fach-Weber-Doppelvergaseranlage und scharfen Nockenwellen verbaut (den habe ich leider nicht mitgekauft :-(, wir durch einen Serienmotor mit Originalvergaser  ersetzt )
Kontaktlose Zündung ab Baujahr 81 serienmässig
Hitzeschutzbleche stark korrodiert (man könnte auch sagen: weggerostet)
der Devilendtopf sieht genau so schlimm aus
Krümmer auch korrodiert 
August 2010: Current condition of the engine bay, Heat protective plates, Devil silencer
engine with 3 Weber double barrel carburators and performance camshafts was fitted, (but unfortunately i haven't bought this engine :-(, it has to leave and will be replaced by a stock engine with original carburators fitted)
transistor ignition from 81 model as standard
Heat protective plates heavy corrosion or better: gone with the rust
Devil silencer is in same bad condition as the heat protective plates
exhaust manifolds are in bad condition as well

Cockpitinstrumente ausgeblichen, Tachometer defekt (Ritzel gebrochen)
abgelesener Kilometerstand zu Beginn der Restauration: 147850 KM
Sitze beim Kauf schon ausgebaut aber vorhanden
Innenausstattung bis auf wenige Teile vollständig (fehlende Teile wurden mittlerweile aufgetrieben)
August 2010: Current condition of the interior
bleached out dials of the instruments in the dashboard, speedometer defect (pignon is broken)
current milage at the beginning of the restoration:147850 KM
seats already disassembled from the car but both in place
Interior is nearly complete (meanwhile missing parts has been completed)

Zustand der originalen TRX-Felgen: leichte Korrosion (wären sicherlich gut aufzuarbeiten)

The condition of the 30 year old fibreglass bodywork in detail:
Fissures/cracks in the fibreglass body work
slightly front damage at the passenger side
remnants of an ugly bodykit from the 80's
condition of the original TRX wheels is not so bad (slightly corrosion)
