Namo: What’s your biggest fear? Maedhros: That I’ll never be good enough for anyone. Maglor: Everyone hates me and talks about me behind my back. Celegorm: Zombies. Maedhros: ... Maglor: ... Celegorm: BUT they can open doors.

I watched the stream of the Lay of Leithian rock opera hosted by @emeraldskulblaka and I’m foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog! Like it’s so intense and dramatic and shiny! (Morgoth is SO shiny it’s hilarious but he still manages to be that larger than life, menacing presence).

I don’t understand a single word of Russian but the singers were so good it didn’t matter and the subtitles were real good. And from the subtitles, they adapted the text from the Lay of Leithian pretty accurately, especially in the key scenes. The battle of Finrod and Sauron… the CHILLS! THE TEARS!

"Hello." A voice out of the darkness sends them all into high alert.

"Who's there?" Feanor calls, pulling his sons closer.

"Elros."

Maedhros gasps. "Elros?! No. No. What are you doing here, pityo? Tell em you didn't-"

"No. Atya- Maedhros-" Elros sighs roughly. "No. I am mortal, I just wanted to- " He sighs again. "I missed you."

"Oh. Elros..."

"I wanted to say hello, and goodbye, for I am to go onwards to Iluvatar as all mortals do."

"Mortal... Pityo... Elrond?"

"Elrond walks the path of the elves, he and I are now forever separated." Elros sighs tiredly at the thought of his twin. "Well, when you get out - no not if, when - when you get out will you tell him I miss him? That I love him?"

"Yes." Maedhros promises easily.

"Thank you." Elros smiles. "I love you, atya. Tell Maglor that too, when you see him."

"I will."

And as quickly as he came Elros is gone and an overwhelming sorrow overcomes Maedhros for the loss of one of the twins, one of his foster sons, his son. "I love you too, Elros." Maedhros whispers into the darkness. "I love you, yonya."

For some reason the idea of Elros just coming around to visit Feanor and sons in the Void is not leaving me be. Like on his way to Iluvatar he makes a pitstop or something, I dunno.

Elrond and Elros extorting the rules to get what they want will always be hilarious.

"Are the fëanorians war criminals" this "do elves even have a concept of war crimes" that, but have we considered:

Baby elrond and elros knowing that mistreating hostages is very much frowned upon and bringing this up every time maedhros or maglor does something like "make them leave the library" or "tell them to eat vegetables" or "fail to tell them a bedtime story"

so i found out that ao3 is changing the tag names for silm characters and. they got rid of the quenya names even though people USE THEM. i am heartbroken

oh well at least celebrimbor is safe

And I will protect my friends with all the strength of the Feanorians as if they were the real Silmarils cause I have like one really good friend, maybe two(Drawing a blank currently so huh). Just need a third and we're set to go kick the forces of Darkness back into the shadows from whence they came.

Elrond deciding to be a little gremlin and dress up with some of the Jewelry. And everyone wonders where he keeps getting new stuff not realizing that he has most of if not all of the jewelry the sons of Feanor came over with. (Of course they lost, pawned, or gifted some already, but Elrond is a gremlin and will find it if it isn't melted down already.)

Another headcanon of mine is that when Maglor and Maedhros sent the peredhel twins away they stuffed their bags and clothes with their jewellery from Valinor.

This partially because the twins liked the jewellery, partially for if the twins ran out of money on the journey to Gil Galad and needed to sell something for cash and partially for the preservation of possessions that were very important to them once upon a time.

Since, due to circumstances, Feanor hasn’t been around to make new jewellery, anything made be him is worth a fortune. Elves often go on Valinorian bargain hunting and auction shows to try and find out whether their necklace or earrings was made by Feanor’s workers or Feanor himself.

This is how Elrond ends up with a couple of millions if not billions of pounds in jewellery.

Freelancing in technical theater means you’re on a lot of different email lists. People need a crew, they send out an email, you respond with your availability. Now, most people start these with things like “hey folks” or “hi everyone”. Neal is not most people.

His openers started off innocent enough.

Then, he started to push boundaries.

And as you can see, it has spiraled out of control since then.

I wish I had a 9 to 5 work day. Instead I get 7 to 12, which is 5 hours, but only on Monday and Tuesday. Sometimes I get a Wednesday, but other than that it's two days a week, five hours a day, for about 10 hours total a week.

Give me more hours, I know you got 'em!

Also, they change my schedule two hours before I go in. Today I was supposed to go in at 7, was texted at 6:40 to be told that the manager would be ten minutes late.

Last week I was to go in at 7. I was texted at 6:25 that they(the manager) wouldn't be in until 8:30. See, the problem was was that I was dropped off at work at 6:40 since my ride had work. That meant I had to walk home which was a half hour walk. I wasn't staying there for an hour and a half. The manager offered me a ride which was the only reason I went in to work that day.

This isn't mention the work expected of us which is the load of six people on three of us. But they had a crew come in to help us that didn't know what they were doing and completely messed up things so now we have to take at least half an hour to fix displays which really cuts into our five hour work days.

I can and will quit if I don't have better work conditions... And more hours.
