fanfiction can be better than the source material because the source material is almost always this carefully planned marketing strategy, full of meticulously calculated editor choices and alterations of the creator's vision made to keep investors happy.
but fanfiction is the work of a deranged freak who's overly passionate and wrote it out of nothing but pure love.
or pure hate.
or pure lust.
but either way. it's something pure.
something fascinating. with endless potential. and you'll never ever see a compromise on the artist's vision. fanfiction is the totality of someone's freak.
Despite being a villain, Dabi has pretty black and white view of morality and has very distinct ideas about how heroes should act.
And I think that if we did get to see him rehabilitated, it would be really funny to watch him be constantly irritated by little brother, Shoto “the law is stupid so I ignored it” Todoroki.
Imagine him on house arrest: he watches new pro hero, Shoto (who does not have a driver’s license) on TV illegally commandeer some random civilian’s vehicle to go save Deku and is very offended.
“This is the kid you picked to be a hero?!?! This criminal?!?!”
“You burned down like three cities.”
“Yeah, but I was a villain. He just stole that guy’s car! He’s supposed to be a hero.”
There are moments in wrestling that are just beyond special. Moments that get you right down to your absolute core and has you looking back on it for a long, long time and this is one of them. It's just so incredibly cool and knowing what it means to them makes it hit so much more. This is for them, this is for the real ones who rode with this type of storytelling since the beginning but most of all this is for Bray. This is a legacy.
