i find it absolutely wild that in one ending w.yll adopts a baby. the man is 24 and just got out of a 7 year pact with a devil. let him Not have any other responsibility for a while. let him get drunk at the tavern and process his trauma.

you know what drives me insane ?? wyll never speaks of what happened with m.izora. not truly, not with words. after having his mouth sealed by his contract for so many years, he still can't put the words together. his first instinct is to reach with the tadpole, be it to t.av/d.urge or his father. for someone who is very eloquent and very poetic when he wishes to, all he can be when confronted with the truth of that night is silent.

Also also i’m forever yelling about w.yll’s ‘you don’t know what you’re asking me to do’ and k.arlach’s ‘i’m asking you to live.’ and at that point he doesn’t know if he will live or if m.izora will punish him with lemurhood but he spares her anyway because she’s innocent 🥲

had the confrontation with florrick today again, (and my high charisma pc’s always convince her) but i’m over here laying on the floor about the terrible things wyll has to hear about his character when all he did was dare to take back his freedom. and what if florrick didn’t back down, he’d have to strike a close family friend for self preservation but oof the guilt he’d feel over her death.

#ooc .#there’s something very real abt an abuser slandering your reputation once they lose their grip on you #that i don’t rlly want to unpack haha #But someone sit with him and shake him pls #he forgives everyone because it wasn’t truly their fault #his father protecting the gate #m.izora manipulating f.lorrick #etc etc #and he feels like he can’t blame them because he feels that he’d do the same in their position #but he internalises all those negative feelings and insults #(doesn’t believe all of them either but that way of coping has its Toll)#and he never gives Himself the same benefit of the doubt #🥲

au where instead of mizora, w,yll follows his father stories, and seeks ansur for assistance because who can face a cult of tiamat but another legendary dragon. he still becomes a warlock, albeit great old one subclass with ansur as his patron. maybe he still leaves, maybe he stays to protect baldur's gate, either way heart of the gate.

hi, hello, i am forever crying about wyll referring to his past self as gone, as a memory of a memory. bc one hand it Is true, it is what happens with growing up and even more so, after experiencing trauma.

he is the blade now, except it’s a name given to him by the people, and friends call him wyll anyway.

today for father's day, we broke wyll's contract again ... sorry ulder we're going to break in the iron throne later

#ooc .#i'm very torn on what wyll would actually chose with no guidance what so ever #because it could very well go either way #his freedom from mizora is something he always wanted but never dared to hope in a way #but he already sacrificed his soul once for the city #he Could very well damn his soul eternally for the same reason #his regret does not lie with the reason he did it (which is why he swears he does not regret it)#but with the consequences and who's to say he wouldn't do so again #i have a clearer view with the b.lade vs d.uke ending #bc he vehemently says he does Not want to be a d.uke #and if he does agree it's only to appease his father / the city #but it is Not what he wishes his future to be #however with the contract it's so much more muddy

one might find it hypocritical of a warlock to be so cautious of a deal with the devil. but it is only one who has been touched by the flames of avernus, reborn by hellfire, to know where the true cost lies. his fate had been sealed since the dreadful night he cannot speak of, but he knows this; there's no escape from a sold soul. the weight of his new horns, proves as much.

"it is far too soon to contemplate such an offer," he says lowly. lae'zel still laments about their sole chance lying in the creche. the druid, halsin, that nettie spoke of remains lost in the forest, or at the goblins mercy. and given his experience as a leader of a grove, wyll finds the first option unlikely. "raphael may seem eager to assist us, but hold this in your memory; when the time he'll require of you only what you're least ready to part with."

the gods know what mizora has taken from him, and his pact had been focused to hunting the infernal. desperation is a poor motivation and fiends are drawn to it like moths to a flame. "devils won't just take anything. he'll take everything." even if one thinks they no longer have anything else to give.
